I am trying to create a file browse option in my jsp and later after browsing, all i want to do is to read that file in my jsp without saving it into that database so that i can perform encryption for it and save that encrypted file later into my database. please provide reference link so that i can refer to some applications and and move ahead with my work.

I can read and write all the data back out to files. But I am not sure about a few things.
First would it be best to use BufferedReader and OutputStream such as:

Second, I was then going to initialize an array but I might have 30 or more columns of data, of which I might perform and output only 10 columns to my output.txt file so is this a good way?
Third, I only want to perform operations (such as average the data, convert units or multiply two columns together) on 10 of the 30 plus columns and print out results to output.txt file. For example, In testdata.txt file above, I want to skip first seven columns. I then want to take column 8 and multiply by 100 then divide by 3 and output result to output file. I want to do same for column 9. Column 10 I want to multiply by different number (by 3.5).
I have a program that encrypts and decrypts using the AES algorithm, but I have to specify the name of the encrypted file, and also specify the format of the original file as part of the name of the encrypted file. I will like to know how how to implement the following features into my code : 1.)I want the name of the encrypted file to be in cipherText 2.) i want the computer to be able to decide the file type(extension eg.txt) without me having to specify it, for example in my code if I am encrypting a .jpg file, I have to specify the name of the encrypted file as encrypt.jpg

However, I'm not even sure how to get it to perform the operations from the text file. I know that it can read the file as I was able to get the program to print the text found in the file when I ran the program with a test print to make sure that all content was being read. However, I am clueless when it comes to how to get the program to look at the text as commands.
Here is the piece of code that I am not sure where to go from as far as telling the program to read the text and perform the tasks listed.

I am working on a project that requires me to build a database with random access file, representing products, the base product contains a name (about 30 characters), a price (double), and a quantity (integer). I have worked on this project for probably 15+ hours and have tried so many things and feel like I've barley made any progress...
The part i am really struggling with is taking the data from the text file and creating an object array with it using the product class. Once ive accomplished that, i have to use that data to create a random access file with the data.
Here is the base Product class that must be used to create the objects for the array.

Well my code is supposed to ask for an input file and then (ex: input.txt), read the input file and create an output.txt file with the anagram for the words in the file. Also it should be displayed on the screen. However my code doesn't display the anagram on screen or the output file!

I am trying to read a file and input each line of the file into an array. I have not set the array size as I was hoping to fill the array using a while loop. Unfortunately the scope of the array does to work inside the while loop so I am being told that the array 'students' has not been initialised even though it has just outside of the while loop. Is it possible to do what I am trying to without having the array initialised in the while loop as surely the array will be reset every time if it was in the while loop? Here is my code:

I have an application and I would like it to send a file to a web page using POST method.
I've found the HttpClient from Apache, but I had no luck. All the tutorials and samples I can find on the net are for 3.x. I've tried adopting the samples with the HttpClient 4.1 docs, but I failed.
I have a target url of a page and source file path. I get the basic idea of what needs to happen, I am just finding it hard to implement it.
I am writing a program that needs to read from a file, but I can't even get it to open. I have tried saving the .txt file 2 different ways. First, I saved the file to my src/package folder. Then I tried just the src folder. Then I tried going through Import/general/filesystem/ and selecting the root directory. However, my program is still unable to open the file.

I have a JSF page (called MainPage) with a commandButton: clicking on it, I open a modal panel with a <Rich:fileUpload> component, related to a listener in corresponding bean.
When I start to upload a file, page MainPage starts to refresh, but I would like to prevent this because it's not necessary.
I tried to "play" with <Rich:fileUpload> property values, but nothing seems to work and I don't know what to do anymore.

You must use TextIO methods to read the file. As you read the file, count the total number of ice cream cones that were sold. (This is the same as the number of lines that you read from the file.) Also count the total number of "Strawberry" cones that were sold.
At the end of the program, print out the total number of cones, the number of Strawberry cones, and the percentage of cones that were Strawberry.To do this program, you have to know when to stop reading from the file. TextIO has a function named TextIO.eof() to check whether the entire file has been read. The value of this function is true if the entire file has been read. The value is false if there is more data in the file. You want to continue reading from the file as long as TextIO.eof() is false.
Note: Suppose that flavor is a variable of type String and you want to test whether its value is "Strawberry". To do this, test whether flavor.equals("Strawberry"). (Do not use == to test for equality of Strings.)
