JSF :: Dialog Box Data Show In Primefaces Datatable When Click On CommandButton
Aug 5, 2014
When i click on 'Add Invoice' button open a dialog box. input data in dialog box. After click on 'Save Invoice' all the data of dialog box is render in primfaces datatable. After that click on 'Save Invoices' all data of primefaces datatable and HTML table data are store in ipsDetail and Invoice object of Managed Bean class.
Here, Problem is ipsDetail elements NULL when click on 'Save Invoice' button in addRow() so that primefaces datatable not updated. So that i can not insert new invoice data in database table.
After some fiddling, I have the visual format that I want for my dialog.
First, I had to set the scrollHeight for the dataTable to 25% to get have the whole scrollable table contained in the dialog. Why 25%? What is that relative to?
Second, I had to use the !important declaration for the width and height of the dialog to get the sizing to take. Is that normal with PrimeFaces when styling using a CSS class?
I have created one dataTable in page and shown some columns but I want to show only those columns which have entries ( if any column doesn't have record then it should not be displayed on the page.) . How should I put validation on this and display table.
I have a bookings table where customers can view their bookings and in the table there is a button with a command button that onclick goes to the dialogue to display the variable petUpdate value but if you have 2 bookings then all the update buttons display the value of the last petUpdate in the arrayList.
DataTable with the button
<p:dataTable id="bookingTable" var="customerBooking" value="#{booking.sessionBookingList}" editable="true" style="margin:0px 0px 20px 100px;font-size:15px;width:600px;" >
Code in the above datatable.......The commented out output label displays the correct value for each but when the button is clicked the dialog only displays the last ones value
I am a newbie in java prgmming using netbeans IDE . I have a code Java Code:
List<String> files = service.getSecureCloudStoragePort().listFiles(); SelectFileDialog dialog = new SelectFileDialog(this.getFrame(),true,files); mh_sh_highlight_all('java');
My files value get as :
[1_car.txt@2, 5_Van.txt@6]
The 2 and 6 refers user id ... I need to show only particular user with his own id.
So need to filter the files value with that id (after @ in raw data) .. How it can do ? any method to filter the data . That data format could not be changed in any way...
I've recently decided to learn Java on my own using internet material such as forums, blogs and you tube. Ive never programed before but through some research I concluded that Java is going to be on the mid spectrum of difficulty as far as verbiage goes. I ma in no way implying that Java is easy but instead closer to spoken English that c++ if my research is correct. So here is my attempt at a basic program where I click a button and it will make an image appear. Not sure where Im falling short
package clicktoimage; import java.awt.*; import java.awt.event.*; import javax.swing.*; public class Clicktoimage extends JFrame { private JLabel label; private ImageIcon image;
In JButton's click event, I wanto to show a JPanel to print the message "Processing" on the screen. Before JButton's click logic end, hide the JPanel.
Actually, JPanel is not displayed. I do not know why.When msgPanel .setVisible(false); is commented out, JPanel is normally displayed .But do not know how to hide it when JButton's click logic is finished.
Here is the code.
loadBtn.addActionListener(new ActionListener() { @Override public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent arg0) { JPanel msgPanel = new JPanel(rootFrame); // Show the message JPanel
I'm trying to get a primefaces data list working and not sure I'm doing this correctly, having a problem with getting this view to display. Here is my xhtml .
I'm new in JSF, so maybe this is a very simple problem: My small application actually uses 'primefaces ' and I'd like to display the course of some laboratory values this way:
I'm trying to display the data from database in a jtable by following the jtable demo example in Java Tutorials Sample Code; but, I couldn't output the data to the jtable. The following code is what I've done so far.
I am still working on my java course and now we have to create a jar file from a previous project (this is a project where a connection to the database is made and data is shown in a frame).
When I follow the instruction in my course material I don't get it to work. I've tried the following:
1. Open eclipse on windows xp 2. Right click on the project folder in eclipse 3. Click on "export" in the menu that appears 4. Choose "runnable jar" 5. click next 6. I insert the following parameters:
- Launch configuration --> I select my main class - export destination --> I select the folder D: - library handling --> Package required libraries into generated jar
7. click Finish
This is what happens when I dbl click the jarfile (wampserver is running):
1. I get an error: "SQL ERROR: Communications link failure The last packet sent successfully to the server was 0 milliseconds ago. The driver has not received any packets from the server."
