JavaFX 2.0 :: How To Avoid Scaled ScrollPane Content Panel From Being Centered
Nov 19, 2014
I want to create a ScrollPane where I can scale the contents. Think of a simple drawing program that allows you to zoom in and zoom out.
If I create a ScrollPane in SceneBuilder and then drop a couple of Circles into the AnchorPane all looks good.
If I then set a scale of 0.5 for the AnchorPane Scale X and Scale Y the AnchorPane gets scaled about its centre leaving space between the left and top edge of the AnchorPane and the left and top edge of the enclosing ScrollPane.
The only way to get the AnchorPane so that it aligns with the top left of the ScrollPane seems to be to add a negative amount to Translate X and Translate Y.
In my application I would like the user to be able to adjust the zoom (Scale) continually and also the size of the AnchorPane must be allowed to change as the user add/deletes/edits content.
Does this mean I have to continually monitor the AnchorPane properties and set compensating Translate X and Translate Y values each time? Or is there an easier way to achieve what I want?
I'm trying to implement a scene with a ScrollPane in which the user can drag a node around and scale it dynamically. I have the dragging and scaling with the mouse wheel working as well as a reset zoom.
Here's my issue:
I'm having trouble with the calculations to fit the node to the width of the parent. If I zoom in or out, the fit to width does not work. If I change the window size after running fitWidth() once, the fit to width does not work the second time.
Here is my code as an SSCCE and how it works...
1. (works) Mouse wheel will zoom in and out around the mouse pointer 2. (works) Left or right mouse press to drag the rectangle around 3. (works) Left double-click to reset the zoom 4. (doesn't work) Right double-click to fit the width
My calculations to re-position the rectangle to the upper left of the pane and fit it (i.e. scale it up or down) to the width of the parent are incorrect.
Is there an existing way to bind the content of a ListProperty? Consider the following:
private final ListProperty<Worker<?>> workers = new SimpleListProperty<>(FXCollections.observableArrayList()); public ListProperty<Worker<?>> workersProperty() {return workers;} public ObservableList<Worker<?>> getWorkers() {return workers.get();} public void setWorkers(ObservableList<Worker<?>> workers) {this.workers.set(workers);}
[Code]...
What I want to do is bind the content of the stateWatchedWorkers list to workers. If the entire workers list is replaced, I want stateWatchedWorkers to be updated to match the content of the new list. Put another way, I want the stateWatchedWorkers list to be mapped to the current list being held by the workers property.
I am facing an issue with the TableView in Java FX 8.
I am having a TableView created with data with scrollbars automatically added in when the Window is minimized. I moved the horizontal scrollbar to right and then maximized the window to full.
After this the column headers remained no longer aligned with the content. When I click on any column header then the header aligns with the content.
The Issue is replicable also in case when a vertical scrollbar gets automatically added to a table view with preloaded data...
I have a case where I want to float a modeless popup on top of all other content. Seems like a Popup is ideal for this. Except for the following annoyances:
I don't see any way to tie its position to some owner window. You can supply an initial anchor position, but I noticed that if I drag the frame of the app window containing the JavaFX application, the Popup remains where it is and can actually appear outside the bounds of the App! I find this very disconcerting. I suppose I could bind its position to the screen coords of the Stage, but it would seem that I should not have to do this.If I minimize the app, the Popup remains visible. Rather odd given that when I called Popup.show(Window), you would think when the owner Window got hidden it would hide the owned Popups too. Again, I could probably bind to some property on the Stage, but like (1), it seems you should not have to do this.
I haven't tried this while embedding the Scene in a browser. I certainly hope that these Popups should not be allowed outside the bounds of the browser window. That spells trouble.
I am trying to figure out the best way to load localized versions of FXML content. I know that I can localize strings, images etc. by specifying a ResourceBundle when loading the FXML using FXMLLoader with a ResourceBundle. But what about if you need to tweak the FXML for different locales (eg, adding more real estate for certain elements, different fonts, etc). Is there any way to create localized versions of FXML content? The only thing I can come up with is a naming convention like MyForm.fxml, MyForm_de_DE.fxml, ... and trying to load them based on the locale, but I'd have to come up with my own fallback for specific locales that aren't found.
