JSP :: Generate Hashtable And Display Its Key Value Pairs Back To Browser - How To Prevent Timeout
Jun 24, 2004
I have a jsp page that generate a hashtable and display its key-value pairs back to the browser. The problem is that it takes on an average about 15 minutes to build this hashtable, and as a result, I always get a timeout error. What can I do to avoid getting the timeout error without changing the server configuration for timeout
I want to send user back to the Login page after idle time of 10 secs. If user clicks again on screen before 10 secs are over, time will automatically reset to new 10 sec and so on...
I am generating java script tag and javascript code in servlet and displaying it in each jsp page. i include this in every jsp in my application. I am preparing the following javascript content and diplayin each jsp
<script type="text/javascript"> BOOM.addVar (clientId = SOME universal unique ID ) </script>
the clientid will be uniqueid it gets generated every time.
Here my question is, is there any possibility the clientId will be store in browser cache or third party cache server. if yes how to prevent clientId from cache.
I don't want to prevent the whole jsp file from cache. i just want to prevent only that particular field. so that i can use advantages cache and also prevent particular header field to be cached.
Also can we prevent particular http header attribute from cache.
I am getting Web Page Expired error while clicking the back button of the browser, after submitting a form. The form method is POST. ( I have to keep it that way). I tried this code
I got one task from my manager, regarding browser back button, refresh button. He asks me the web application has to work like Banks site... means if I refresh or click on Back button(Browser's) then it has to throw the user out of session, I checked lot in internet. But I found like only disabling back button of disabling F5 keys like that. But he’s not accepting that.
How to approach for this? Can we throw the user out of session when he clicks on browser back button or refresh button. I think its possible . But i don't know how to implement.
I am new to JSF and I am working on handling session timeout for a JSF application. I am trying to get the code to work for ajax calls and not able to achieve that so far. I have tried two approaches:
Approach 1: SessionListener (for cleanup work) and SessionFilter (for filtering every request and checking if session timed out)
My Code snippet of doFilter() of SessionFilter:
if ((request instanceof HttpServletRequest) && (response instanceof HttpServletResponse)) { HttpServletRequest httpServletRequest = (HttpServletRequest) request; HttpServletResponse httpServletResponse = (HttpServletResponse) response; // is session expire control required for this request? (not required for home page or timeout page or JSF resources) if (isSessionControlRequired(httpServletRequest)) {
[Code] .....
Both these approaches work for non-ajax POST calls but not for ajax calls. When I run my app in debug mode, I can step through all the statements for ajax calls also, which gives me an idea that the control does come to my code, executes it but for some reason, nothing happens on the UI.
I have been trying to redirect user to a timeout page but the ideal thing would be to display a JSF dialog and upon hitting 'OK' take user to Home Screen (My app does not have a login screen.) I have a basic questions also, is view expiring exactly same as session timeout?
I have JSON which as response from third party server,i call the URL and i want to print in browser as json but it is not display browser also display well in console i post my code here
URL url = new URL ("http://api.rottentomatoes.com/api/public/v1.0/movies/770672122.json?apikey=qpdtfwugwbxt32awk8jvwcdq"); URLConnection uconn = url.openConnection(); BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(uconn.getInputStream())); String line=null; while ((line = in.readLine()) != null) { System.out.println(line); }
output in browser ============

i am using eclipse kepler and tomcat 7 with the below code to get a response from the browser. i get no errors on my code and i organize my imports but when i run the code i get an http 404 error. i restart the server and it goes into the whole motion telling me that "Tomcat v7.0 Server at localhost started and is synchonized" i refresh it and i still get the error.
When I am invoking a servlet class file from my HTML file instead of displaying output in my browser it is downloading my output as a file..Why it is?..
I want to store an image/file into oracle database using jsp.
I have written code to store data when am running in my machine it is working fine, but not working in server throwing an error saying that "The system cannot find the file specified."
What best API or whatever you call for browser automation? I mean clicking links, filling forms, gathering sources and other info. I already tried selenium WebDriver. It have all needed functions but there is no feature like attaching code into already opened browser so even doing google search it opens new browser window (opening takes ~5-10secs). Also I believe that there is no way that I could embed that browser into GUI.
Also tried WebSpecs and old Watij but also didnt found any way to attach or embed browser into my GUI.
So what I need is that I could create GUI with embeded browser and bunch of buttons. I click buttons then embeded browser clicks links, gets info etc.
