JSP :: Sending Variable Set In Java Tag Library Definition To File
Jun 29, 2014
I am working on some enhancement on application. I have a requirement. The flow is as below
In a jsp file one selection dropdown exists and a body. Selection dropdown is written as custom tag library and is included in jsp file eg tag.tld whose code exists in tag.java code for other parts of jsp are written in that *.jsp file itself. eg test.jsp
i.e test.jsp calls tag.tld to include selection dropdown
I now want a hashmap created in tag.java to be available in jsp file and I want to use it in one of the javascript function available in same jsp file for validation
I have two programs that I'll post below, one is a Server and the other is a Client. The ChatServer runs once and many clients can run ChatClient from separate computers and talk together in their GUI's. The the client program comes with two buttons, one that's simulates the sending of a message to a single user ; "Send Message To User", and one that just generally sends a message ; "Send Message To All". Although now the Clients on the server seem to be able to selectively send messages to an individual by giving the recipient name, all the clients can see that message, which is not exact what I am aiming for. What I am going for is having the "Send Message To User" button click to send a message to the named user without all other users seeing the message.
Now I have tried thing like having various input output streams and trying to connect those, but no luck. Tried fiddling with having the names arraylist directing the messages to one client versus all but that did not work out either. How I what I would need to do to go about doing this?
I want to access variable of java file into jsp Page. So I tried to do this but it does not work.
Problem : when I am trying to access "getName" method of java class into jsp file it displaying error, i already imported "Ajaxmethod.java" file in to "success.jsp" I want to access "getName" method in to jsp file without creating object of class.
Ajaxmethod.java package a.b; public class Ajaxmethod implements Action{ public String name; public String getName() { return name; }
I am new to java (been Reading for 2 days now), and have almost no knowledge on programming (I am a Mechanical Engineer).The problem I have is that I have to upload 5,000 files to a web page (each one is name B001400XXXX.pdf in consecutive order).I have managed to access the web page and select a few form elements using watij, but I am having a hard time sending my pdf file to the server. This is what I have so far:
Java Code: import org.watij.webspec.dsl.WebSpec; public class NewClass { public static void main(String[] args) {
I am creating a server that stores application updates. When the client connects the server send the update. The server is sending the file but the file is not complete, i.e, if the file is 317kb,its send 117kb. Below is the code I am using :
import java.io.BufferedInputStream; import java.io.File; import java.io.FileInputStream; import java.io.IOException; import java.io.OutputStream; import java.net.ServerSocket; import java.net.Socket; public class TestFileServer {
I am puzzled by a note in the book I am reading (by Mala Gupta). Page 55 says "All java components you've heard of can be defined within a java class: import and package statements, variables.....". But the online oracle doc (tutorial) clearly says the following 2 statments:
"If present, package statement must be the very first line in a file"
"To import a specific member into the current file, put an import statement at the beginning of the file before any type definitions but after the package statement, if there is one. " (Here).
So, how can import and package be present inside a class ? (This seems to go against the 2 statements from oracle online tutorial).
I am designing simple app which would store data about users and generate standard letter and print sun ray card for this user. I know how to build UI, how to validate it etc. I know how to store data in database, but I don't know how to deal printing.
I have MS doc template documents they contain jpg pictures, and unusual formatting Is there a way of actually pulling those templates and do the merge and perform print operation? If it is not easily done, what else I could do? I would need to have option to easily edit those templates in case of any changes.
I have an application and I would like it to send a file to a web page using POST method.
I've found the HttpClient from Apache, but I had no luck. All the tutorials and samples I can find on the net are for 3.x. I've tried adopting the samples with the HttpClient 4.1 docs, but I failed.
I have a target url of a page and source file path. I get the basic idea of what needs to happen, I am just finding it hard to implement it.

I am using Spring to develop a web application.I have used JQuery ui in HTML page it is working fine a Dialog box appear with JQuery effect.But When I use the same procedure in jsp it is not working.Here is my code of jsp file
<%@ page language="java" contentType="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" pageEncoding="ISO-8859-1"%> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1"> <title>Login Page</title> <style>
I am trying to make a Library that will read some Input Files from a File . Like When We Enter Nuber from a System.in
1 2 45 667
77 34
and then store these values in int[] array
What I want is I Save all these values in a File and at Run time pass path of that file to command line arguments and then int[] array will be initialize using that
I need to be able to select a file (compressed), change its file extension (to zip) and load all its content, preferably as objects. If it makes things easier one can assume all these files to be of the same type.
The content of the zip file are placed in folders, known Beforehand which might make things easier.
I'm getting an IllegalArgumentException returned when I try to get a file using guava library.
I previously had the function working when the file was in a different location, before I switched to running JBehave, my steps run but it fails to find the resource, even after I've moved it.
The code being executed is (this worked previously before using JBehave):
The file I'm looking for is in the root folder for src/main/resources and also src/test/resources, previously I had it within a completely different location before I switched over to JBehave. I've tried it within a subdirectory in the same locations too.
I've recently updated the pom.xml to try to include the location required.
i have been given a homework assignment where I have to get rid of a stack object I wrote for a program and replace it with the Stack<E> library java offers ie:
public class Stack<E> extends Vector<E> { public Stack(); // constructor public Boolean empty(); public E peek(); public E pop(); public E push(E item); }
my question is do i have to actually write all these methods? Or can i just construct a stack and use the methods?
I have a custom library I made to make things easier for myself. I used it in a small program in NetBeans and it works fine. When I try to clean and build, it says it can't find the methods from my Library class. How do I get the library packaged into the jar?
I search this source code in google about library system then i run this in my JCreator then that error appear . I think that problem is all about "main". where can i put that main ?
I am reading the excellent book Algorithms. The author of this book is using his own libraries.
I have downloaded the libraries (it is a file called stdlib.jar) and I've store it in a directory called ~/Downloads(I am using a macbook pro).
Then I have created a project with IntelliJ Idea 14.1 using the default package (as it is the only way for a program to 'see' these libraries).
The program is running inside the ide, but because of the nature of this book, all the included code must be run from the command line.
The problem is that I cannot run for example the Average class from the command line because the system asks for the external library.
Specifically the error is :
I enter : java -cp . Average
and the Error I get is :
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: StdIn at Average.main(Average.java:11) Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: StdIn at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:372)
[Code] ....
The Average class is the following :
public class Average { public static void main(String[] args) { //Average the numbers on StdIn double sum = 0.0; int cnt = 0;
i need a java library function that searches the stream of tcp packets coming to my computer from a particular ip address, so i can perform regular expressions on the contents of those packets.

`MyQueueBean` is intended to give out a bird once only, to exactly one end-user. Because it's application scoped, and not session scoped, getting attributes directly from the bean would give inconsistent results.
The birds application is from Facelets Essentials Guide to JavaServer Faces View Definition Framework: [URL] ....
how is the variable passed to the file? Once it's passed, how is it referenced?
I am working on a calculator for Android.To make sure the application I am developing works with multiple operations (in the correct order) I decided to use ANTLR as part of my Java coding of the calculator. So in a separate file (.g4 file), I must declare the format of the expression.
After which I need to include the ANTLR class library in my Java Class. Then I believe I need to call a set of functions such as createLexerInterpreter and createParserInterpreter, but I am not sure. I will be having an algorithm string that will need to be parsed, such as " 3+4*5+8*9+(5/6) ".
I have BlueJ installed on my computer and it does the job of compiling the java source code written in it. If I want to write and compile source code outside of BlueJ do I still need to download the Java SDK and set the PATH variable, even though I am apparently able to do it in BlueJ?
