The main method will drive your program by doing the following:
-Create an array to hold all the individual golfers and par scores (type is Golfer[ ]).
-Prompt the user for a data file containing the Par scores and the player names and score. The format of the input file should look like

So I am trying to open a file and store the contents into a two dimensional array. I seem to have no problem using this same basic code to read the file and output it. But when I try to change it so that all the data is stored into the array, it does not work.

I'm trying to read a xml file and delete it's contents. I do this by reading the file,writing it to a temp and then overwriting the original with the temp by renaming it

It does say the value of the local variable is not used however. I've debugged to ensure it hits the code it always prints out the line after too.It just does not overwrite my original xml file with the temp one.
It's had votes on stack so I thought that would of been reputableStack - overwrite but the second one got voted as a good answer. But still I would like to know if my code can work or not.
I've written some code to do this, but it's not working as I expect. This is what the ASCII map looks like:

I have written code to store data when am running in my machine it is working fine, but not working in server throwing an error saying that "The system cannot find the file specified."

The program should have a menu that has the following options.
NOTE: the data for choices to e) needs to come from running sql statements on the database tables created in choice a). Not from an ArrayList in memory.
a) Convert the baseball text file to a database table. Ask the user from a dialog box, for the location of the text file. This menu item should create the tables and load up the data.
b)Let the user input a team name, and list all of the years that they won the World Series
c)Let the user input a team name, and list the number of times they won the World Series
d)Let the user input a year, and you list the winner and loser for that year.
e)Add a new winner. The user should supply the winning team name, losing team name and year. Make certain that the year does not yet exist in the table and do not duplicate the team name(s) if they are already in the database tables.
f)Exit

At first I think that notify() must be called from another active thread. So I add a 'class Timing implements Runnable'. Then I call notifyAll() from class Timing. But still it was failed.
After wait() called on Ball's thread, the whole frame also freeze. I can not understand why this happen?
If this test success, I will add 1 one more ball and add keyboard keys as controller of ball's movement.
i have two different buttons. when i clicked first, the picture is shown and then when clicked second button it shown picture and both of will be closed. but i cant see second picture because immediately second button will be closed. how can i stopped second button for a 3 seconds fpr example?

The problem is, also when I have only one row in my jTable, the size of the jTable is a little more bigger than 40 rows.
How can I say the jTable, that she should scale to the size of the content?
