There i see an old openGL version is used on OSX 10.9:
Graphics Vendor: ATI Technologies Inc.
Renderer: AMD Radeon HD 6630M OpenGL Engine
Version: 2.1 ATI-1.22.28
How do i force prism to a newer openGL version?
How can i attach the OpenGl display to a JFrame and so that when i close the JFrame is destroys the display? Here is my code so far:
package test.core;
import java.awt.BorderLayout;
import java.awt.Canvas;
import java.awt.Color;
import java.awt.Component;
import java.awt.event.WindowAdapter;
[Code] .....
I had the opengl display attach to the JFrame before i did the runnable. But after adding the runnable the display now shows up the same size as my screen size. I have tried rearranging the
canvas.setSize();
and the
frame.setSize();
but nothing changes the opengl display is still the same size and when i try to close the JFrame first rather then close the display first i get this error:
Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.IllegalStateException: From thread Thread[AWT-EventQueue-0,6,main]: Thread[main,5,main] already has the context current
which points me to my
Display.destroy();
which im guessing is telling me that i am not properly disposing the display? How to attach the opengl display to the JFrame and fix the error above?
I have created two classes. The FrameViewer is my driver class, and Circle is my constructor.
The first problem is, the program seems to be creating both circles, but it only displays displaying the last added circle (in this case, circle2).
The second problem is, I want to pass the color I wish to use to the constructor, but I'm having problems figuring out the proper method to do so. In the constructor, I have assigned Color.BLUE as a default. On circle two, I want to override this color choice and assign Color.Orange. I am not having any luck setting this to work either.
import javax.swing.JFrame;
import javax.swing.JPanel;
import java.awt.Color;

I am new to JSTL and JSP & I am running 2 seperate SQL queries from a java/jsp program and I need to display the results from both queries on one JSP page output.Currently I have java code that passes the 2 queries to a method along with passing the jsp files to output the query results
- the method dispatches the results to these 2 JSP pages using JSTL tags in hope for separate output results:
I need to have a way to display these 2 outputs into 1 jsp page: - currently one just overwrites the other.I also tried using the jstl core <c: tags in 2 separate methods on the same jsp page but the <c: tags just resulted in overwriting one another - The queries run and display fine except I cannot get them both to display correctly.using jstl and jsp for displaying multiple queries on the same page.example: the jsp file that runs the queries:
runQuery.jsp:
<%
String query1 = "SELECT * FROM TABLE A";
String query2 = "SELECT * FROM TABLE B";
runReport(query1...,viewResults1.jsp)
runReport(query2...,viewResults2.jsp)
%>

I am trying below challenge to display first three characters three times if the size of the string is greater than 3.
Say if i send hello i should get helhelhel
if i send xyz i should get xyzxyzxyz
I wrote as below
public String front3(String str) {
if(str.length()==3){
return str+str+str;
}
if(str.length()>3){
String str2=new String(new char[]{str.charAt(0),str.charAt(1),str.charAt(2)});
return str2;
}
}
I am getting error as below
Error:public String front3(String str) {
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This method must return a result of type String
Possible problem: the if-statement structure may theoretically allow a run to reach the end of the method without calling return. Consider adding a last line in the method return some_value; so a value is always returned.
I'm making a tic tac toe program. Currently I have a welcome screen for my tic tac toe game, once the button is clicked I want the main game to open. I have created two FXML VBox windows created from JavaFX Scene Builder. I want to know how to close the welcome menu and launch the 2nd FXML window.
This 2nd FXML window will have it's own controller where the tic tac toe calculations will be held.
Here is the event listener on when the mouse action is performed on the button
@FXML
private void startGame(ActionEvent event) {
}
I have a JavaFX application with multiple scenes. In this applications one scene plays the role of "master" role and the others are loaded according to actions on the "master" scene(buttons,menu items)
The issue is that i need to redirect all the PrintStream activity to a specific TextArea on the "master" scene...
So everything that normally goes to the console to get redirected to that specific TextArea and this should be global,on every scene that is outputting something it should displayed on the specific TextArea on the "master" scene
The code i am using right now on the "master" scene is :
Node node =primaryStage.getScene().lookup("#ShowInfo");
TextArea ta =(TextArea)node;
FXConsole console = FXConsole.getInstance(ta);
PrintStream ps = new PrintStream(console, true);
System.setOut(ps);
System.setErr(ps);
System.out.println("Test");
For the rest of the scenes i am using the Singleton Pattern to keep the pointing to the Specific TextArea
FXConsole console = FXConsole.getInstance(null);
PrintStream ps = new PrintStream(console, true);
System.setOut(ps);
System.setErr(ps);
System.out.print("Hello There");
ps.close();
The issue is that i don't like this implementation so ...is there a better solution
I have tried to implement MultipleSelectionModel with mostly success in TreeView, but definitely with quirks. I've looked at the implementation in TreeView and it's off putting to say the least. Hopefully it doesn't need to be that complicated. For now, all I need is it to handle SINGLE SELECTION, but it needs to be solid. I've put in a lot of println's to see what gets called. Most don't seem to be called. I'm relying on TreeView to look up the object being selected, I'm not sure if that's appropriate. The internal implementation seems to worry about tree state a lot.
It baffles me as to why there isn't a base class from which to extend or reuse? I'm doing this so I can delay a selection (make it vetoable), also to handle drag/drop more cleanly (so target won't move because of drag action).
private class VSelectionModel extends MultipleSelectionModel {
List<Integer> baseSelectedIndexes = new ArrayList<>();
ObservableList<Integer> selectedIndexes = FXCollections.observableList(baseSelectedIndexes);
List<Object> baseItems = new ArrayList<>();
ObservableList items = FXCollections.observableList(baseItems);

