Now it's working and from the main class i can controll the second class BUT. i want that is the main class that ask the user name, and i want pass that value to the second class. what code i must change?why eclipse wants me insert this import java.io.FileNotFoundException; and this throws FileNotFoundException for not give me an error?

But resource.returnString(r); gives a org.apache.jasper.JasperException: java.lang.NullPointerException I started the glassfish server in debug mode and found out that "resource" was null. but @PostConstruct in singleton does print which means singleton bean exists.

I will detailedly explain my requirement below,. I am going to automate a manual process. I will be reading multiple CSV files from a remote location using java.There are five formats of input files are expected, each differs in their header structure. The precondition is not all the files are expected for a particular run. I need to read these files one by one, validate it, log the validation error and i have to consolidate all the correct data from all the files together in a standard output format, in a single file The standard output format will be like,Number, Name, ID, Address

I have validated as per the validation rules and i appended each line elements into an object. I have added all the objects in to a MAP collection. Likewise, i have created 5 beans and did the same.But, what is the change needed now is,. All the headers in all the five types of rosters are configurable items. hence, i have to change my bean classes everytime when the header structures are changed.
We have to create one single utility, which is configurable for all the five types of input files. To be very clear, if type 1 input comes with 8 columns and type 3 comes with 12 columns, the utility is able to parse it.
We are going to have a table which has the data regarding the header structure of all the five types of inputs alone. Once i read a file and identify its type, i will hit the database and read the header structure of that particular type and its column count. I will match the column count with the input file's header count and i will have to proceed creating a bean class on runtime depending upon the header structure read now. I will validate and consolidate as i did above. The requirement is, Runtime configuration of bean class, depending upon the type of input.
Right so I have my ItemsPage Jframe Class and I'm trying to pass my TotalPrice variable to my CashPay so I can calculate the change. CashPrice runs and works but when I try run ItemsPage it does nothing I don't even get errors. in my progrm there are three diff array of objects...namely garments..gadgets and home app...now one who buys from each of these sections will have to make a bill at last...when he choses to make the bill he will be shown the list of products he bought and their details (like price...brand...etc)...so i thought that while he orders each product(which is done in a previous method called purchase()...)....(each product is stored as an object in there diif arrays namely garments...gadgets ...appliances)....each of those object will be copied in a new array in a diif class...then that array print will give me the desired result...
is this approach correct...?and if its correct then how can i pull out a specific obj frm a stored array of object and then save it in a new array....?
I have an stand alone client to use a remote ejb with some methods. All works fine, but when I pass an entity class as parameter from the stand alone client to the remote ejb, the entity class is received as null.
I have tried this example ([URL].../) with CarDao extending the BaseDao, it works like a charm.However, from the CarDao class, my NetBeans underlined the class name “CarDao” with the error message “A session bean must not extend another session bean.” But I can compile, deploy and run the application without any problem.
I have also heard that a session bean cannot extend another session bean, but why it works here?

I have a managed bean for a form. I map the fields filled in the form with managed bean properties. when I submit the form and click new form , values from the previous form submitted gets displayed in the input fields. I used the scope of the from bean to session. what should be its scope so that values should be destroyed after I submit the form .For every new form ,new bean has to be initialized. On submit I navigate to another bean with session scope.
When i create an application Bean how i can update it from another bean? Lets say application Bean has variable h=1 and i want to update from another bean and make it 2 how i can do it? And how i can access the value of a session bean from another bean?

I have a JSF bean which is request scope and corresponding JSF UI page. when user tries to open this page, we are getting exception 'Cannot instantiate user.java class <default constructor>'. This does not come always. It comes very rarely. JSF version is 1.2
I have a bean that represents data been collected from a form on a jsp page. Currently I would like to validate my fields and write some test cases for them. As you can see from my test case example I test a string in the hope that it fails because it contains only one letter. My problem is my unit test is passing. The reason this is from what I can tell is that at runtime it fails when I try to persist my object using my entity manager. During my unit test I just I don’t call my entity manager I just try and set the field.
What I thought would happen was that when I use my bean fields set method the annotations would be checked and fail at that point. Hence why I expected my unit test in this case to fail.
What I would like to know is
1.Are annotations specifically designed to validate when I persist my object and am I using them incorrectly at this point?
2.Is this the best method to use to validate fields, is there a better way, should I write my own code to validate for me when I set my value?
a. Should I throw an exception from the set method of each bean field?
