JSP :: Session Validate Is Not Working In Internet Explorer
Aug 9, 2010
I have a click button called log off , here once a user clicks it , task goes to logout servlet to end current user session . below is my code , I don't know why it works fine with mozilla firefox and google chrom but not working with internet explorer.
here it goes fine to my index, but if I logged in again, I should enter a new session , but unfortunately this not happened in explorer , works fine with mozilla , and chroom.
I have also done in my index.jsp the check like below:
just to erase whatever previous session . But why session exist on same page ! only in explorer , it makes me open new explorer for new user and that is what I don't want !
in my web.xml my session time out is working but not fully working in my ui i use tiles , i have 5 clickable side panels i try to set timeout for 1 minute or 10 minutes for testing after the time is timeout this what happen working refresh the page after time out = working ,directed me into log in page which is correct.i have 5 clickable side panel in my page after timeout when i click the first 2 in side panel tabs it directed me into log in page which is also correct not working after the timeout when i navigate the page i click the other 3 side panels i can still navigate into the page but when i click the first 2 side panel it directed to log in page w/c is correct but can still navigate the page the other 3 side panels
issue : my session timeout is not fully working on my page.
I am adding my shopping cart in session like bellow in servlet
HttpSession session = request.getSession(); session.setMaxInactiveInterval(60*30); // 30 minutes if (session.getAttribute("cart") == null){ session.setAttribute("cart", new ShoppingCart()); } cart = session.getAttribute("cart");
I seems if more than one person accesses it from server, if they items in the shopping cart, all the product is added to a single session. I mean if i added 4 items first and other person adds 2 items, second person sees 6 products in his cart. Where am I going wrong?
I thought there'd be loads of people looking to do the same. I have just got a Github account and uploaded all my source code for a project and would like to upload the associated JAR file with it. I am not too fussed about the JAR file being on github, providing a link to somewhere else it can be downloaded is fine too.
For my job I would to develop a Java application which downloads some data from a webpage and then process them.
The problem is that I have to authenticate to a proxy server to connect to the internet. As I browsed on the net, there is a possible way for implementation.
Sometimes it works fine, but usually I get the following exception:
java.io.IOException: Unable to tunnel through proxy. Proxy returns "HTTP/1.1 407 Proxy Authentication Required" at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.doTunneling(HttpURLConnection.java:2083) at sun.net.www.protocol.https.AbstractDelegateHttpsURLConnection.connect(AbstractDelegateHttpsURLConnection.java:183) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getInputStream0(HttpURLConnection.java:1511) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getInputStream(HttpURLConnection.java:1439) at sun.net.www.protocol.https.HttpsURLConnectionImpl.getInputStream(HttpsURLConnectionImpl.java:254)
I don't understand what's the problem and why it's not persistent.
This is the code that I need to do without using the Joptionpane:
An Internet service provider has three different subscription packages for its customers:
Package A: For $9.95 per month 10 hours of access are provided. Additional hours are $2.00 per hour.
Package B: For $13.95 per month 20 hours of access are provided. Additional hours are $1.00 per hour.
Package C: For $19.95 per month unlimited access is provided.
Write a program that calculates a customer's monthly bill. It should ask the user to enter the letter of the package the customer has purchased (A, B, or C) and the number of hours that were used. It should then display the total charges.
This is what I have so far : Cannot use Joptionpaneshowinputdialog
/* A demonstration of how to use Decision Structures
import java.util.Scanner;
/** This program demonstrates a switch statement. */
public static void main(String[] args) { char packageLetter; int hoursUsed;
May be I did not understand the meaning and usage of attribute "session" in page directive. My understanding is if session=false, in page directive, then the JSP page will not participate in the session. However, I have my welcomepage as below:
Can I access the session object even session has been expired? I need to check whether session is expired or not for each request.The session invalidation is set null the session object. What I concluded, session time out I can access session object but session invalidation I can not access session object. How can I find the session time out by using session object?
1) From War A, I login to the application and then fetch some users that is a rest call. I get the response back from rest in json form that ui consumes and display the data on page.
2) Now I click on the logout link from ui jsp. This logs out the session from Ui. I use <form data-dojo-type="dijit/form/Form" based logout.
3) I then go to the proxy (using burp) and manually request the rest call which I made in step no 1), the rest gives the response back with the same json object returned in step no 1) This shows that the logout action on step 2) is invalidated the session from War A (ui war) but the session or cookie based from WAR B (rest war) is not invalidated.
