JSF :: Submit Based On JavaScript Function Called Via Onclick Attribute In Command Button
Feb 23, 2014
In a form i used <h:commandButton> i called a Javascript function. Though the function returns false , form is submitted and action method is called. I used like this
The problem is that after loading the dropdown, I am selecting values from them and clicking the button to submit the form. But it does not seem to work. I tried putting an alert inside the function call too alert("entered function"); but no good.
I have a problem with a JavaScript application on Safari 6 and 7. The application updates a smartcard on a website, through a JAVA applet using JavaScript requests.
There is no problem with other browsers. On Safari , randomly (1 smartcard's update on 10), the javascript completely freezes in the middle of an update (on a random card).
After 5 minutes exactly, the javascript resumes, and 2 behaviors happens : the update wether continues or stops completely.
We investigated a lot about this problem , at network and memory level. We use a lot of "setTimeOut" function (approximately 1100 times), and read that setTimeOut could cause problems with memory management on Safari.
I've a simple logic Code to increment a variable from javascript and Send it back to jsp. I just writing simple code to explain the logic. My code will have scritplets. I know usage of scriptlets is inside jsp is oldest but for the sake of logic.
<!--Jsp Page --> <% int i=0; <input type="button" onclick="fun()"/> %> <!-- Script as Follows--> <script> function fun(){ <%i++;5> } </script>
But My value of i is not incrementing its showing that function is undefined
i don't need ordinary javascript alert box. so i was use the jquery modal alert box for different action like success, error etc.but i have problem to call the alert box within servlet.
get updated bean property in javascript function. This function I am calling from <a4j: commandbutton> this button is having actionListner, which is updatin bean property based on some User selection. When this action is completed then I am calling javascript function in oncomplete. But that javascript function is not taking updated bean value, it is always taking first value.I can't use hidden text as there are some drop downs which User will selct and then hit commandbutton which will update bean property.
The class does get compiled but the submit button doesn't work?
/** * Orchestration class for Account */ import java.awt.*; //Importing the java.awt.* class import java.awt.event.*;//Importing the java.awt.event.* class import javax.swing.*;//Importing the javax.swing. class public class AccountDemo extends JFrame { /// initializes the variables in the container
I want to create a online examination system.i want to know to how to get questions 1 by 1 on the same jsp page and on clicking the submit button the result should be saved in database.
I have created a gui which accepts username in the text field and once clicking on submit button it fetches user details and throws it on gui via JTable.
But when i click submit for the second time using different username the background process goes well and good the vector that i pass to jtable changes with new data but the values in gui still contain the old data.
I have a button that bolds all the text in the main div. I am trying to get it to change back to the normal text after it has been bolded. But I cant figure it out. It bolds the text and changes button value when button value is "Bold", but when button value "UnBold" and user clicks button the text does not unbold. Here is my function.
function boldDiv() { var button = document.getElementById("firstbtn"); var oldHtml = document.getElementById('main').innerHTML;
The goal of this software is to provide a web interface which must be able to manage the Quagga routing daemon. For those who don't know Quagga, the only interface it provides the user is its built-in cli. My project must convert web events to commands and vice-versa. how I'm going to maintain quagga's configuration state synchronized with JSF's managed beans. The example below shows the commands one must run on quagga's cli in order to add a BGP neighbor:
In order to represent this piece of information in my project, I was thinking about mapping this to a class:
public class BGPNeighbor { private String ip_address; private Integer asn; private Boolean next_hop_self; private Boolean inbound_soft_reconfiguration; }
With this I would parse the information from Quagga's configuration and map this to classes in my software. I think it's a lot easier to do with database-based software, the problem with this project is that it's not completely database oriented. The information must be fetched from the network, parsed, converted to classes and then they would be available to JSF as managed beans. Any alteration to this classes must be converted to quagga cli commands which must be executed through the network again (telnet).
I have been working on this function and i can't get it to work. It's a little bit complicated so let me first explain what this is about:
1. As a little exam in my studies i have to program a halma console game with KI an stuff.
2. Everything is finished and works except for the Move-Calculation.
3. A Move is a Move from Field a to Field b which a player can perform in one round based on the game rules (Careful: We are not using the standard halma rules, we use different ones).
