JSP :: How To Pass Attribute Along With Its Value From Servlets To Plain Java Class
Nov 3, 2014
I just want to know how to pass an Attribute along with its value from servlets to a plain Java class. Im using java beans but it's showing null...So as an alternative im using session to access variables in java class..
package com.emp; public class salarybean { private String name; private Double days; private Double id; public String getName() { return name;
[code]...
now i want to retrieve all these values in another servlet where i want to do some calculation but not able to retrieve it is showing null and indicating for this value in my eclispe IDE " Iterator<salarybean> itr=list.iterator(); "
public class Time extends HttpServlet { public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, java.io.IOException

Right so I have my ItemsPage Jframe Class and I'm trying to pass my TotalPrice variable to my CashPay so I can calculate the change. CashPrice runs and works but when I try run ItemsPage it does nothing I don't even get errors. I tried to remove that small section of trying to pass the variable to CashPay and it worked perfectly so I 100% know that's the problem. This section "public ItemsPage() { Pounds = ""; //super();
Scanner sc = new Scanner(System.in); CashPay sendTotalPrice = new CashPay(); //System.out.println("Enter your amount"); TotalPrice = sc.nextDouble(); sendTotalPrice.printTotalPrice(TotalPrice); " Here is complete code for both classes, I'm using GUI builder.
I'm looking to figure out if it's possible to do the following:
HttpSession session = request.getSession(); session.setAttribute('name', 'Jane_Doe'); // more code here session.setAttribute('name', 'John_Doe');
Obviously, you can use the HttpSessionAttributeListener to determine which attribute has changed. However, it doesn't return the new value but rather the old one.
You can use the HttpSessionEvent listener to determine when a session object has been changed.
Is there a way you can determine when a session object changes (and it does NOT occur when the setAttribute method is called...) and determine the updated key:value pair?
Being new to java I am a bit lost as to why my session attribute for this banking app wont add the deposits to the session var... it just keeps going back to the amount I set it to originally - so if I set the beginning balance to 3000 then deposit 100 it becomes 3100, but if I then try deposit another amount eg. a extra 200 it becomes 3200 not 3300 like it should be !!

I am generating java script tag and javascript code in servlet and displaying it in each jsp page. i include this in every jsp in my application. I am preparing the following javascript content and diplayin each jsp
<script type="text/javascript"> BOOM.addVar (clientId = SOME universal unique ID ) </script>
the clientid will be uniqueid it gets generated every time.
Here my question is, is there any possibility the clientId will be store in browser cache or third party cache server. if yes how to prevent clientId from cache.
I don't want to prevent the whole jsp file from cache. i just want to prevent only that particular field. so that i can use advantages cache and also prevent particular header field to be cached.
Also can we prevent particular http header attribute from cache.
I have programmed a Router class which has two methods, receive and send.In receive method it receives the plain text from the server through port 2000.Its now all cool.In send method it sends the message to a client through the port 2001 but at the client i get an exception
connection refused:connect import java.io.*; import java.util.*; import java.net.*; import java.sql.*; class Router { String str; public void receive()
We've implemented the Whitelist and there's an application I need to use the Force attribute with, however, I'm unable to get this to work. As I read it, this code says use Java 1.6_24 for Example.com and any other applications are blocked from running. There are three versions of Java installed - 1.6_24, 1.7_65 & 1.8_25. The Java console shows 1.8_25 being called.
Here's the ruleset.
<ruleset version="1.1+"> <rule> <id location=https://example.com /> <action permission="run" version="1.6_24" force="true" /> </rule> <rule> <id /> <action permission="block"> <message> This application is blocked due to Java restrictions, please contact the Service Desk for assistance.</message> </action> </rule></ruleset>
I also tried
<action force="true" permission="run" version="1.6.0_24" /> and also <action force="true" version="1.6.0_24" permission="run" />.
The Java console is still showing version 1.8.0_25.
import java.io.FileNotFoundException; public class PrimaClasse { public static void main(String[] args) throws FileNotFoundException { SecondaClasse oggettoSeconda = new SecondaClasse(); oggettoSeconda.controlloNomi();
[code]....
Now it's working and from the main class i can controll the second class BUT. i want that is the main class that ask the user name, and i want pass that value to the second class. what code i must change?why eclipse wants me insert this import java.io.FileNotFoundException; and this throws FileNotFoundException for not give me an error?
My dynamic web project has a java class that captures a session variable with the following code.
HttpSession LoginSession = request.getSession(); String VAR = LoginSession.getAttribute("myVar").toString(); //This is the row 127
If i test the app in local (Mac + Java 1.8 + Tomcat 8) all works. In my remote cloud server (Ubuntu 14.10 + Java 1.8 + Tomcat 8) all works, except this class, that has this code. I copy the complete error here. Note that the row 127 of the error message is the second row of the previous code; and, if i comment this row with // and assign a fix variable all works. So, the problem is that 127^ row.

I need to check in my java class the status of the javascript (whether it's enabled or disabled) and based on that few validations will be performed at server side.
If have to use noscript, then any small example for xhtml. My project works on Spring web flow.
As the title says, how can I pass a value from one variable to another class?
Example:
So here I'm switching one frame to another, called "redigeraProjekt". Now in this class, I want the value from .getSelectedIndex() pass over to that class. I've tried to use the variable "valIListan" but it cannot find it. Probably because it's "private" (?)
valIListan = listaAllaSpelProjekt.getSelectedIndex(); redigeraProjekt npj = new redigeraProjekt(); // "switching" to another frame npj.setVisible(true); this.setVisible(false);
Suppose I have an enum class named Faction and one of the constants is named DAUNT. I created a class of the enum DAUNT but how can I pass in a DAUNT faction type in for Daunt?
Java Code:
public enum Faction { ALMIGHTY, AMBITION, DAUNT, RESTLESS, CAN; }
//new file public class Daunt { public Daunt() { } } mh_sh_highlight_all('java');
in my progrm there are three diff array of objects...namely garments..gadgets and home app...now one who buys from each of these sections will have to make a bill at last...when he choses to make the bill he will be shown the list of products he bought and their details (like price...brand...etc)...so i thought that while he orders each product(which is done in a previous method called purchase()...)....(each product is stored as an object in there diif arrays namely garments...gadgets ...appliances)....each of those object will be copied in a new array in a diif class...then that array print will give me the desired result...
is this approach correct...?and if its correct then how can i pull out a specific obj frm a stored array of object and then save it in a new array....?
I have an stand alone client to use a remote ejb with some methods. All works fine, but when I pass an entity class as parameter from the stand alone client to the remote ejb, the entity class is received as null.
Regarding the lifecycle of servlet , in headfirst servlet i can find :
You normally will NOT override the service() method, so the one from HttpServlet will run. The service() method figures out which HTTP method (GET, POST, etc.) is in the request, and invokes the matching doGet() or doPost() method. The doGet() and doPost() inside HttpServlet don’t do anything, so you have to override one or both. This thread dies (or is put back in a Container-managed pool) when service() completes.
How can I call the doGet method of the subclass from the superclass. i am not getting this .
public class AddArray { public static void main(String[] args) { int sum = 0; sum = addArray(myarray); System.out.println(" hello"); System.out.println("This program will create an array then pass the array to an method to be totaled"); int myarray[] = new int [6];
