JSP :: Dynamic Table - Call List To Show The Results
May 7, 2014
Well, I have a list inside of a java class then i want to call that list into the jsp to show the results. That list has results from a query, everything is ok in java class because it shows me just one result in jsp, i read that it can be do with a for or enhanced for but been honest i have try everything and nothing work.
I receive a java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: ""DepDelayMinutes"" error when trying to filter a list and then assign the results to a new list.
I have edited the code so it is an int that throws the exception so it isn't the presence of a string that is causing the error - java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: ""0914"" .
I believe the issue is because of the two sets of double quotes but I do not understand how they came about. The original dataset does not have any quotes whatsoever.
What i have done till now is i make a table in html explicitly (by assigning fixed rows and columns) . Now what i want is to show a table of whose number of rows and columns are generated dynamically according to the table in the database.
I'm trying to implement an Office class that contains an inner class: WorkerNode. The WorkerNode class has a name attribute (String) and WorkerNode attributes for boss, peer and subordinate. The attributes of Office are manager and current which are WorkerNode references. The manager refers to the entry point of the structure and current is the current node in the structure. For simplicity, i'm going to try to limit it to 3 levels and assume that the names are unique. I've put together a Office class that containing main and provided the code I've worked on so far.
public class Office { public static void main(String[] args) { String name=Input.getString("input the manager's name: "); Office office=new Office(name); int option;
Displaying the records in a table. I am looking for a group header to be placed above each printed table for its related category and subcategory, as well as, the no. of the records for each table to be shown at the top of the table.
The table contains columns for category, subcategory, name. ex:
Category Subcategory Name
CON Retail AAA
CON Wholesale BBB
SPEC Retail CCC
What I am looking for is the below layout:
Category/Subcategory (No. of records) –similar to a group header
Name – Country ..etc ----Table header
table records
Here is my code below:
<% //Retrieve the values from the DB while (rs.next()) { category_name1=rs.getString("category_name"); subcategory_name1=rs.getString("subcategory_name");
[code]....
The problem in the above code is that it is showing the group headers category & sub category multiple times and the count is incorrect.
I have a lot of records in excel around 2000 rows and it can be more so what I am looking for is that I need to show this records in the web for front end user. I want to feel the user that it is the same as excel but web based so he can filter rows , highlight rows or columns and export whatever filtered by him . I have one sample photo for that program ( called IPCS ) , I am using it now but I need to make same like that in JSP or anything using java I can do it.
I need to evaluate a query by joining these 2 tables and then update the results in the 3rd table in another database. I need to use stateless session bean using JPA I believe. I need 3 Entities for each of the tables here.
I am a newbie in java prgmming using netbeans IDE . I have a code Java Code:
List<String> files = service.getSecureCloudStoragePort().listFiles(); SelectFileDialog dialog = new SelectFileDialog(this.getFrame(),true,files); mh_sh_highlight_all('java');
My files value get as :
[1_car.txt@2, 5_Van.txt@6]
The 2 and 6 refers user id ... I need to show only particular user with his own id.
So need to filter the files value with that id (after @ in raw data) .. How it can do ? any method to filter the data . That data format could not be changed in any way...
I'm doing a program where a user enters in exam results for students. Once he's entered the code, the code should split the results in stars in 4 categories.
I am working with a while loop that prints out infinite results. What I want to do is, if the user enters 2 digits, say "12", it should output 1 "*".
If the user enters "21" and "22", it should output "**".
There are 4 categories of marks which are marked with ints range1, range2, range3 and range4, which are user enter digits. Part 1 of the code is to split the user entered digits into its correct ranges. the ranges are 0-29, 30-39, 40-69 and 70-100. I've done the part where when the user enters a digit, it goes into the correct variable. After that when the user enters a digit over 100, the enter results should show up as stars. For example
Enter number =
21 22 44 66 44 23 11 111 (the 111 is where the program breaks and moves on)
So it should then display
0-29 ****
30-39
40-69 ***
70-100
Whatever I'm trying, it displays an infinite amount of stars. If I try to use break, It only outputs a single star, no matter how many digits I enter
Here is the code
int mark = 0; int range1 = 0, range2 = 0, range3 = 0, range4 = 0; int count1 = 0, count2 = 0, count3 = 0, count4 = 0; while (mark >=0 && mark <=100) {
[Code] .....
