i am developing a web application and uses jsp page to print a payment receipt.
everything works good, but printer scrolls complete sheet after printing first receipt. so need scroll back manually every time i print a receipt.
So, how to stop printer from scrolling entire sheet.

I have a project to create an application where you can print all the detail to be written on a receipt (no more manual writing). I already have blank receipts. All I want to know is how to do that printing the details at exact position in my blank receipt. I'm starting to read about Jasper Reports but I don't know how it will work since most of its example are creating template.

Basically I am trying to make a POS system and need a way to print a receipt whether there are 1 items sold or 50. So I used a Arraylist. This is the format for the printer that is needed:
printer.printNormal(POSPrinterConst.PTR_S_RECEIPT, " 2 200 Tx Hashi Chop Sticks" + LF);
This is what I tried to do:

I have a JSF page (called MainPage) with a commandButton: clicking on it, I open a modal panel with a <Rich:fileUpload> component, related to a listener in corresponding bean.
When I start to upload a file, page MainPage starts to refresh, but I would like to prevent this because it's not necessary.
I tried to "play" with <Rich:fileUpload> property values, but nothing seems to work and I don't know what to do anymore.

why my code is not printing the matrix and sum?
The Java-program Matrix below first asks the user for the number of rows and columns in a matrix. After this the program asks for the values of the elements. Finally, program prints the elements of the matrix and their sum on screen. Your task is to create the missing methods. Check the example print to see how to modify the print. I am new to java and need to develop a solution for my requirement. And the requirement is as follows
File is given as excel sheet.
File contains all the "MECODE" consolidated into a one pivot table.
By clicking the "Count of MECODE" column of in each row we get individual MECODE sheets.

Write a program that will calculate the cost of a ticket order and display the receipt for the customer on the screen. There are 2 ticket prices: adult, and senior citizen. Adult seats are $4.50 and senior citizen seats are $3.50. If more than 5 senior citizen tickets are purchased, the customer gets an extra 20% off the of the ticket order. If more than 10 regular seats are purchased, the customer gets an additional 10% off the cost of the order. A customer can only place an order for one type of ticket. I am designing simple app which would store data about users and generate standard letter and print sun ray card for this user. I know how to build UI, how to validate it etc. I know how to store data in database, but I don't know how to deal printing.
I have MS doc template documents they contain jpg pictures, and unusual formatting Is there a way of actually pulling those templates and do the merge and perform print operation? If it is not easily done, what else I could do? I would need to have option to easily edit those templates in case of any changes.

I used the PLPDF software to generate a blob in PDF format in PL/SQL. I can open it in a browser but I would rather send it directly to a printer from PL/SQL.
I know I can use tools like BI and Jasper but I want this particular solution to be 100% database solution.
I was wondering of I can use JAVA in Oracle to send the blob to a printer.

I have some troubles rendering images to the printer, any resolution does not work, even 72 in PDF printer does not work, the image is crappy.
I use the following code but the result is not good. I mean the image quality is not acceptable.