I have a multi scene JavaFX FXML application [URL] ....
I have added a TextField to Scene2.fxml and Scene3.fxml files each scene has its own Controller Class with a ScreensController class that loads a HashMap with Id name, Node screen that is defined in the ScreensFramework
class (Main class)
public void addScreen(String name, Node screen) {screens.put(name, screen);}
So each time you click a Button on a screen (scene) you fire an ActionEvent and move to another screen
myController.setScreen(ScreensFramework.screen2ID);
What I would like to do if it is possible is use the value in the TextField on Sceen2 and transfer it to the TextField on Scene3. I have discovered that unless both FXML files are loaded this is so far not possible. This is a desktop application. So how do you create a variable that is GLOBAL and has a life after one class is unloaded or one FXML file is unloaded?
At this point I do not want a database to accomplish this task.I have developed in Visual Basic 6 where I would just declare a global variable that could be used through out the application.
in javafx, how can i implement a composant as shown in the following figure. when i click in the arrow, i must have a menu allows me to do a multiple choice like shown in figure
View Replies View RelatedI have a code to resize a single rectangle. I would like to display and resize multiple rectangles independently and according to my research on the net, the best way is to use an arraylist. So I modified the code in this sense, except ...when I run the code, the rectangles appear good but impossible to resize. I think the problem comes from mousePressed, Released, Dragged and Moved methods. When I use the mouse to resize the rectangle, nothing happens. The code does not interact with the arraylist, and therefore with rectangles it "contains". Resizing is my main class, the MouseAdapter is in the Resizer class (below).
Resizing component; boolean dragging = false; // Give user some leeway for selections.
final int PROX_DIST = 3; Path2D.Double selectedPath; public Resizer(Resizing rz) {
component = rz; component.addMouseListener(this);
component.addMouseMotionListener(this);

I was trying to understand Textures and OpenGL with Java. but the tutorials I find cover such a horribly broad area X_x.Basically I can get a window up, initialize openGL, and draw many repeating blocks on my screen.
I dont specifically care about minecraft. but I would like to learn how to get Many many blocks on the screenand how to apply more than one texture to a block. I cant seem to load two textures at a time without errors. I have a dumb while loop that includes a few For loops that repeat the blocks.I guess I should learn how to use Arrays to automate the block process ? Im not sure. I started reading about object buffers, but im not sure.

try {
Display.setFullscreen(true);
Display.setVSyncEnabled(true); // Drastically effects updates per second, Camera movement lowers by 98%

I have a problem with setting multiple splitpane divider positions. In my application there are multiple splitpanes (one inheriting the other). When resizing the scene (e.g. by double-click or mouse drag) the divider position default values (as set in the FXML) are not taken into account and the application therefore incorrectly displays the divider positions. For example, one pane that should be only 100px wide now spans over the half of the application. Its not very nice because one has to readjust the divider positions manually each time after resizing the window. At the same time, I dont want to set maximum values to keep the layout flexible.
I tried to solve this by adjusting the divider positions at a button click event (..setOnAction(new EventHandler<ActionEvent>()...) but when I click it only one splitpane at a time is adjusted. As I have 3 splitpanes I have to click the button 3 times to get all the adjustments. I am not sure whether this is because the click event is consumed after the first adjustment and subsequent repaint of the scene?
A sample code of what I have now would look like this:
adjustButton.setOnAction(new EventHandler<ActionEvent>(){
public void handle(ActionEvent e){
pane1.setDividerPositions(0.9);
pane2.setDividerPositions(0.8);
pane3.setDividerPositions(0,075);
}
});
Lets say I have a desire to convert and entered value to Centigrade or Fahrenheit and that I have two Radio Buttons to designate the type of conversion with the Answer posted to a TextField on Scene Two from a button click event on Scene One ok Now I would like to convert the value in the TextField on Scene Two to Kelvin and reflect the value on Scene Three in a TextField by clicking a button on Scene Two
lets say I have 4 FXML files sceneONE sceneTWO and scenMain and I created 4 controllers ControllerONE and MasterController
So far I can navigate to the different scens with just the MasterController code below...
BUT because I have two FXML files I can not capture the value in the first FXML file and pass it to the second scene
This project is my attempt to adapt the FXML style code from this web site
Switching to Different Screens in JavaFX and FXML | JavaFXTutorials
Which uses this code to switch scenes
//get reference to the button's stage stage=(Stage) btnS1.getScene().getWindow();
//load up OTHER FXML document
root = FXMLLoader.load(getClass().getResource("ATTwo.fxml"));
But will not permit variable transfer due to scope of variables which reside in two different FXML files