4. Class Move consists of the Starting Cell where the Figure before the Move stands and a target Cell where the figure will stay on at the Move end. It may include an Array of serveral Cells, the stop cells which the figure passes from start -> target since several jumps can be performed in one Move.
Valid Examples for Moves:
a -> b (From Field a to Field b) d -> f through g,h,i (From Field d to Field f through the Field g,h,i
My Move Calculation where all possible Moves are calculated for a given figure consists of 2 parts. An expand() function which will generate all possible moves (works perfectly) and a jumpFix() function which isn't working properly.
Example:
After expand() I'm getting something like that:
a -> b b -> c c -> d s -> t
This is however not finished, because the first 3 Moves are actually 1 Move. Because the player can Move from a -> d in one turn because those 3 are consecutive Move. The fixed Move would look like that:
a -> d through b,c
jumpFix() is also perfectly working for that situation, however there is one specific situation when it doesn't work. Let's say we have this situation.
a -> b b -> c c -> d b -> e e -> f f -> g s -> t
Then the only valid jumpFix() output would be:
a -> d through b,c a -> g through b,e,f s -> t
However i can not get it to work yet. Note: It definitely needs to be iterative, not rekursive else i would get an StackoverflowError.
This is my current Code of jumpFix():
Java Code:
/** * Takes a look into all calculated moves and finds those which should be seen as one move, but are still considered to be more than one move (several jumps in one move) */
public static List<Move> jumpFix(List<Move> moves) { Set<Move> result = new HashSet<Move>(); Set<Move> remove = new HashSet<Move>(); int lastSize = -1; // repeat action until no moves could be merged while (lastSize != remove.size()) {
[Code] ....
How to implement the special case where a Move splits into 2 or more branches and jumpFix() able to handle this case.
<p:commandButton> of primefaces is not working but that same code working with <h:commandButton>Login bean is present with all valid getter and setter with loginAction
I am using Java Swing to create a GUI. I have some radio buttons on a JFrame that gets opened when the user makes a certain selection. I want to read a config file to have the radio buttons selected or deselected when the form is opened to indicate the current state of the radio button based on the saved config file.
How do I go about setting the radio button as selected (visibly selected) when I open up the JFrame?
I was trying to use RadioButton.setSelected(True); but this doesn't actually visibly select the radio button.
I'd like to disable/enable SelectManyCheckbox and the SelectOneMenu based on my selection. I have two radio buttons to be selected whether A or B. The SelectManyCheckbox and the SelectOneMenu should be disabled at the first run. When the user selects “A” the SelectManyCheckbox and the SelectOneMenu should be enabled and if the users selects “B”, the SelectManyCheckbox and the SelectOneMenu should be disabled and the items should be empty. I tried to use <f:ajax render="certificates"/>, but it doesn't work properly.
What would be the simplest way of creating a Dialog that can add TextField dynamically based on whether a radio button option from the dialog box is selected. I thought of JOptionPane.showMessageDialog and adding a JComponent though I would not be able to add a TextField on the fly and I would not be able to add ActionListeners. The dialog would initially contain some radio buttons, labels and textfields.
i am trying to write a coin program:Write a class called Coin which will be used by a program called CountFlips.
1. The class, is an object created from this program. It is composed of data values and methods. It should contain a main method and should output the number of flips done (an integer that will be read from the user), the number of heads and tails that occur.
2. The CountFlip class will flip a coin multiple times and counts the number of ‘heads’ and ‘tails’ that result. This class should have a method called flip() of type void; a method called isHead() of type Boolean and a toString() method that will return the current face of the coin as a string.
So i created 2 classes, one called Coin.java & the other CountFlips.java,
PHP Code: package test; public class Coin { private final int heads = 0; private final int tails = 1; private int facetype; private int flips;
I am trying to execute a program from the command prompt. I type java -jar zuul.jar (zuul is the name of my project) and I get a message that java is not recognized as an internal or external command. What do I do wrong?
