How To Make A Table - Put Label For Each Column To Identify What Values Are
May 27, 2014
So I just processed this rectangular array and made myself a table. I want to put a label for each column to identify what the values are. My attempt at this failed miserably, because it looks horrible. Here is the necessary code.
If you are to compile this yourself, you would see the horrible output at the end. I would like to know how to properly align each label with its corresponding column.
The problem is that I populate the table with autoincrement primary key. I don't want it to be visible. I have been googling for hours to find no solution. It seems that sql/mysql provides no solution by selecting all table columns except one. So I wonder, how I could overcome this problem. Here is some of my code:
public void tableChanged(TableModelEvent e) { int row = e.getFirstRow(); int col = e.getColumn(); model = (MyTableModel) e.getSource(); String stulpPav = model.getColumnName(col); Object data = model.getValueAt(row, col);
[Code] .....
The ID is used in
stmt.addBatch("update finance.fin set " + stulpPav + " = " + duom + " where ID = " + studId + ";");
I tried to omit ID from my SELECT statement, I tried to put Date as a first element in data[iEil][0] but neither options were successful. Data hasn't been changed in database. NOW, everything works fine, except I don't want ID column to be visible in my table.
I am having difficulty with a sorting routine. I believe that the concept is valid (although not necessarily the most efficient), but I keep running into a problem. I am trying to use the compareTo function to identify the relationship between two values in an array, but it seems to have an issue with it being a comparison of two float values.
Java Code:
for (int x = 0; x < 430; x++) { for (int y = 0; y < 430; y++) { if (dataArray[y].compareTo(dataArray[y + 1]) > 0); { tempOpen = dataArray[y];
[Code] ....
It gives the compile error as follows:
File: C:UsersBradDownloadsAssignment 3Calculations.java [line: 157] Error: Cannot invoke compareTo(float[]) on the array type float[]
How do i make the 'date' column show only the date and 'timeIn' and 'timeOut' column only show the time. In my database table my 'date' column is a date type and 'timeIn' and 'timeOut' column is time.
I have a database table containing two columns A and B. They both contain integers. I'd like to know if it's possible, when displaying them in a JTable, to be combined in one column X. I still need, however, to be able to distinguish them from each other when selecting a row from the JTable. E.g. to store each of the values in a a separate variable. Maybe I can combine them when reading from the ResultSet and use some sort of delimiter ? But how?
From what I can determine check boxes are applied in SWT to the first column only of a table.
final Table table_project = new Table(g3_tabfolder_projects, SWT.BORDER | SWT.CHECK);
However I require check boxes on all cells. I tried creating a table for each column (which gives me my check boxes) but as the number of enries are often numerous and thus require vertical scroll the tables become out of sync (and to the user that sync is important).
Before I knock up some code to try and synchronise the tables I just wanted to check any alternative approaches. The project is SWT based.
How to catch the event when table view's column are re-positioned. Basically when the column is re-positioned from 1 position to 5 position , i want to do update the db.
how can i get id from db table for each column values with java or oracle query? i did get before each column content from file and now i need get the id of this column values from db. I read csv files from folder and then load the data from these files into subfolder, and here with line li = line.split(","); i get the values that i have in csv file and split them and become in li the value name, and then in else block i create a P objekt where i set this values from csv files, and with [I]p.setLid(li);
I set the value for all valuenames, and then get these valuenames in separate column with other content from this csv, and my question is, i need to do this with db, and write these csv file values to the table in db (it will be done with another java class), what i need, that to write the ids of these values into the table in db, instead of valuename, and while there is no ids for valuenames in csv files, i need to get the id from the table in db where these are already listed with sequences.
I don't know how can i write in data table the id of this valuenames and other content, this data table should contain the ids of valuenames timestamp values and the ids of the csv files name, i don't know how to do this with the ids, i must get the ids from the db table and then set these on [I]p.setLid(li); where i set early the valuenames, instead of valuenames i should set ids, that will set ids automatically for all these valuenames.
try { while ((line = br.readLine()) != null) { if (lc == 0) { li = line.split(","); } else { String[] temp = line.split(","); for (int i = 1; i < temp.length; i++) { p = new P();
[code]....
i got the values that then will be given to [I]p.setLid(li); and iterate, but now i want to get id from the table in db where this values stored with id instead of this column values, how can i do it?
I have a requirement where in my primefaces datatable ,the filterMatchMode attribute(like any part of field,whole field) needs to be selected by the user by select menu .
To achieve this i have declared a variable in my viewscoped managed bean as filterCriteria and set the filterMatchMode attribute as filterMatchMode="#{beanName.filterCriteria}".The bean variable is getting set in the managed bean on submit but the filtering is not happening,i am getting empty message.
Also when i remove the keyed in value from filter box the data table is not restored which otherwise must be restored in normal situations. I have used and modified the example code given in primefaces showcase here.The code snippet is as below
<h:form id="tblFrm"> <h:selectOneMenu id="filterOptions" value="#{dtFilterView.filterOption}" required="true" requiredMessage="You must select an option!"> <f:selectItem id="hd1" itemLabel="Select" itemValue="#{null}" />

How would you set a column in a JTable to make it unable to gain focus i.e. select the next column on the same row or ignore the command completely when selecting a column that should not be able to be gained focus on?
