JSP :: Inform Browser To Show Plugin Install Window?
Aug 22, 2014
In my web application there is a need to provide a custom plugin to client , so I need to inform the browser to show plugin install window so that client can install that particular plugin.
I manage a small company through our bank's online system, that uses java, but I can't access it through any browser , they all give the same issue; after I choose the certificate file on my PC, nothing happens.
If i dual boot Ubuntu on my PC it works, so it's clearly something with the Windows installation.
Things tried :
- Reinstall Java, multiple times - Clean anything Java and Oracle related in my PC (except registry, I don't know how to fuzz with that) - Different browsers
What best API or whatever you call for browser automation? I mean clicking links, filling forms, gathering sources and other info. I already tried selenium WebDriver. It have all needed functions but there is no feature like attaching code into already opened browser so even doing google search it opens new browser window (opening takes ~5-10secs). Also I believe that there is no way that I could embed that browser into GUI.
Also tried WebSpecs and old Watij but also didnt found any way to attach or embed browser into my GUI.
So what I need is that I could create GUI with embeded browser and bunch of buttons. I click buttons then embeded browser clicks links, gets info etc.
I am currently looking for a best option to show the content of a workbook or an excel in browser on the fly of generating the workbook.
Currently, I am able to save the content as an xlsx file which is actually taking space in the temp folder while creation. This becomes an overhead for the user to delete the temp files manually.
So I am thinking of bringing the content of the generated excel file on the screen and give an option in the screen to download that into file.
I've been experiencing problems with the JMF extension when used in an Applet on the web. The program has worked fine previously but not returns the following error...
PackageManager: error reading registry javax.media.NoPlayerException: Cannot find a Player for : [filename] at javax.media.Manager.createPlayerForContent(Manager .java:1412) at javax.media.Manager.createPlayer(Manager.java:417)
[Code] .....
However the program works fine in Eclipse with no errors. I have tried reinstalling the JMF package and setting the CLASSPATH and JMFHOME but it still does not work. I am using the jmf-2_1_1e-alljava version. I have also tried putting the player code in an AccessController.doPrivileged() block but this still does not seem to work.
My code for the player is as follows....
private void play(final String track) { Thread dispatch = new Thread() { public void run() { try { if(player!=null) player.close();
I am trying to uncover why I am getting an error message when trying to view a panoramic photo on my wordpress website.We are using the PTviewer plugin.This is the error message when you load the page: URL....I recently took over as webmaster for this site am not sure how the previous developer decided to set this up.Here is the raw code:

Let's say, there is a simple Java application. It could either be a Swing or JavaFX or a plain Console application.
Then there are kind of X plugin jars which can be also on the classpath.
The main application (e.g. main.jar) scans the classpath for classes, which implement an plugin interface. For each found implementation it invokes some method on the interface.
The interesting part now is, that upon calling the interface method, some plugins may want to popup a JavaFX window.
And the problem is, that I can't just call Platform.runLater there, because of "java.lang.IllegalStateException: Toolkit not initialized".
And if I somehow manage to call Application.launch() (when? where?) in the plugin then there's the danger, that the second plugin gets "IllegalStateException: Application launch must not be called more than once"
I also don't want to call launch() in the main application, since it is not necessarily an JavaFX application.
Do I maybe need to start separate JVM in the plugin? Could it still communicate with the original JVM then (main.jar)?
I am new to javafx I start using it instead of swing i used the scene builder for my forms the problem i faced i don't know how to have main screen with menu bar at top and depending the select from the menu it will open other windows and those window must be inside my window just like for example netbeans.
I don't need to open new window in separate i need all windows inside my main window and controlling over them minimize maximize perhaps.
I am working on an Eclipse based project that uses WTP Eclipse plugin. Since I have switched security on in that plugin (by checking "Enable Security" check box on) I'm having multiple problems. I get a stack of security errors - attached in this post. I also show my java.policy file. Because the of the mass exceptions I list only the top, although I have attached a docx file with full thing.
Here is my java.policy file:
grant codeBase "file:${catalina.base}/wtpwebapps/App/WEB-INF/lib/hibernate-core-4.3.5.Final.jar" { permission java.util.PropertyPermission "*", "read, write"; }; grant codeBase "file:${catalina.home}/lib/catalina.jar" { permission java.lang.RuntimePermission "*";
[Code] ....
Exceptions:
15/08/2014 10:12:43 PM org.apache.catalina.core.AprLifecycleListener init INFO: The APR based Apache Tomcat Native library which allows optimal performance in production environments was not found on the java.library.path: C:Javajdk1.6.0_33in;C:WINDOWSSunJavain; C:WINDOWSsystem32;C:WINDOWS;

[code]....