"The problem is with the while loop, the one above is something I was experimenting with "
Is it possible to get the list/ values in html/jsp from servlet?
I have a table inside an html/jsp page and when the user clicks a button I need to refresh the whole page with some additional text message.
Currently what I am doing is that I am using a java bean for the jsp page that contains a list of values inside the table then store it in session but I think there is a better way without storing it in session.
I tried using request.getParameter() but it only returns string.
Basically I am supposed to build a symbol table for storing identifiers (an array) and then link the number line that identifier is stored on. I set the array to null and if the identifier is found then I link in a line number node. If it isn't found then I add a new identifier and line number.
My problem is that we are supposed prompt for the line number and identifier in the main class, but I don't know how to "connect" the classes per say so I can do the add method in the SymbolTable class.
import java.util.*; public class Assignment { public static void main(String[] args) { Scanner console = new Scanner(System.in); SymbolTable table = new SymbolTable(); boolean quit = false;
Release 8u40 introduces the TextFormatter concept in the text input field area. It is currently a new property of the TextInputControl class. This is definitely a more elegant way to deal with validation than overriding "replaceText(...)".
Shouldn't this property also be available in list, table and tree cells? Are there plans to do this (before we make our own implementation) ?
class A { List<StringBuilder> list; public void output(List<StringBuilder> objectToOutput){ try(BufferedWriter bw = new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter("temp.txt"))){ for(StringBuilder row:objectToOutput) bw.write(row.toString()); }catch(IOException e){}
[code]....
Why don't the a's show up on the console? I put them in as part of the debugging process and now I don't understand why they don't show up in both places.
I need to process one component drag to the table. I misunderstand, how I can see to which Cell fall the component. I tried to use Event and Mouse event handlers in my custom Cell, but they do not work. I can copy the drag event to the table and table handles it, but how to get needed Cell I cant understand.
This is my codes in a button that if I click it . that information will send to Jtable but the problem is the jtable is in another frame so how can i connect this ?
DefaultTableModel model = (DefaultTableModel) new admin().tableBagtags.getModel(); if (txtName.getText().equals("")) { JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, "Please fill out all fields.", "Error!", JOptionPane.ERROR_MESSAGE);
How do i make the 'date' column show only the date and 'timeIn' and 'timeOut' column only show the time. In my database table my 'date' column is a date type and 'timeIn' and 'timeOut' column is time.
i am trying to run a command in terminal the code is below if i run the command in terminal it works fine however when i run it from netbeans with code below nothing gets printed. however if i run a different command such as (ip addr) it works fine?
public static void a() throws IOException{ ArrayList lister=new ArrayList(); Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime(); Process proc = rt.exec("ps -ef | grep firefox");// the command i am trying to run to get pid of application InputStream stderr = proc.getInputStream();
I need to print certain information from an arraylist depending on the arguments the method has. I'm trying to print the last 3 methods from the database class but nothing is printing and I don't know what the problem is.
package hw3; import java.util.*; public class Driver { public static void main(String[] args){ /* Comments required PersonFileReader pfr = new PersonFileReader("person.dat"); ArrayList<Person> testData = pfr.readData(); Database db = new Database(testData); */
[Code] .....
On the driver class I just print what the methods from the database class do.
I develop a little app in javaee6 and jsf2. I have a search page which has a search form with 2 fields and a search button when i click search button the results should be displayed in searchresults page.
Issue: searchresults page is is not displaying records though it fetched records from table I'm able to achieve this using search bean as session scope but i want to use the scope as Requestscope.
how to display results in a PLAIN_MESSAGE. My program is converting hex to decimal and displaying the results. Here's the code:
package pkgfinal; import javax.swing.JOptionPane; import java.util.Scanner; public class Final { public static int Convert(String userInput, int base){ int running_sum = 0;
I have the code here to populate a GUI. I have the math and then print out and return a single number. I have tried to use setText in the class CalculateButtonHandler.
import javax.swing.*; import java.awt.*; import java.awt.event.*; public class RectangleProgram extends JFrame { private JLabel lengthL, widthL, areaL, perimeterL, averageL;