I'm doing a software Java GUI - JFrame form like this:
1. The user wants to click on a button that opens a bunch of images that will be displayed as thumbnail in the bottom of the JFrame . 2. Then the user wants to select/click one of the thumbnail and make appear the corresponding image in it's original size on above(center) of the JFrame.
For doing this I used 3 JPanel.
One contains a JButton that opens the jfilechoser dialog window, the second "panelPreview" is for putting the thumbnails created, and the third "panelGrande" is for the image in it's original size.
The firs part "1." is ok.
But in the second part : I got one error when I want to put the ImageIcon in to the JLabel with the further intent of displaying it.
lblBig(imgIcoVett[i]);
In this project I'm dealing with arrays of ImageIcons and JLabels, so it's a bit advanced level for me, so I'm not sure that I wrote right the part of the MouseListener too.
The error displayed by netbeans says "cannot find symbol symbol: method lbl (ImageIcon) local variables referenced from an inner class must be final or effectively final"
Here I attach the project I did with netbeans"AAAD Unlayout 2.zip", but if you just need the highlight of the code, here it is too:
I am stuck and having a problem trying to find what i believe is a simple fix but can't wrap my head around it. For class I needed to make a table that prints out Sin,Cos,Tan for angles in steps of 5 to 180. The problem is in my output with the first couple lines of the table. for angle 5.0 the Sin(.0872) Cos(.9962) and Tan (.0875) are being displayed on the angle line 10.0
public class TrigTable { public static void main(String[] args) { double angle = 0; double sin =0; double cos = 0; double tan = 0;
System.out.println("Angle Sin Cos Tan"); // Table header for the values
[Code] ....
Here is the first couple lines of output:
Angle Sin Cos Tan ----- --- --- --- 0.0 0.0 1.0 0.0 5.0 0.0 1.0 0.0 10.0 0.0872 0.9962 0.0875 15.0 0.1736 0.9848 0.1763 20.0 0.2588 0.9659 0.2679
I need a code to get a text from a textField to a label but the label is on a different frame, i will give u an example of what i have so far. so this is the main:
package albaestate; public class AlbaEstate { public static void main(String[] args) { Frame1 first = new Frame1(); first.setVisible(true); }
/*[B]now i have the first frame where i input the information[/B]*/
package albaestate; public class Frame1 extends javax.swing.JFrame { public Frame1() { initComponents();
[Code] ....
What i need is to input the code so that in jLabel5 i get the text from jTextField1 in Frame1; in jLabel6 i need the text from jTextField2 also in Frame1; and in jLabel7 i want to display the calculation of what the jbutton1 in Frame1 is calculating.
This simple program should build a new table with random values and on the getValue method (perhaps called from othe TestClass) return back content of particular cell. why my getValue method doesn't work. Nay! It returns error while compilation.
import java.util.Random; class TablicaIntowa{ public int getValue(int a){ return tabl[a]; } //getValue method end
I had to make a table showing different values for converting kg to lbs and I'm confused because when it compiles, some of the decimals show correctly and some of them show with several 0's added on with another number on the end. I've tried to do math.random, but I'm not sure how to tie it in with my program.
//1 kg = 2.2 lbs public class kg_to_lbs { public static void main(String[] args) { //not sure if values are needed.. int kg = 1; double lbs = 2.20; //Table title
How do I put this code in a way that it works because I know it is probably something obvious but I cant find how to make the array readable without error. It is supposed to intake two values and output what day of the week it is.
Testing Program
Initial day: Monday Next day: Tuesday Next day again: Wednesday Previous day: Tuesday Next week: Tuesday Add 4 days from initial day: Friday
Write a piece of code that would change something in the one of the buttons created using the loop? I have spent few hours reading about the arrays, different methods and can't think or apply a working solution.
I am doing an multi user chat application, i don't know how to identify the particular pair of user (both end chatting user) among users. and want to send message separately.., which steps i have to fallow, HasMap(); or what is the procedure to achieve my target.
This is my server side program,
Java Code:
import java.util.*; import java.net.*; import java.io.*; public class ChatServer { Vector<String> users = new Vector<String>(); Vector<HandleClient> clients = new Vector<HandleClient>(); public void process() throws Exception { ServerSocket server = new ServerSocket(1234);
Im running an eclipse application in my machine. I have two queries
1. I would like to know how to check the default heap size that the jvm is using to run the application.Im using a windows machine to run the java application. I tried to check the default heap size by the following way ControlPanel--->Programs--->JavaSetting--> JavaTab -->View Button ---> JavaRuntimeEnvironment settings window ---> Userstab --> Value under RuntimeParameters
But in my system, there is no runtime parameters defined. Is there a command that I can execute via command prompt to check the default heap size in my machine.
2. How to increase the heap size parameter and run the eclipse plugin application from command prompt. For eg: To increase the heap size and execute the jar file we use the below command java -Xms64m -jar MyApp.jar. I would like to know how to set heap parameters and execute my java application which is an exe file. I tried to execute use the below command, but the command prompt doesnot recognise the command
