JSP :: How To Persist User Previous Selection Of Radio Button
Sep 28, 2014
I am making a quiz app and stuck with this problem. User is presented with question with options he select one radio button and move on to next question by clicking next button.
Now when user clicks on the previous button to change the previous selction , I want his previous selection to be shown selected. How can I do that.
I have a ComboBox I'm using for a cellEditor. The list of items in the comboBox might have colors behind them, which I've managed to render. What I haven't figured out is a good way to keep the color in the cell after the item is selected.I don't' want to have a persistent comboBox in the cell, i only want to see it when editing that cell.
public TableCellEditor getCellEditor(int row, int col) { if (row==theRow && col==theCol) { JComboBox<?> combo = new JComboBox<Object>(getPickListEntries()); combo.setRenderer(new PickListRenderer(combo)); combo.setBorder(BorderFactory.createEmptyBorder()); }
I have gotten the code up and running, now I am trying to add a previous button. The next button I have now works fine but I can't seem to get the previous button to work.
The above code works great and displays date picker with next and previous button but when I use same code on a jsp page the buttons to go back to previous and next month does not show up.
I'm working on a GUI application, I'm building it based on an example of a image provided and I am having an issue with my radio boxes, well the easiest way to explain will be if you look at the too attached images , the example im working from has the radio-boxes transparent they are the same color as the background image, my radio boxes seem to sit ontop of the background image with their default grey border, How can i make my radioboxes blend into the background like in the given example?
Im using Netbeans GUI toolkip to build this app, for the background image in the jpanel i just created a label and set the icon to the image i wanted.
I have been trying to get my radio buttons to display text when they are selected in a textbox but for some reason no matter what i try it wont display. Here is my code i have removed my attempt to get the action listener working.
package listVsSet.Desktop.copy; import java.awt.BorderLayout; public class ListVsSetGui extends JFrame { private JPanel contentPane; private JMenuBar menuBar; private JMenuItem mntnListVsSet;
I am writing code for a form in which i want to display data by selecting radiobutton.The code is working for single radiobutton but it not work when i select the other radiobutton.
Capture.PNG1.jpg
the code is given below:]
private void jRadioButton1ActionPerformed(java.awt.event.Action Event evt) { // TODO add your handling code here: int LIMIT = Integer.parseInt(jTextField2.getText()); int ULIMIT = Integer.parseInt(jTextField3.getText()); { DefaultTableModel model = (DefaultTableModel) jTable1.getModel();
I have jFrame where I have to display data from database on button click. There are 4 buttons, first to display the first record in database, last to display the last record in database, next to display the next record and previous to display the previous record. I have done first and last record but what should I do to display the next and previous record.
I am using Java Swing to create a GUI. I have some radio buttons on a JFrame that gets opened when the user makes a certain selection. I want to read a config file to have the radio buttons selected or deselected when the form is opened to indicate the current state of the radio button based on the saved config file.
How do I go about setting the radio button as selected (visibly selected) when I open up the JFrame?
I was trying to use RadioButton.setSelected(True); but this doesn't actually visibly select the radio button.
How do you make it so that you can select 2 buttons in a radio button group? for example: If I have 7 radio buttons, and I want to be able to select 2 of the 7 instead of 1.
I'm trying to make it to where each button is supposed to display the country's flag and a description. As of right now, I've hit a roadblock and haven't been able to get past it. As of right now, without the errors in the setDisplay method where setTitle and the other two are undefined for that type, I get each country's name listed as a radio button.
However, I haven't been able to get anything else to display.
import java.awt.*; import java.awt.event.*; import javax.swing.*; public class Flags extends JFrame{ private String[] flagTitles= {"Canada", "China", "Denmark", "France", "Germany", "India", "Norway", "United Kingdom", "United States of America"}; private ImageIcon[] flagImage= {
I'd like to disable/enable SelectManyCheckbox and the SelectOneMenu based on my selection. I have two radio buttons to be selected whether A or B. The SelectManyCheckbox and the SelectOneMenu should be disabled at the first run. When the user selects “A” the SelectManyCheckbox and the SelectOneMenu should be enabled and if the users selects “B”, the SelectManyCheckbox and the SelectOneMenu should be disabled and the items should be empty. I tried to use <f:ajax render="certificates"/>, but it doesn't work properly.
What would be the simplest way of creating a Dialog that can add TextField dynamically based on whether a radio button option from the dialog box is selected. I thought of JOptionPane.showMessageDialog and adding a JComponent though I would not be able to add a TextField on the fly and I would not be able to add ActionListeners. The dialog would initially contain some radio buttons, labels and textfields.
I'm developing a Swing application for the first time. To test my application, I have currently hardcoded some text labels and fields in a JPanel, so that a user can enter input details for a maximum of 3 segments. But this limits the maximum number of segments to 3. However, the requirement is that when the user enters the number of segments (could be greater than 3 as well), corresponding number of input sets need to be taken.
Screenshot attached, with values entered.
Basically I want to know how I should go about taking the inputs from the user.
I have a basic HTML calculator that asks the user to input 2 integers and select from a dropdown their desired math operation:
The servlet will process the calculation and counts how many times a certain operation has been used:
The counter for Multiplication has incremented accordingly.
HTML: <form action = "processcalc.html" method = "post"> <table> <tr> <td>First Operand:</td> <td><input type = "text" name = "firstOperand" required></td>
[Code] ....
Question: However, when I press "Go Back" and process a new computation, all counters reset to 0. Is there a way without using HttpSession to persist the counter values? (It has not been taught to us, so we are not allowed to use it yet.)
For example, going back and having below input... First Operand: 4 Operator: + Second Operand: 5
...will result to... Addition: 1 Subtraction: 0 Multiplication: 1 (counter from previous computation maintained) Division: 0
I'm using EclipseLink, WildFly, EJB, postgresSQL and JSF.I'm trying to persist some countries and their localities.So I've:
- Two entities Countries and Localities in which I specify respective columns and relations. - Abstract Session beans for entity classes: AbstractFacade providing basic crud methods and entity manager. - Two concrete session bean for entity classes: CountriesFacade and LocalitiesFacade. - A JSF managed bean named geoJSF. - A JSF page with a form allowing to insert new country and localities.
In geoJSF I'm injecting via EJB CountriesFacade as property named cf and LocalitiesFacade as property named lf.For the actual inserting country and locality I'm using geoJSF.country and geoJSF.locality. When the form is submitted I'm simply doing:
this.cf.create(this.country); this.locality.setCountry(this.country); //<- this throw an exception (unique constraint violation) due to the attempt to reinsert this.country this.lf.create(this.locality);
I disabled all cascade among relations definitions.Based on what I know this.country should appear detached to entity manager so, setting relation the entity manager try to re-persist it.
i get this error when trying to Persist a customer Entity in my web application using netbeans with the default glassfish server persistence provider eclipselink(JPA2.0)
error is
SEVERE: javax.validation.ConstraintViolationException: Bean Validation constraint(s) violated while executing Automatic Bean Validation on callback event:'prePersist'. Please refer to embedded ConstraintViolations for details.
the table that i want to write to has the following colums id ==> primarykey auto increment not null int name == varchar(45) not null phone ==> varchar(19) nationalIdNo ==>varchar(19) balance ==> bigdecimal(6,2) not null default(0.00)
