Java Student Record System - Cannot Save Data To View Or Submit Record
Feb 19, 2014
I have written a program student record system but can not save data to view or submit record. Able to run the program but failed to submit record or view pre-submitted records.
I am running this method but for some reason I am not able to find the data record, it keeps going to the catch. I have the data.txt file in the same directory as the java file.
public static Games[] gamesRecord(){ Games[] game = new Games[50]; try{ Scanner dataFile = new Scanner(new File("data.txt")); for(int i = 0; i > 50; i++){ game[i].title = dataFile.next(); game[i].releaseDate = dataFile.nextInt(); game[i].redistributions = dataFile.nextInt(); game[i].platformRelease = dataFile.next();
if (addrecord == true){System.out.printnl("record added");}
I close the interface then enter search for the record i just added using add record method but i do not find it what i am trying to say the added record using my application is not there. The question is how to save this record in the database ...
So I have two related tables - Country (Master) Projects (Detail). Country has a OneToMany relationship with Projects. I put a link on my AllProjects.xhtml page. When tyhe link is clicked it uses a data model class to to display the current (clicked) project record (projectRecord object). After editing all the details, the UPDATE button calls a merge method in the DAO class. On the first attempt to update, nothing happens and the record is returned as it is with no errors. If I try updating again, I get:
Is the 'new' keyword in the entity class causing the Inser statement in the DAO because the JPA thinks I want to create a new object therefore invokes INSERT instead of UPDATE?
I am working on web project in java. i have taken buttons in column..and projects is my column..when i click on a button in first row ,i want fetch all information about selected project....so how can i do that?
protected void doPost(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException { // TODO Auto-generated method stub String delete = ("DELETE FROM anagrafica WHERE Nome = ? And Cognome = ?"); ConnectionManager cm = new ConnectionManager(); String Nome = request.getParameter("nome"); String Cognome = request.getParameter("cognome");
[code]....
and this is my JSP.The problem is easy, when I click on the grid for deleting the record two things happen, or the record is deleted only on JSP but not in my Database or Nothing happens even on my JSP, it is because I don't know how to get values from my jsp and send them to replace the ? in my delete query I tried even to give a name to the <tr> which contains Name and Last name but obviously i guess it works only for input type ex. Textbox.
In my java web jsf seam jboss application, I want to add a row in a table with some data fields such as date type, String etc, but one field will be a word attachment, how to do it?
Basically, there is a loop to create some rows of data in a table, before each table row data creation, I will create a word file and saved to a local path(the physical file path is hardcoded), then I will create a table row and attach this word file to that row. the loop will continue until the end of loop.
I'm making a game to teach myself programming java so I can start making android. I have this game I'm making where there will be objects(so far its asteroids) will be falling with a progressive velocity (they will move faster as time goes on). The object is the click on the objects before they hit the bottom. It's still early meaning not all the parts I want to implement are there but it works the way I want it to so far besides my click function.
I'm using the Mouse.isButtonDown(0) to record left click but It lets me hold it down and hover over them instead of clicking on each one. Here is a snippet of the part of the code im talking about :
I uploaded a .jar and a exe file so you can see what I mean [URL] .... -jar [URL] .... -exe
public void update(GameContainer gc, int d) throws SlickException { posX = Mouse.getX(); posY = (Mouse.getY()-height)*-1; timePassed += d; deltaTime= deltaTime();
I want an app that I can use to save the name, address, item sold, subject discussed and date that I visited someone - in a job similar to a sales rep. I would like to be able to choose how to sort the info so that if I sort by date I can see who hasn't been visited for the longest and start there. If I think of someone's name then of course I want to sort by name.
One of my friends says he works with "php"[? I'm still learning these terms] and everything happens online. I would like it to be an android app so it can be done without an internet connection ....
import java.io.*; public class workhours{ public static void main (String args[]){ try{ BufferedReader breader=new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in)); String days[]={"Monday","Tuesday","Wednesday","Thursday","Friday","Saturday"};
I have a program that records and reruns network traffic. It was developed in C and runs in my case under Windows 7 Professional but will run almost anywhere. I have observed a lack of stability.
First I have a JAVA stand alone GUI program that runs the program as follows:
g11_bttn_start_script_capture.addSelectionListener(new SelectionAdapter() { @Override public void widgetSelected(SelectionEvent e) {
I have jFrame where I have to display data from database on button click. There are 4 buttons, first to display the first record in database, last to display the last record in database, next to display the next record and previous to display the previous record. I have done first and last record but what should I do to display the next and previous record.
I am trying to insert a record to a table in my database . I used the same syntax for 2 tables, one does work and the other does not work . I could not find any explanation for this error
"INSERT INTO CustomerRecord (Name, Number, Adress)" +" VALUES(?,?,?)"; //first table working well ps.setString(1,r.getCustomerName()); ps.setString(2,r.getCustomerNumber());
[Code] ....
For some reason one does work but the other does not work it says syntax error near order (table name). I am using sqlite db ...
How to force browser to open/save/save as the file from server instead of browser cache.
I am creating a csv file through a pl/sql procedure and forwarding the link to user once user clicks on link he downloads the file, however if the same thing is repeated then browser returns the old cached file instead of new file generated on server.
i have a jsp page which contains two text areas inside two separate form tags. i want to submit unicode date in one textarea and display it in another. But nothing is working for me. i have to show basically all Indian Languages and english as well. here is the code of it
I have created a gui which accepts username in the text field and once clicking on submit button it fetches user details and throws it on gui via JTable.
But when i click submit for the second time using different username the background process goes well and good the vector that i pass to jtable changes with new data but the values in gui still contain the old data.
I'm trying to right a GUI in swing, and as part of my program, I want to open a secondary window out of the main window when a mouse clicks on the main window. Then, once I click a button on the secondary window, I want that window to close and submit data to the main window (like an info form). I have almost figured out how to do this, except for one problem. By putting a variable inside my form window called "ready," and then in my main window running a loop that constantly checks if ready is true and doesn't proceed until its true, I can create the form window, modify the values in it (currently just one value called "difficulty" that's modified by a jSlider), and then when i click the "begin" button, ready is changed to true, the form window closes, and the main window can proceed. However, when I try to put the while loop checking the ready variable inside a mouseClicked method in the main window, the form window freezes when it opens, and you can't see any of its content or modify it in any way (you can't even close it).
Here is my code:
//form window class import java.awt.*; import java.awt.event.*; import javax.swing.*; import javax.swing.event.*; public class formWindow extends JFrame { private JTextField instructions1;
I am creating a small application.I have a jsp font page.i have a jdbc connection code.I have a sample table in my database.i want to retrieve datas from the database and display them in the view page.

I am building a room management system in Java (Netbeans) and Ms Access. The jasper report is only showing code (source view) instead of design view. The GUI JFrame and Login JFrame are not displaying records in the database and the buttons are not working. Also the labels and text fields are not neatly arranged. The connection to the database is not displaying records.
Connection to the database. COIRMS.java
package Login; import java.sql.*; public class COIRMS { Connection con; Statement st; ResultSet rs; public COIRMS ()
Google shows me how to use file I/O, and how to use stdio, but not how to combine the two easily.
With my *nix command line I could "program file | tee savefile", but savefile holds the result of prior runs, gets read before I parse 'file', and this command line zero's out savefile before the program can read it.
The data is standard ASCII, I doubt I'll ever have 20k of data.