Why don't the a's show up on the console? I put them in as part of the debugging process and now I don't understand why they don't show up in both places.
I'm trying to learn how to read from, and write to, Excel files. I'm looking at this link : [URL] ....
It seems like there are some Apache dependencies. So, I go here : [URL] .....
I downloaded the zipped file from the first link. Now what? I don't see any .exe file, or any way of installing it. How do I install it, or run it, or whatever? What is the next step here?
I am trying to install Java on my Debain based Linux OS and can`t seen to figure it out. I first typed "chmod +x jdk-8-nb-8-linux-i586.sh", than typed "./ jdk-8-nb-8-linux-i586.sh" to install it. It started to install, but than it gave my this message: (computer name has been changed)
bobsmith@bobsmiht-OptiPlex-GX620:~/Downloads$ ./jdk-8-nb-8-linux-i586.sh Configuring the installer... Searching for JVM on the system... Preparing bundled JVM ... ./jdk-8-nb-8-linux-i586.sh: 1: eval: /tmp/.nbi-5045119.tmp/jre-7u4-linux-i586.bin: not found Cannot prepare bundled JVM to run the installer. Most probably the bundled JVM is not compatible with the current platform.
How do I fix this? My Linux computer is not connected to the internet, I don`t know if this is a problem or not.
… and it tells me 1.7.0_51 IcedTea etc. I haven't found an OpenJDK version of Java8, so I tried the usual technique of unzipping the Oracle download into /usr/java (which I have created and given “campbell” ownership of).
campbell@xxxxx:~$ /usr/java/jdk1.8.0_05/bin/java -version bash: /usr/java/jdk1.8.0_05/bin/java: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error campbell@xxxxx:~$ /usr/java/jdk1.7.0_55/bin/java -version bash: /usr/java/jdk1.7.0_55/bin/java: No such file or directory
Same download in my home directory as I had last week. I repeated the download and got the same error. It is different from the error for Oracle Java7, which I haven't actually got installed at the moment.
I'm trying to make my first servlet, however since I have only installed the Java SE, the javac compiler is complaining about missing packages (javax.servlet.http...)
I've realized now that I need javax.servlet jar or class files from Java EE, but after downloading java_ee_sdk-7u1.zip from Oracle here I'm not seeing any .sh or java_ee_sdk-7-jdk7-macosx-x64.sh installer (which I saw mentioned elsewhere). The oracle page only instructs to unzip the downloaded file, and searching for javax.servlet only reveals a few files which I'm not sure what to do with:
I am attaching a document which shows the current state of my registry.What I want to know is if I can [safely] delete the JavaSoft folder with all lower subfolders, then re-install jdk1.6/0_31 which, I am told, is the current version being used here by developers.According to others on the development team (not my team), there COULD be something in the registry that is preventing both the installation of java jdk AND its uninstallation.Since I cannot seem to attach any kind of document.
I have created a java file and coverted it into exe file.. that exe file can be run directly by clicking the icon.... i dont need this, i want to install this java exe file and then use it.. is there any possible way?
I have uninstalled JAVA because I needed to download the 64-bit version but no matter WHAT I do I still get the same installation error message "keyset as registered in invalid" and I was downloading it from [URL] .... I will do whatever it takes to fix this!
I want to make a touchable program to install on my costumer information server that my client can search and register via my local database, how can i do this????
We are using Kronos and when our staff trys to run reports -- they get three java prompts.The first one is asking if they would like to update java.The second one is do you want to run this application.The third one is allow access to the following application from this website
We are in a non persistent VDI environment so these prompts come up over and over and over.how to edit the Windows 7 image to disable all three of these prompts.Is there a way to install java from the command prompt with the parameters to disable these prompts from ocurring? if so i will uninstall and re-install with those prompts.
I'm trying to install java_ee_sdk-6u3-jdk7-windows-x64.exe on our new Windows Server 2012 machine but the installer starts and I then get a Setup box appear that says Error: The Java(TM) Virtual Machine has aborted. I've looked in the Event Viewer and there are no messages and I've tried to get the installer to create a log file (by passing the parameter -l <loglocation>) but it doesn't seem to get that far as no log is created.
The very first time I tried to run the JavaEE install on this machine, it installed everything ok but didn't create the windows service as .NET Framework 3.5 was missing. So I uninstalled JavaEE and added in the .NET Framework 3.5 and then my problems began. I have already installed these versions of Java and JavaEE successfully on a previous Windows Server 2012 machine which had the .NET Framework 3.5 on it.
The JRE installed already on the computer is jre-6u45-windows-x64.exe and I am logged in as an administrator. I've tried uninstalling the JRE and reinstalling and also doing a registry clean using CCleaner incase there are any old references to the JRE/JavaEE but it didn't work.