I have a UI widget, like a table view for example, displaying real-time data. This table can be configured - so it has many properties. The way I would like to do so, is to have a small 'configure button', once clicked, would rotate the entire table along its y axis, and display another panel with checkboxes etc... So effectively, the hidden properties panel is revealed by rotation.
"Write a java application that displays the following patterns separately one below the other.
Use for loops to generate the patterns. There are 4 Triangle patterns.
All asterisks (*) should be printed by a single statement of the form System.out.print('*');
This is 4-different patterns, not 1-pattern."
The first 2 triangles are right angles and is simple to make with a loop with in a loop
The 3rd triangle is like an inverted christmas tree and the 4th one is a christmas tree. ( It's not showing properly on the board so i deleted it). I can't seem to make the 3rd and 4th triangle line up properly it looks like this (the _ represents blank spaces on the console)
_____*_____
_____**_____
____***_____
____****_____
___*****____
___******_____

Notice how the sides of the triangle isn't straight and the triangle looks like its dancing, the assignment requires it to be a straight line. is there anyway to do this? This is suppose to be the output. all the lines of the triangle is straight and not jagged ...
public class myclass { public static void main(String[] args) { int counter = 1; int counter2 = 1; while (counter != 11){ EmptyLine();
[Code] .....
My code for those particular triangle is in the work because I cant figure out how to make it look like that.
I'm using the tableview-component. The size of font of header is greater then that of cells. The problem is: the width of the column bases on the cell with the longest string and if the header-string is longer then the header gets truncated (it shows ellipsis) and I have to change the width of column manually. How could I solve this problem? The easiest way would be to compute the column-width on myself. I can't find any method in javafx, that would allow to compute the width of string in pixels. In Swing there is the FontMetrics class and Graphics class, so it is easy to get the width in pixels. Are there any pendants to this classes in JavaFX?
When i click on the button from bottom panel, top panel need to be redrawn. But redrawing is not happening. It happens only when resizing the applet.
public class Graphics_Chart(){ public init(){ JScrollPane topPane = new JScrollPane(new ImagePanel2()); topPane.setHorizontalScrollBarPolicy(JScrollPane.HORIZONTAL_SCROLLBAR_NEVER); topPane.setVerticalScrollBarPolicy(JScrollPane.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR_NEVER);
I am making a table that is dynamically made but it isn't working with scroll bars. The scroll bars show but don't work. Here is the code:
JPanel pList = new JPanel(); Component pListl = new JLabel("Here you can view and search for players."); pList.add(pListl); tabbedPane.addTab("Player List",pList); tabbedPane.setMnemonicAt(0,KeyEvent.VK_1);
[Code] ....
Yes I am spamming entries into the result object, this is so I can test the scrolling as right now I don't have enough data for overflowing entries but will do soon.
I am trying to get a scrollPane working correctly, but not having any luck. The picture drawn in the center panel is quite large and goes off the screen. I visited URL... but I am missing something vital. Both tracks show, but there is no knob to do the scrolling.
public DViewer() { super(); frame = new JFrame(); frame.setSize(Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getScreenSize()); frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.DISPOSE_ON_CLOSE);
I am having problems trying to get my jPanel to display my drawings properly after scrolling. (My drawings is done using by overriding the paint() method as the paintComponent() method does not work in my case.) My jPanel is component of my JScrollpane, and my JScrollpane is part of my jFrame.
The organization of components is: JFrame <-- JScrollPane <-- JPanel ( <-- means added to).
Situation: My drawings did appear when the frame becomes start, but when I start scrolling the scrollbar in any direction, it starts to eat up my drawing leaving only part of drawing which is not affected by scrolling.
I want my jpanel to display the drawing properly even after scrolling in both vertical and horizontal directions. I did use revalidate and repaint methods in my method for start of the JFrame.
Some Ways which I have tried:
1) I have tried adding this.revalidate() and this.repaint() method to the paint() method which did retains the image, but the jPanel keeps blinking on my screen which is trying attempt to update the drawing in a recursive manner.
2) I have tried panel.repaint() and panel.revalidate() in my paint() method, but it did not display my drawing.
3) I have read from other sources that I needed a listener to do it, but I am not sure how it works.
// Code Use for Listener jScrollPane1.getViewport().addChangeListener(new ListenAdditionsScrolled()); public class ListenAdditionsScrolled implements ChangeListener { public void stateChanged(ChangeEvent e) { jPanel3.revalidate(); jPanel3.repaint(); } }
I am trying to add scrollbars to my frame containing many different components and appearing when user resizes the window with the mouse adds pictures and admin of this online application adds labels or other components.
