How To Create A Row Record With A Word Attachment In A Table
Nov 6, 2014In my java web jsf seam jboss application, I want to add a row in a table with some data fields such as date type, String etc, but one field will be a word attachment, how to do it?
Basically, there is a loop to create some rows of data in a table, before each table row data creation, I will create a word file and saved to a local path(the physical file path is hardcoded), then I will create a table row and attach this word file to that row. the loop will continue until the end of loop.

My main idea in creating JSP to display data from one or more tables.
I created 2 pages called Serverpage.jsp and Messagecount.jsp and it is working fine as expected,
Now i want to create home page and it should also have left navigation menu and it should contain MessageCount and MessageStatus.
When i click on Messagecount or MessageStatus my home page should refresh and have to display new JSP page (MessageCount.jsp or Serverpage.jsp)

How To Merge Two SQL Table Columns Into One JTable Column
Sep 5, 2013I have a database table containing two columns A and B. They both contain integers. I'd like to know if it's possible, when displaying them in a JTable, to be combined in one column X. I still need, however, to be able to distinguish them from each other when selecting a row from the JTable. E.g. to store each of the values in a a separate variable. Maybe I can combine them when reading from the ResultSet and use some sort of delimiter ? But how?

However I require check boxes on all cells. I tried creating a table for each column (which gives me my check boxes) but as the number of enries are often numerous and thus require vertical scroll the tables become out of sync (and to the user that sync is important).
Before I knock up some code to try and synchronise the tables I just wanted to check any alternative approaches. The project is SWT based.

I know the book usually expresses this operation the other way around, where the row is the argument of the first for statement, but I've set my array up where I need to add each row before moving to the next column.

Dec 8, 2014The problem is that I populate the table with autoincrement primary key. I don't want it to be visible. I have been googling for hours to find no solution. It seems that sql/mysql provides no solution by selecting all table columns except one. So I wonder, how I could overcome this problem. Here is some of my code:

I tried to omit ID from my SELECT statement, I tried to put Date as a first element in data[iEil][0] but neither options were successful. Data hasn't been changed in database. NOW, everything works fine, except I don't want ID column to be visible in my table.

Nov 13, 2014I have a requirement where in my primefaces datatable ,the filterMatchMode attribute(like any part of field,whole field) needs to be selected by the user by select menu .
To achieve this i have declared a variable in my viewscoped managed bean as filterCriteria and set the filterMatchMode attribute as filterMatchMode="#{beanName.filterCriteria}".The bean variable is getting set in the managed bean on submit but the filtering is not happening,i am getting empty message.
Also when i remove the keyed in value from filter box the data table is not restored which otherwise must be restored in normal situations. I have used and modified the example code given in primefaces showcase here.The code snippet is as below

But the problem is that I can't run the file anymore. Simply running it with the java command results in "java.lang.VerifyError: Expecting a stackmap frame at branch target 40". After some research this seems to be a problem with java 7 and a stricter verifier. I read several times that java -XX:-UseSplitVerifier should be used instead.
This really fixed the stackmap error, but then another error appeared: "java.lang.VerifyError: (class: AClass, method: signature: ()V) Inconsistent stack height 2 != 1". Are there any further steps required to insert a new exception in the exception table?
Additional info: Later I want to remove gotos (in this case the goto at line 27) and add a function call instead. When this function finishes it will throw a exception and propagate it back to the caller (which will be at line 27). Then the program should go on as if nothing happend, that is also the reason why the target of the exception is the same as the target of the goto (40)

Nov 22, 2014I am trying to put together a small application in my spare time. Nothing major, but one thing I want it to do is accept a few inputs, and take those and add them to a table with columns for use later (printing, calculations, etc). I was originally looking at something like Jtable, but that looks just like an excel spreadsheet done Java, so not what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for something that's read-only, where I can insert data from input fields, and then perform calculations with the column data later.
Adding And Subtracting In Budget Program - Display Table Showing Transactions

Here is my situation, I have 2 tabs in a GUI, one tab adds a transactions when the add button is clicked, and in the other tab displays a table showing all the transactions. In my code, I want it so that when the user chooses a deposit(combo box variable name = cbType, indexnumber for deposit is 0) it will add to the total and when the user chooses withdraw(index number is 1) then it will subtract it from the total. So when I tested the program with 2 transactions, the first transaction was a deposit and the 2nd transaction was a withdraw. The end product was that both amounts were subtracted from the total. When I did a withdraw first and a deposit second, the amounts were both added together.
