JSP :: How To Submit And Display Unicode Data (non English) On Page
Jul 28, 2014
i have a jsp page which contains two text areas inside two separate form tags. i want to submit unicode date in one textarea and display it in another. But nothing is working for me. i have to show basically all Indian Languages and english as well. here is the code of it
I am relatively new to JSF. I am trying to display data into a web page sorta like a jTextArea or at least onto a panel that is on the webpage, something similar to that. I can display the data in a particular format but it won't appear onto a panel in a specific location or the panel being a particular size.
I am currently working on a project where I have a dataTable, containing some of the information for a specific database table, with commandLinks at the side which I need to bring me to a new page(another jsf file that I have to display the relevant information there) and display only the row of data selected. I've been racking my brain about this and have been unable to figure out a way to do it.
I am creating a small application.I have a jsp font page.i have a jdbc connection code.I have a sample table in my database.i want to retrieve datas from the database and display them in the view page.
My questions are:
-Where do i have to write jdbc code? -How can i display the retrieved data in the display page?
I have created a gui which accepts username in the text field and once clicking on submit button it fetches user details and throws it on gui via JTable.
But when i click submit for the second time using different username the background process goes well and good the vector that i pass to jtable changes with new data but the values in gui still contain the old data.
I'm trying to right a GUI in swing, and as part of my program, I want to open a secondary window out of the main window when a mouse clicks on the main window. Then, once I click a button on the secondary window, I want that window to close and submit data to the main window (like an info form). I have almost figured out how to do this, except for one problem. By putting a variable inside my form window called "ready," and then in my main window running a loop that constantly checks if ready is true and doesn't proceed until its true, I can create the form window, modify the values in it (currently just one value called "difficulty" that's modified by a jSlider), and then when i click the "begin" button, ready is changed to true, the form window closes, and the main window can proceed. However, when I try to put the while loop checking the ready variable inside a mouseClicked method in the main window, the form window freezes when it opens, and you can't see any of its content or modify it in any way (you can't even close it).
Here is my code:
//form window class import java.awt.*; import java.awt.event.*; import javax.swing.*; import javax.swing.event.*; public class formWindow extends JFrame { private JTextField instructions1;
I have written a program student record system but can not save data to view or submit record. Able to run the program but failed to submit record or view pre-submitted records.
my Servlet as I would like my Servlet to run first and to create a session var then forward the value to the JSP (the GUI ) and have the JSP able to send a var back to the Servlet for reprocessing and update the session var to again be sent to the JSP and so on . - The Servlet contains logic to handle incorrect input types and directly out puts a HTML error page..
Below I will add the code I have so far and a link to the question in my Text Book.
My code:
JSP Page:
bank.JSP :
<% //Starts outputting the HTML Form %> <html> <head>
I am new to JSTL and JSP & I am running 2 seperate SQL queries from a java/jsp program and I need to display the results from both queries on one JSP page output.Currently I have java code that passes the 2 queries to a method along with passing the jsp files to output the query results
- the method dispatches the results to these 2 JSP pages using JSTL tags in hope for separate output results:
I need to have a way to display these 2 outputs into 1 jsp page: - currently one just overwrites the other.I also tried using the jstl core <c: tags in 2 separate methods on the same jsp page but the <c: tags just resulted in overwriting one another - The queries run and display fine except I cannot get them both to display correctly.using jstl and jsp for displaying multiple queries on the same page.example: the jsp file that runs the queries:
I am new to jsp .i created a wepage in jsp. That's i need to create dynamic textboxes in jsp and want to display the values of the textbox in next page.
I need assigning the selected hashmap values into a list and to display the values in a jsf page. The user will select certificates and will be stored in the below list:
private List<String> selectedCertificates = new ArrayList<String>();
The selectedCertificates will have the values ("AA","BB"). Now I will be passing the list into a hashmap in order to get the names and to display them on the jsf page.
Now my issue is that is how to display all the values of the CertificatesNames.get(key1) in the jsf page as I tried to do the below and it printed all the values when I used the #{mybean.beans} using the :
List beans = new ArrayList(CertificatesNames.values());
private int [] selectedAnimals; ... public int[] getSelectedAnimals() { return selectedAnimals; } public void setSelectedAnimals(int[] selectedAnimals) { this.selectedAnimals = selectedAnimals; }
I would like to know how to display the values of selected checkboxes on the JSF page after submitting the form? I tried outputtext, however it displays the object and not the values. I cannot even frame the outputformat for the same.
I'm looking for a way to gather data from a site page. all data is shown in the same page... I am trying to get the content and parse it is a bit crazy as data seems to be not organized. Itried to get it as a document but still looks crazy.
As all data is shown very clearly in the page (I would like every row to be an object) I'm sure there is some way to collect this data easily. (the data is from this page: [URL] ....)
I'll attach a snapshot and the content I got from the website.
I have one table in DB i.e. emp. I want to perform all CRUD (insertion,selection,deletion,updation) in DB. Now i want to populate that data in jsp page. Which Collection framework?
Recently I switched a RCP/swing app from using hypersonic to mysql. The problem is that there are some unicode characters in the data. The data now displays with the unicode characters as unicode in the app. I tried printing out the data from the bean and it comes out the same way on the console. If I cut/paste the string from the console and place another print statement inside the bean I get output with unicode from the field and formatted output from the other print statment. Why???
public String getText(){ System.err.prinltn(text); //this is the actual value that comes in from the database System.err.prinltn("u00e");//this is the cut/past value of what the above line prints except this shows in the console correctly return text; }
Need to display data in a table - no of columns are fixed, and rows may vary based on the data available in DB.Display tables in horizontally and 2 tables per row. If it exceeds 3 it should display in next rowsample format to display attached in attachment,Using JSF 2 & richfaces 4.0.
I'm doing a project in which I must display prices of computer accessories in a Scroll Pane viewer. The if statements are all checkboxes. I am completely lost with how to print to the viewer if a checkbox is selected. Furthermore, I am also lost with how to add up all of the checkboxes.
private void USBCheckActionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt) { // TODO add your handling code here: double area = 0; double computerprice = 500.0; if (printerCheck.isSelected()){ double printer = 100.0;
import java.io.*; public class Main { /** * @param args the command line arguments */ public static void main(String[] args) throws IOException { /// instantiate data input stream DataInputStream din = new DataInputStream (System.in); // Ask user to enter a message
[Code]...
I want to show the unicode value of input character but it does not work
