Nov 27, 2012Is there a way to inform the Entity Manager or force the JPA provider to reload data from the database? The scenario could be data being updated by a store procedure or direct SQLPlus maintenance, without restarting the Application Server, the JPA need to load the newly updated data from the database.
I think the current JPA API is not enough. The void refresh(java.lang.Object entity) from EntityManager need to pass in the Entity object, I will like to know how to refresh the entire JPA Entity data after the physical table data being update from backend.
Trying To Get Data From Previous Assignment To Be Displayed In New One Using GUI
Apr 26, 2014I am trying to get items to display that would display in a command prompt now into a GUI. I am freaking lost at the moment, probably because I've been staring at this code for over a week now. I have included all the files that are necessary to run the program as an attachment for your own testing purposes. Should I be using a TextField to display the data from the CSV files? How do I get the data to be displayed? How would I get it to be displayed based on the different files Staples (newSTPL.csv), Apple (newAPPL.csv), and Microsoft (newMSFT.csv)?

JSP :: How To Delete And Insert Data Into Two Different Tables
Jun 2, 2014I am creating a portal using JSP and MySQL with eclipse IDE. I have a scenario where data is stored on draft table and is retrieved then stored on another table. I need the entry in the draft table to be deleted after the insertion. When I tried to run the code it redirects to success page but makes no impact on database(neither inserts not gets deleted).

Dec 17, 2014I have a project in java that asks me to load some information from previous object files and add new objects to them afterwards. I created the files, but when I close the program and search for the previous information that should've been saved in the object file , it return nothing.

May 19, 2014I am having trouble with a mouse click method. In short I have a hexagon grid, and every time I want to click on one particular hexagon I want the color of the hexagon to change to blue(by default the color is grey). This part works, but when I go to click on another hexagon I want the color of the previous hexagon to change back to grey while at the same time changing the color of the current hexagon clicked to blue. So in other words, I only want one hexagon blue at a time. How might I do this?
I have a hexagon class for one particular hexagon, and a hexmap class for multiple hexagons. I know I should probably be handling mouse clicks in the hexmap since it deals with the whole thing. But I cannot say something like hexagon.setColor within a mouselistener in that class(it gives me a lot of issues). Here is some of my code :

Jun 7, 2014I'm developing a Swing application for the first time. To test my application, I have currently hardcoded some text labels and fields in a JPanel, so that a user can enter input details for a maximum of 3 segments. But this limits the maximum number of segments to 3. However, the requirement is that when the user enters the number of segments (could be greater than 3 as well), corresponding number of input sets need to be taken.

Basically I want to know how I should go about taking the inputs from the user.

It recieves two connection requests at time t1 and t1+200ns. Since server is busy handling request 1 at time t1+200ns. what will happen to request 2.if yes what is the max size of that buffer?Maximum number of request that a server process per unit time depends on the java code.Is there also a limit to how many request a server can recieve per unit time?

How To Refresh Page
Feb 27, 2015I have 3 issues -
1-I'd to be able to refresh my page. currently I've set it so it doesn't refresh so I can draw but I want to introduce timed refreshment for example after 30 seconds of drawing the page goes blank and starts again.
2- I'd like to introduce a maximum amount you can draw per each refreshment. E.g the page reloads every 30 seconds and each 30 seconds you have 100 ellipses you can draw, when it refreshes you have a new 100 ellipses

Tried to use remove(textLog); textLog.validate(); etc(remove, validate, revalidate, add, repaint), because it works fine with JButtons, but still, in textLog variable gives me old value.
like "you should use somethingvalidate(); while clickin button and it will works", not some shit for 3032 lines with 99% of code that I don't need to do what I want.
JSF :: How To Force Refresh Screen
Oct 9, 2014in my JSF2 app I have screens composed with :
- Header
- Body
In the header I have a combo list. At each change in value in the combo list I have an Ajax request that updates the data in the Body. So far everything is working properly. Now the home screen's structure should be change when the value of combo list change. To do this I have :
- 1 ManagedBean HomeBean that manage the home
- 1 ManagedBean HeaderBean that manage the header
- 2 object HomeScreen1.java and HomeScreen2.java that allows me to valued data from each screen
- 2 services HomeScreen1Loader.java and HomeScreen2Loader.java that manage loading of each type of screen
- 1 template home.xhtml
- 2 fichier home1.xhtml et home2.xhtml
When I log in to the application, I get the good page corresponding (Element type 1 => home page 1). But when I select a type 2 item, the actionListener methode is execute, ManagedBean's data was updated (for type 2 screen) , but the page does not updated. What do you do ?

JSP :: Cannot Get Correct Path On Refresh
Feb 10, 2014I want to use the bit of code below to re-write the page to tell the user of a successful registration and then redirect them to another page. My problem is that I can't figure out how to get the path right for the login page. As can see, my first choice was to have the use click to the login page and when I use href it works fine.
I tried to use the entire file page starting at C and that didn't work. I also tried
${pageContext.request.contextPath}/Login
which is what I had to do for the action in the form for the login servlet page.
My question is what is the URL I need to use. By the way, if I jut put in google's URL, or any other for that matter, it works fine.
