I have a listbox where data is displayed. The problem is when two items in the list have the same label, I am not able to get the correct item details; the item details are different.
I am using MyFaces 2.0 on Tomcat 6.

I have a java file 'Arithmetic.java', in which i have 2 overridden method.Now i wanted to read this file and i need to print all the method signature lines,if i found same(overridden method)signature then i have to print "overridden method found". once i find the overridden method i have to suffix the method name as methodName_overridden1, methodName_overridden2 and so on...
package com.abcd.arithmetic; public class AllArithmatic { public Integer add(int x,int y,int z) { return (x+y-z); } public Float substract(float x, float y)
[code]....
till now i am able to read the lines, able to read the method names as well. but while putting the entire method signatures into an string array and the suffixing part , i am not able to proceed. The condition i have put to find out oerridden method is nnot working.i am stucked in comparing the duplicate method
//Finds Method Name, Method Return Type if(indexOfMethod >-1 && indexOfOpenBrace >-1){ int uniqueWordsInFile=0; //Method signature Start //System.out.println("method line="+line.trim()); List<String> methodList = new ArrayList<String>(); methodList.add(line.trim());
I have retrieve the data in listbox from my database already and now again i want to select the data from this listbox and query on it , is it possible?
For Ex i have listbox as follows
<h4>Models For Selected Pattern:</h4> </br> <select Name="drop_model" multiple="true"> <%
I am working on a keypad for a phone app for school. I cannot get the numbers from the keys to show up in the textField. I have made multiple tweaks, but think maybe my case statement is the problem?We did a calculator application in the class, so I have based my code off of that. Although the telephone keypad seemed much simpler to code, I can't seem to get the numbers to show up.
public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) { //test for button clicks foundKey = false; //search for clicked key for (int i=0; i<keys.length && !foundKey; i++)
I am having a pretty bad time with this y goto to classes one form labels with a certain image and the other for another images of the same kind but what i have to do is to use a third class in which both classes have to compile and appear in the right place. Ineed an example or something because i don't get it what to do?
I've created a chat program, but now I need to show messages in different colors depending if the message is received or sent. I was wondering if I can use jlabel to do this but in this case I need that jlabels to scroll in a jpanel. how to do this or maybe using a rtf ?
When i run the program it doesn't show all the text fields and labels and stuff but when i click btnTest_1 and go back to btnTest everything appears...
Java Code:
import javax.swing.*; public class Frame extends JFrame{ private JTextField textField; private JTextField textField_1; public Frame(){ setTitle("Multifunctual Calculator");
I wrote a simple random spelling game for a class project, was never able to get the labels to update when they should. I have tried .updateUI, .paintImmediately followed by .revalidate and by .repaint. Nothing seems to be working.
What the game does is show a random word for about 10 seconds, disappear and they user is to spell that word, you have 3 tries then will start over. The "brains" of the game work just fine, it is the labels updating with new text when they should doesn't seem to be working. There is 4 classes but the below is the "Main" that has the problems. Also have a null exception problem with the timer.stop(); not sure why. I am still pretty new to java.
Public class SpellMe extends JFrame { // variables JPanel mainPanel, secondPanel, thirdPanel; JLabel mainLabel, wordLabel; String spWord, sp; JTextArea guess;
How to create text fields, labels and input boxes on a GUI, we haven't covered these in class as of yet, but I want my project to stand out so I'd like to know how to build a GUI now.
Write a program to request a student number and their marks in 4 subjects. The program must print the student number, total marks and average mark. All outputs should be printed with suitable labels
This is the error am getting
Scanner get = new Scanner (System.in) - got a red line
int student number, total marks, average mark - got a yellow bulb with a red exclamation mark on it.
I just dont understand where the errors is where what the system dont have ... I am using netbeans ....
Currently I try to integrate a JavaFX BarChart into my existing Java application. Therefore I need a BufferedImage of my BarChart, so that I can render that snapshot on a Graphics instance.
I adapted the existing BarChartSample.java (Chart Sample | JavaFX Tutorials and Documentation) and removed all animations. The code itselfs works fine but I identified one problem -> my TickLabels are missing
The TickLabels are visible If I use JDK 1.7u51 but if I change to JDK 1.8u05.... than the stlye of my BarChart will be changed and my tick labels are not visible.