So I need to generate 10 random integers in the range 1-20 but i have to store them in an array called numbers. Then I have to call a method called displayArray which displays the contents of the array and for the assignment i have to use a for loop to traverse the array. The method header for the displayArray method is:
public static void displayArray(int[] array)
This is what I have done
public class RandomIntegers { static int numbers = 0; public static void displayArray(int[] array) { System.out.println(numbers + "Numbers Generated");
I am trying to write a program that will generate a QR Code from an input text and also display some information about the input/output bits. So far I have created the frame and what to do next. And I'm not sure if I am on the right track since my level of programming is not that great. By the way, I am using zxing libraries from GitHub. I know, there are plenty of generators online for the QR Code, but that is not what I am looking for. As you can see on the attached image, I am more interested in the efficiency of encoding 2D data. Also, I noticed that almost all the online projects regarding 2D codes are for Android. Which is not very useful.
I've just written a program that generates 100 numbers that range from 0 ~ 25 using arrays, the program calls another method that sorts the even numbers into a separate array and returns the array. I need it to display both arrays, however, when I run my program, the numbers of both arrays are mixed together, and I'm not sure how to separate them.
[ public class Array1 { public static void main(String[] args) { int array [ ] = new int[100]; for (int i = 0; i < array.length; i++) { array[i] = (int) (Math.random() * 26);
I thought of processing line by line using scanner and then split each line in the ":" . But then i stuck, i only need the right part of the ":" so that i can save it to a class e.g. John Doe, 133456593, married etc.
Java Code: Name: John Doe TRN: 133456593 Status: Married Income: 22500 Receipts:
Receipt ID: 1 Date: 25/2/2014 Kind: Basic Amount: 2000 Company: Hand Made Clothes Country: UK City:London Street: Cambridge Number: 10
So in my java class we are suppose to ask for how many names are going to be entered, create an array of that length, and then store that many inputted names. We then take those names, alphabetize them, and create a set of pairs. For example, it might look like this:
How many people are there? 4 Please enter the names of those people: Dana Bob Alice Charlie
There are 6 possible pairings. They are: Alice & Bob Alice & Charlie Alice & Dana Bob & Charlie Bob & Dana Charlie & Dana
We are also suppose to account for less than two names (both 1 and 0 as well as negatives).
I keep getting a null point exception error and I can't figure out why. Even debugging in Eclipse doesn't give any pointers except that it is originating in line 76.
import java.util.Scanner; import java.util.Arrays; class partners { public static int numNames; public static int numPairs;
Each numeric value in the file is an indication of the number of occurrences of each feature (e.g., forest, tree) multiplied by a given penalty. To generate instances from such a file, I use the following Java code:
I then add the so-generated instances to my model using the instruction model.addInstances(generatedInstances). The resulting output is described below.
It contains errors caused by the instruction model.addInstances(generatedInstances). Debugging my code showed me that the alphabet associated to the model is null. Am I using the wrong iterator?
I am having some problems with some code and I need an extra set of eyes. It appears I've missed something. I am getting a NullPointerException with a Hashtable object, which I can clearly see I've created. So I'm not quite sure why it is happening. I am pretty sure it is do with the code I've posted because I've tested everything else involved.Here is the code where it happens,
I was browsing around and I found a question asking to find how many times a word occurred in a sentence. I am using a hashtable, over kill yes but I need to use them more. However my counter is not working, not really sure why.You can see in the main method I have two repeating names but it returns 0.
package frequency; import java.util.Hashtable; public class CheckFrequency { hashtable<String, Word> words = new Hashtable<String, Word>();
I am having some difficulty adding a new item to the HashTable when a collision occurs. We can only use the basic utilities to code this, so we are coding a HashTable by hand. We have an array of length of 10, which each index holds or will hold a Node for a Linked List.
The code hashes fine, adds the item, but the problem exists when adding items that already been hashed. The project is much bigger, but this is the engine behind the rest, and I figured I would tackle this first.
The items we are adding are objects which are states containing different information, we hash based on the ASCII sum % tableSize.
Here is the code I am testing with to add items:
HashTable ht = new HashTable(10); State az = new State("Arizona","AZ","W",2,"Y",2); State fl = new State("Florida", "FL", "F", 2, "X", 2); State hi = new State("Hawaii", "HI", "H", 3, "Z", 1); State al = new State("Alabama", "AL", "A", 5, "W", 0); ht.insert(hi);
I'm writing the remove method, where you insert the key and it searches the key, if the key is found you remove the value inside the table and return that value, if they key is not found you return null. I did this method but is not returning anything in the main so I try to print inside an if to see if it was entering the condition and it appears to be looping, I'm using arrays because its an assignment
public V remove(K k) { int key = funcionHash(k); V key2 = (V) tabla[key].value; int intento=1; if(this.estatus[key]==1){ while(intento<this.tabla.length/2){ if(this.tabla[key].key.equals(k)){
I'm having a problem implementing double hashing when I insert a value into the table i get this for the output:
Insert []. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'm not getting any errors
public static int size = 0; public static ArrayList<Integer>[] a; public static void interactiveMode(Scanner input) { int menuChoice = 0; do { System.out.println(" Interactive Mode:");