2. I click ok on the message and the following message appears: "SQL Error: null"
3. I click ok on this message and the frame with the fields appears without data from the database.
I am working on a project named as "Auto Click and Populate". This is link is like online feedback form / surveys which we program. I have a link with me which is mentioned below and there will be a counter box which will hit the link that much number of times.
Inputs:
-A text box having this link. -A numeric box having counter number i.e. the number of times the link should be processed. -A button named as process which will INITIATE the process.
Now say if I input 10 into the numeric box; the attached file contain link should be processed 10 times and the question which is coming on the link should be answered randomly out of the options which are present. For ex: When you will hit a link; the first question will be gender in that 3 options are present "Male", "Female" and "Prefer not to answer"; either of 1 out of 3 should be punched automatically and proceed automatically ahead. The punch(es) will be stored in database which is maintained at my end.I have done research and till now found the code for auto click only and not for auto process.
class A { List<StringBuilder> list; public void output(List<StringBuilder> objectToOutput){ try(BufferedWriter bw = new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter("temp.txt"))){ for(StringBuilder row:objectToOutput) bw.write(row.toString()); }catch(IOException e){}
[code]....
Why don't the a's show up on the console? I put them in as part of the debugging process and now I don't understand why they don't show up in both places.
I have a requirement like in a Rich datatable, and i have placed two links up and down in one of the column of each row, here i wanted to swap rows (move up/ down ) the rows when i click the link on a perticular row. is it possible with jsf/ java script?
When I have a datatable of primefaces with paginator and its only readable and not editable, its not needed to be inside of a form, right? although I have seen it many times inside of it
1. If we have and xhtml page and we just have a datatable to show some records through a managed bean, I think there is no validation phase, apply request values phase... so it would be a faces request but not with the lifecycle of a jsf request, right?
2. In the previous case because the normal phases of a jsf request are not going to be called, the method that will be called in the backing bean to get the records, could be called more than once although its not a normal faces request?
I am having a hard time trying to wrap my head around trying to get a couple of columns in a datatable populated with values from a @OneToMany collection. The concept is simple but my brain refuses to grasp it!! I will try to make this brief...
I have several forms built with primefaces 3.5 using NetBeans 8 IDE on a JBoss EAP 6.21 server, and JPA 2.1 annotations. Data is extracted from an Oracle 11 database, which consists of several lookup tables, as well as a primary table and secondary table. Using the EntityManager createQuery method I query the database, which of course returns a resultset. The query grabs all records from the primary, as well as values from 2 specific columns of the secondary database, based on search criteria entered by the user on a primefaces search form. The returned results are then iterated through, this is where I am trying to get the values from the secondary table to populate specific fields in the datatable.Here is the applicable code from the list.xhtml form containing the datatable:
As odd as the code may look (and I will completely understand anyone cringing as to some of the coding methods I use), specifically with the ui:repeat tags nested inside the datatable tag of the list.xhtml form, I strangely do see the values from the secondary table showing up in the form showing the results in a datatable. However, when the user clicks on a specific record in the returned resultset listed in the datatable, another form is opened and populated with the values from the datatable, but the 2 fields on that form that should be populated with the 2 values I referred to before from the secondary table (i.e. policy1Num and totalPayoutAmt) do not have the values in them.
This is partly because I have those 2 fields in the editable form pointing to the managed bean of the secondary table (code from that bean not shown here), rather than the same "polNum. policy1 Num" and "totPayout.totalPayoutAmt" var I am using in the list.xhtml form. How those values are being successfully returned into the datatable of the list.xhtml form - I happened to "stumble" across the use of the "polNum" and "totPayout" vars with the "policy Payment Collection" list. I do not know how to do the same thing for those 2 fields in the editable form.how a datatable gets populated, specifically with values in a @OneToMany collection,