I want scrollbars to appear when the frame is resized and has components you don't see under so you can scroll down.
If I have for example this code, how i add the scrollbars when i make frame smaller ?
public class Test extends JFrame { private JPanel contentPane; /** * Launch the application. */ public static void main(String[] args) { EventQueue.invokeLater(new Runnable() {
I have been playing around with my code, but how to avoid NullPointerexception.. So my program's point is simple, use Jsoup to scrape html of certain webpage, then i search the things i want and print them out. Problem is, when scraped html doesnt contain even 1 thing on my search list, i get NullPointerException... i understand why, Heres part of my code:
Java Code:
//Things i need to search from html String[] MySearchArray = new String[]{"138","146","474"}; //Search things contained in MySearchArray and print them out for (String Ml : MySearchArray) { Element flights = doc.select(String.format("tr:contains(%s)", Ml)).first(); Elements flights2 = flights.select("td"); System.out.println(flights2.get(4).text() + " " + flights2.get(0).text()+ " " + flights2.get(3).text()); } mh_sh_highlight_all('java');
I have a HashMap with multiple values at runtime. In that map one key has empty value , how to avoid this value to add in a list. some code sample is below:
public HashMap getLoop2Map(Map map, String xslFile , int sheetNo){ HashMap hashMap = new HashMap(); try{ ArrayList list = new ArrayList(); System.out.println("-------Map : " +map); list.add(map.values()); //System.out.println("------- boolean : " +val); System.out.println("------List : " +list); }
I do not want to add the empty value in a list ...
result in map
-------Map : {Free Text Entry={}, Mouth / Throat={Free Text Entry={Free Text Entry=<FORMFILENAME>EditChartPhysicalExamText.form </FORMFILENAME><TAG>"<MUSCULOSKELETAL.PE>"</TAG>}, Salivary Glands Condition={Salivary Glands Condition=MouthAttribute}, Examination Overview- Mouth / Throat={Examination Overview- Mouth / Throat=MouthAttribute}, Tonsils={Tonsils=MouthAttribute},
I'm struggling with that piece of code, my intention is to check for the object I want to add before adding it, so there won't be any duplicate on my list. I'm not sure how could I do that, since I'm working with objects.
Person is a class with few parameters such as id, name, and few others.
I guess I should search for a person with the same id, since that has be unique, but can't get it right.
private ArrayList<person> model= new ArrayList<>(); //... if (model.contains(person))throw new IllegalArgumentException("duplicate"); else model.addElement(person);
I wanted to make a small program to move a small rectangle by pressing the WASD keys. The program works, except that when I hold a key to move the rectangle, after a second, auto-repeat starts up, and the rectangle motion accelerates. I want to prevent automatic repeat to activate, so that the rectangle moves at a constant speed when I hold a key and stops when I released. Here is the ButtonMotion classe :
I have code which query value from database,the use case is the user can enter value as 1,01,11 in database but when the user enter value in xml file he can only enter 11,01,12 in database there is two columns lets say column test1=1 and test2=2 combination of this is 12,which is the value the use will enter in xml, but sometime the use can enter test1=04 than column test2=00 ....
I'm using EclipseLink, WildFly, EJB, postgresSQL and JSF.I'm trying to persist some countries and their localities.So I've:
- Two entities Countries and Localities in which I specify respective columns and relations. - Abstract Session beans for entity classes: AbstractFacade providing basic crud methods and entity manager. - Two concrete session bean for entity classes: CountriesFacade and LocalitiesFacade. - A JSF managed bean named geoJSF. - A JSF page with a form allowing to insert new country and localities.
In geoJSF I'm injecting via EJB CountriesFacade as property named cf and LocalitiesFacade as property named lf.For the actual inserting country and locality I'm using geoJSF.country and geoJSF.locality. When the form is submitted I'm simply doing:
this.cf.create(this.country); this.locality.setCountry(this.country); //<- this throw an exception (unique constraint violation) due to the attempt to reinsert this.country this.lf.create(this.locality);
I disabled all cascade among relations definitions.Based on what I know this.country should appear detached to entity manager so, setting relation the entity manager try to re-persist it.
