JSP :: JQuery To Update Table For Every 15 Secs - DB With More Than 20000 Records
Nov 17, 2014I have a need to refresh my database for every 15 seconds. I have to work with jsp ajax and jquery. For small amount of db entries it is ok but My application is going to handle huge records more than 20000. In my present scenario, Im forwarding request to another jsp page which communicate db and returns a table as result. Instead of this what are things I need to do?? This is just a sample application only. On success I am gonna implement using Spring, hibernate. So instead of table returning json or arraylist like that will work??

JSP :: Fetch Data From MySQL In JQuery Magnific Popup?
Jun 25, 2014I am developing my college's project in JSP using jquery to open a magnific popup when user clicks on a link and the in the magnific Popup must be fetched from Mysql and i tried two approaches for this:
1. magnific Popup type is ajax here i passed the variable value in the link of href (after '?') to another JSP page where connection to database is created and queries are written in JSTL to fetch data and show this in magnific Popup .. But i failed in this approach, don't know in another JSP page the data without having database connection is loaded in the magnific Popup easily but not database data..
2. magnific Popup type inline here i need to pass the variable value in the same page between different tags..
Unable To Retrieve Popup Data To Parent JSP - JQuery Not Working In IE8
Jan 22, 2014We created one web application which runs on tomcat 7.0.35 using spring mvc 3.0 . Its working perfectly on 32-bit windows machine in IE 8 on Windows 7 OS, when we tried to run this on 64-bit windows 2008 Server, jquery is not working. Also I populate data from Pop-up JSP to parent JSP, and it works 3/10 times only and does not work always.
We used the following jquery plugins in our project
jquery 1.8.3
jquery.ui.custom.1.9.2
jquery.ui.custom.min-1.9.

Nov 27, 2012Is there a way to inform the Entity Manager or force the JPA provider to reload data from the database? The scenario could be data being updated by a store procedure or direct SQLPlus maintenance, without restarting the Application Server, the JPA need to load the newly updated data from the database.
I think the current JPA API is not enough. The void refresh(java.lang.Object entity) from EntityManager need to pass in the Entity object, I will like to know how to refresh the entire JPA Entity data after the physical table data being update from backend.
Writing Data To A Static Table - Can't Populate All Fields With Data
Jun 24, 2015I have a program which consist of several classes. The program reads a pom file and parses the data and then writes the data to a static table. The issue I'm having is with writing my LIB file data to my table. In the HtmlDataTable Class Im trying to write the files that are read in the lib directory to the table. My table currently consist of 3 columns (missing jar files,Lib Directory files, and POM file data) currently Im only able to write the missing jar files data to my table. In the HtmlDataTable class there is a for statement where I write the missing jar file data to my table. Im also trying to write the contents of the Lib directory within this statement as well. This is where I'm having my issue. My other classes consist of a SAX parser which parses the xml file, a class that creates my static table and a class that compares the jar files in my lib directory to the jar files in my pom file. . Theres a lot of code so I included the parts I felt were useful. If needed I can include the other classes as well.

May 12, 2014I have a very simple HTML form with a textField for a name, and add button to add the name to a MySQL database, and a sort button to sort the names in the database and display them. I almost have it working, however when I hit the "sort" button; I get the message that appears after a user clicks the add button along with the sorted list of names. It looks like this:
Please go back and add a name or sort.

I want to get the user to be able to sort the data between a range of two years.
Example:
a user sets te filter so he/she can view all the data between the years 1990 and 2000.
I am a beginner in Java and don't know how to code such a filter.

I also have another table which should be populated when a user selects a certain row in the first table.Both table have only one column. The logic is when a user selects on row 1,the data in that row should be obtained and should be used to search for certain entities in the database which are returned and used to populate table 2.So after a user selects row1 and decides to select row2 the second table should be updated accordingly. First, I had to set the scrollHeight for the dataTable to 25% to get have the whole scrollable table contained in the dialog. Why 25%? What is that relative to?
Second, I had to use the !important declaration for the width and height of the dialog to get the sizing to take. Is that normal with PrimeFaces when styling using a CSS class?

I have a table inside an html/jsp page and when the user clicks a button I need to refresh the whole page with some additional text message.
Currently what I am doing is that I am using a java bean for the jsp page that contains a list of values inside the table then store it in session but I think there is a better way without storing it in session.
I tried using request.getParameter() but it only returns string.

JSF :: Data Table Displaying Same Item Multiple Times
Nov 25, 2014I currently have a datatable on the bookingList.xhtml which is supposed to list all bookings made, if first booking petName is spot it displays the booking details perfect but if another booking is made (for example one with petName fluffy) then it displays 2 lines with fluffys details and spots details are not displayed, it carries on that if a third booking is made then the 3rd bookings details are displayed 3 times and neither spot or fluffys booking details are displayed,

Swing/AWT/SWT :: Passing Data Through Globally Created Table Variable?
Jun 14, 2014I have created a DefaultTableModel tablel as a Global variable. The table is then created and attached to a Grid bag layout. Then I want to call the table again in another method to add rows of data into it. Hopefully that makes sense.
So the addrow for the table is located in the final method private class CalcButtonListener implements ActionListener
When I debug the code, deftablemodel variable is carrying NULL data.
Also to make things even more complicated, The actual headers for the table aren't showing up,... not entirely sure why though.