Expected outcome:After I Logout from War A(ui war), the session must also get invalidated from war B (rest war) and manually request from proxy should not get the same response object as received in step 1)
I am developing a e-commerce college project, here i add the items in the cart(a div tag in the jsp page) via servlet by creating sessions,
flow control: shopping jsp (when user wants to add an item in the cart) --> item servlet (which is used to create session and synchronized it) --> cart servlet(which is used to add items in the arraylist and show them in the shopping.jsp's div tag + it also sets the total purchase amount in the session variable "totalpurchase")
now after that user wants to proceed to checkout, here i use the onclick event to check the minimumshopping amount must be less than the totalpurchase (totalpurchase which i had setted in the session),but my jsp page is unable to rechognise the updated value of the totalpurchase, yes, if i reload the page, it rechognises the new updated value of the totalpurchase? but i want it to rechognise the updated total purchase value, without reloading he jsp page..
I created a GUI with a jTextField as an input box and am wondering how to validate that this data is an integer from 0 - 9. Here is what I have. However the if statement shows an error that says int cannot be dereferenced.
private void doneButtonActionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt) { //Create and Initialize Variable int category = Integer.parseInt(categoryInput.getText()); if (category.matches(0-9)); //int cannot be dereferenced error here {
I want to validate username and password in JavaScript. I want to validate username and password with database values. If login failed i want to display alert message...ok. But problem is that i have index.jsp page. After clicking login button control goes to homepage.
jsp..okk.. in index.jsp I have taken dropdown to show designation. I select design then control goes to respective homepage... in homepage. I am checking username and password with database values. If login successful it goes to respective pages but if login failed it has to show me alert message. How can i do that ?
Why will this NOT validate correctly in my IF Statement? Basically, a user chooses an option from the drop down list. The value is passed to t.jsp (itself) and if the option "All" is chosen, then it does something. If any of the years are chosen, then it does something else.
I have a JSP which will let a user register for an account at my website. If the user submits wrong or illegal info into the JSP, then I want to return the same JSP with an appropriate error message next to/above each wrongly filled (form) fields.
If possible, highlight the wrongly filled form field - this feature is not necessary though.
I have given a sample below to show what I need. I understand that the sample must be using something like javascript, but I don't know all that client side scripting. I only want to use JSP to do it. As I said, I want to sort of return the JSP form to the user after marking all the mistakes and how to correct them.
Code given below does real time validation for 2 JTextFields. While entering some values to txt1 and txt2 enables the save button and removing values from txt2 or txt1 reset the save button to disable. I use Netbeans as IDE.What I want to do is, enable Save button after checking multiple JTextFields for validity. If any of the text fields is empty, btnSave must be disabled.This program gives expected result up to some extent. But there is little issue. After form appears for the first time, When I type something on Textfield1, Save button enables without checking Textfield2. This happens only at the first time.
public class NewJFrame extends javax.swing.JFrame { private Boolean isValidFromTextField1 = true; private Boolean isValidFromTextField2 = true; public NewJFrame() { initComponents(); btnSave.setEnabled(false);
I am trying to implement an example (Book* : Java SE 7 ..By S G Ganesh) for validating an IP address but it fails to validate a valid IP addresses. I found another example on the internet(**) and it works super fine, no problem at all. I edited the code (the one I got from internet) into the exact format like book and it still works super but i don't understand why the books' example doesn't work though both look exactly the same now ,further more, how can i compare String x and y for equality?
public class TestClass { void validateIP(String ipStr) { String one = "((25[0-5]|2[0-4]d|[01]?dd?)(.)){3}(25[0-5]|2[0-4]d|[01]?dd?)"; //copied from internet and edited String two = "((25[0–5]|2[0–4]d|[01]?dd?)(.)){3}(25[0–5]|2[0–4]d|[01]?dd?)"; // copied from book String x = "((25[0-5]|2[0-4]d|[01]?dd?)(.))"; String y ="((25[0–5]|2[0–4]d|[01]?dd?)(.))";
I am working in the field of validating data. I need to validate names and test scores and i keeping getting errors in my code. I keep tracing back all the errors and now I am stuck at a logic error. It is giving me a the validate sentence over and over even when i type stuff in. I have searched up how to do the .equals to a string but it doesn't give me a accurate enough to my problem.
import java.util.Scanner; public class P5A { public static void main (String args[]) { System.out.println( "Always Show" ); Scanner reader = new Scanner(System.in);

I am developing an application to share my client screen with server, it is working well on swing. But i want to develop as web application, i am trying to using applet. But i am facing the fallowing problem..,
1) The Applet screen also open and project also running well on server mechine. But unable to see the client screen on the server.
2) The problem may be to display the JDesktopPane or JInternalFrame.
My working Server Code extends withe JFrame..Java Code:
I have tried this example ([URL].../) with CarDao extending the BaseDao, it works like a charm.However, from the CarDao class, my NetBeans underlined the class name “CarDao” with the error message “A session bean must not extend another session bean.” But I can compile, deploy and run the application without any problem.
I have also heard that a session bean cannot extend another session bean, but why it works here?
I am using Java EE 6, NetBeans 8.0.1 and WebLogic 12c for this code testing.
