How to get a double data type in order to display in the view through a servlet:

request.getDoubleParameter("imprevistos));?
I've been searching but I have not found the appropriate answer.
I am creating a small application.I have a jsp font page.i have a jdbc connection code.I have a sample table in my database.i want to retrieve datas from the database and display them in the view page.
My questions are:
-Where do i have to write jdbc code?
-How can i display the retrieved data in the display page?
I was struggling to use BufferedReader to extract some data and then perform some calculations and then have the results as outputs.
I haven't quite solved that issue but in order to progress, I hard coded some values into my application and proceeded with the actual calculation loops etc.
Currently, the value out put from one of my calculations is given as:
1.1704926E7
How can I make the console show it in a natural way. I've performed the calculation manually and it should be 11704926.5 I don't want to lose that .5!

Why is the code not working the way I expected, I think it has something to do with any property of double but I am not sure.

why we cannot use primitive data type like int,double.
I have created an enumerated data type that represents months. In my program I have asked the user for the month. I hold the month entered by user into a string variable. From that string variable I'm trying to display the month using my enumerated data type. I know I can use if statements, but is there another simple way to do it?

I am building a room management system in Java (Netbeans) and Ms Access. The jasper report is only showing code (source view) instead of design view. The GUI JFrame and Login JFrame are not displaying records in the database and the buttons are not working. Also the labels and text fields are not neatly arranged. I've just been having a go at an exercise where I have to create and use a class called Point, with two fields of type double. I have to create some methods for it, one of which is a distanceTo(Point) method, that calculates the distance to another point. I've tried to keep the distanceTo(Point) method short so have created some other methods to use within the method. My question is about the getDistance() method that I've made. As you can see below, I've given it two parameters, which are references to values within two Point objects (this.x and otherPoint.x).

Create a class that allows the user to select a file and output the contents of the file to the console. Recommend using a text file to display, java files are text files. You may want to put this code in a method to allow you to complete the remainder of this assignment without overwriting your code.
- You should ask the user to enter the full path to your file to make certain you are processing the correct file.
- Modify your code/add a method to display the contents of the file in reverse order. You do not need to reverse the characters on each line but simply output the lines of the file in reverse order.

I created a jsf page inside my ADF project. Inside I have a button and a text field. If i press button my servlet is activated. It returns a jasper report in pdf format. Now I would like to display my text field value as a jasper report parameter. So this is a part I don't know how to do. How do I get a value of my text field inside servlet?