How can i check the reference that is not duplicate and date format is DDDCCYYnnnnnnn, CC must be 20 and YY must not be less than the current year, nnnnnnn is the sequetial number of the file and to complete the 7 numeric characters, zero's must be populated in front of the number. DDD must be a valid reporting entity code. there must not be a duplicate. Code I try
I am using ActiveMq alongwith Spring in my project. I want my queue to be configured to reject the duplicate messages.I tried my level best to do so. I tried googling for the same. but could not get anything.
I am having some difficulty adding a new item to the HashTable when a collision occurs. We can only use the basic utilities to code this, so we are coding a HashTable by hand. We have an array of length of 10, which each index holds or will hold a Node for a Linked List.
The code hashes fine, adds the item, but the problem exists when adding items that already been hashed. The project is much bigger, but this is the engine behind the rest, and I figured I would tackle this first.
The items we are adding are objects which are states containing different information, we hash based on the ASCII sum % tableSize.
Here is the code I am testing with to add items:
HashTable ht = new HashTable(10); State az = new State("Arizona","AZ","W",2,"Y",2); State fl = new State("Florida", "FL", "F", 2, "X", 2); State hi = new State("Hawaii", "HI", "H", 3, "Z", 1); State al = new State("Alabama", "AL", "A", 5, "W", 0); ht.insert(hi);
I am making a WebCrawler, and I am trying to work out a way to stop duplicate links from getting put in however ArrayList.contains() doesnt seem to be working for me can someone look at my code and see if I am doing something wrong? I have also tried variations of it such as
!link.contains(newLink) and !link.contains(newLink.getLinkUrl())
I was trying remove duplicates element from my array without using collection API but i didn't got any output from my code.Although it is compiled successfully but on execution it didn't give any output. I guess there must be some problem in function Duplicate
Java Code:
class Union { public static void main(String...s) { Union M=new Union(); int x[]=new int[]{1,0,1,4,10,10,10,3,567,4,3,33}; int y[]=new int[]{5,4,5,4,5,4,2,3,3,1,0}; int []w=M.merge(x,y);
Is it possible to send a duplicate soup request?Basically, I have a situation where two almost identical requests can get sent but right now the response comes back as one response. I wanted visibility to the two responses and the one gets dropped off
I need to know how many four letter strings I can generate that begin with the letter "v". Now I had been testing many ways to do this but anm stuck. I can generate a single line up only a certain amount. I need it to continue till it reaches the max number. So since it needs to always start with V i eliminated the need for four and only a 3 letter string.
package javaapplication4; import java.util.Random; public class JavaApplication4 { /** * @param args the command line arguments */ public static void main(String[] args) { Random r = new Random(); int c = r.nextInt(26)+ (byte)'a';
Is there any way to add duplicate keywords (for all java keywords) maybe in a different language such that we can program java in a different language.
I am working on this project that wants me to write a program that inputs 20 numbers, each of which is between 10 and 100, inclusive. As each number is read, display it only if it is not a duplicate of a number already read. The only part I am confused about is how to go about checking for duplicate values that the user may enter. And IF the user does input a duplicate value, it should not be stored again.In addition, the value entered should be printed out after it is entered along side the value that have been previously entered by the user such as:
23 23 45 23 45 67 23 45 67 12 and so on.
I am still fairly new at java programming.
import java.util.*; public class NumberArray { public static void main(String[] args) { // declare an array with 5 elements
I have a practice program (written with NetBeans IDE 7.4) that calls methods to:
(1) fill an array with user input values
(2) sort the array values into ascending order
(3) print the array in assorted order.
(4) print the array without any duplicates
Method (4) prints the contents of the array without printing any duplicates. That is, if a number in the array has already been printed, it will not be printed again.
Method (4) seems to work, but may be inefficient or I may have done too much work making it difficult on myself or making the logic too confusing.
Is there a better way to do this WITHOUT using built-in functions in Java's library?
(Such as writing this method using for loops and counter variables: As practice I am supposed to avoid using Deleting functions for duplicates)
Here is my code:
public static void Duplicates(int [] array){ int duplicates = 1; String Output = ""; for(int i = 0; i < array.length -1; i++) { if (array[i] != array[i+1]){ duplicates ++;
