The selectedCertificates will have the values ("AA","BB"). Now I will be passing the list into a hashmap in order to get the names and to display them on the jsf page.
My code is below:

CertificatesNames.put("AA", "Certificate A");
CertificatesNames.put("BB", "Certificate B");

Now my issue is that is how to display all the values of the CertificatesNames.get(key1) in the jsf page as I tried to do the below and it printed all the values when I used the #{mybean.beans} using the :

new ArrayList(CertificatesNames.values());
So how to do this?

I would like to know how to display the values of selected checkboxes on the JSF page after submitting the form? I tried outputtext, however it displays the object and not the values. I cannot even frame the outputformat for the same.

Feb 6, 2013we had a requirement to display a combobox which is filled with some values on the webpage when somebody checks the checkbox which is present on the webpage.
The approach we have taken is ajax. how we did this is, when somebody checks the checkbox on the webpage we are initiating the ajax call requesting a servlet. this servlet pulls the data from the database, places the data in the request and forwards the request to a jsp. In that jsp i am writing simple html combobox and populating the values in the combobox from the request using JSTL and this jsp will be sent as response to ajax call. The ajax gets the html as responce which contains a combobox and i am just placing that html ( the complete response) in a div which is next to checkbox.
In this approach there is lot of pain. if i have to display 10 html components dynamically based on some condition then i have to have 10 jsp's one for each component. I always feel this is a wrong way of doing things. what is the best approach to deal with the dynamic stuff on webpages.

The problem I'm having is that after opening a file that I saved, it does not display (if I disable text/html, it displays the entire html code, but when I re-enable it, nothing displays at all.) Am I loading it wrong, or am I setting the JTextPane's text incorrectly? Or is it, perhaps, another error that I didn't catch?

JSF :: Getting Null Values From XHTML Page To Java Code
Nov 13, 2014My project consists of a web app where a user can select a area from a picture and f.e. if it is a office layout he can input the worker name and any peace of hardware that the area might have. In this case there are two categories: Hardware and Computer. Hardware - it has 5 dropdown lists consisting of printer, scanner and etc. Computer - like Hardware consists of many dropdown lists which add up to components such as processor, motherboard and etc. For me, considering this is my first ever web app project, is a huge step towards web development, I have used various mixes of Java, javascript and primefaces code.
My current problem: When a user selects an area he gets a dialog box where he is prompted to select his desired input, afterwards the user clicks the 'save' button and get's another dialogbox which has a resume of what he has selected so he could check out his input and save it by clicking the 'save' button in the resume box. My problem is that when the user clicks the save button the button calls a method which takes all the input and creates an Area object (Area object consists of various objects such as: Coordinates, Dimensions, Employee, ComputerList and HardwareList) and sends a query to the database, but all the values I get is null.

My main idea in creating JSP to display data from one or more tables.
I created 2 pages called Serverpage.jsp and Messagecount.jsp and it is working fine as expected,
Now i want to create home page and it should also have left navigation menu and it should contain MessageCount and MessageStatus.
When i click on Messagecount or MessageStatus my home page should refresh and have to display new JSP page (MessageCount.jsp or Serverpage.jsp)