@FXML public Button btnS2;

I've been on this for a while and for some reason I just can't seem to get this to work. I know my code is solid, but it won't display my image. I've tried swithcing the image to different directories and also using different image sizes and types. I even used Orcale's guide to display your image, but still no go! All I get is a blank canvas? There are no errors. I'm also running NetbeansIDE 8 that supports JavaFX and I made sure the project is a JavaFX Application project.
All I get is a blank new window, but no images.
Here's my code:
package javafxapplication3;
import javafx.application.Application;
import javafx.geometry.Insets;
import javafx.scene.Scene;
import javafx.scene.image.Image;

The homework called for me to display it three times - the first one regular, second resized, and the last one rotated. I even deleted the extra images in hope at least one appears.
I am new to DreamInCode! I was creating a game using OpenGL (and slick for textures).
Using Vector3f, I make coordinates to where my camera is camera'ing (and rotation).
It was working... until I modified something. I only added shaders. When I took the shaders off I think I might of accidentally deleted something. Nonetheless the code looks perfect to me.
On the method "input()" everything runs. No errors are thrown anywhere. I have syso'd the hell outa my code. It shows no signs of breaks. I can, however, move elements I put into my program. I am 100% sure that no other class is breaking my game (soon to be).
What you should look out for: I am not really sure about the glLoadIdentity()'s and glMatrixMode(). I am, knowing a good part of, thinking it could be gluViewPort....
My problem: Can't move my camera even tho it was working before.

I'm writing a java program with opengl and I'm trying to get it where the user would select something like lighting on in a JMenu and then it would turn the lighting on in the house/barn... I have a method called LightOn that I put gl.glEnable(gl.GL_LIGHT0); but it just doesn't seem to turn on when I call it from the action performed... Is there something I'm missing from my code that I'm supposed to use instead since I have tried it with a boolean.. So the boolean starts off as false and when the JMenuItem is clicked the actionPerformed will turn the boolean to true and call the method LightOn. In the display method I have what the light is supposed to be
Snippet of code in display method for lighting:
float [] whiteLight = {1.0f, 1.0f, 1.0f, 1.0f};
float [] ambientLight = {0.1f, 0.1f, 0.1f, 1.0f}; //default
gl.glLightfv(GL2.GL_LIGHT0, GL2.GL_DIFFUSE, whiteLight,0);
gl.glLightfv(GL2.GL_LIGHT0, GL2.GL_SPECULAR, whiteLight,0);
gl.glLightfv(GL2.GL_LIGHT0, GL2.GL_AMBIENT, ambientLight,0);
float [] lightPosition = {25, 25, 25, 1};

So I need to create a square and make it rotate when the letter R is pressed and then make it stop when the letter R is pressed again. I need make it rotate using a maths equation that I can't figure it out myself right this moment.
Code for square:
package lab2;
public class Square {
public double [][] vertices = new double[4][2]; //not good to make this public
public Square(double x1, double y1, double x2, double y2, double x3, double y3, double x4, double y4) {
vertices[0][0]=x1;
vertices[0][1]=y1;
vertices[1][0]=x2;
[Code] ....
In the Square code there is a method to write an equation to rotate it but I can't figure that part out ....
I have a WebView and a Javascript that appends an <img> tag in a webview.
Like so:
function insertImg(src) {
$("body").append("<img src='" + src + "'/>");
}
I call this function with the following code:
String path = "file://Users/rod/Desktop/123.gif";
webengine.executeScript("insertImg('" + path + "')");
However, this does not work and no image is displayed.
How can this be achieved?
I'm using Scene Builder 2.0 and have added an ImageView to the parent AnchorPane. I've added my PNG files for the app icon and the various buttons. I select the ImageView in Scene Builder and then crawl the filesystem to the project package folder and select the PNG for the Image. The assigned image is displayed in the Imageview in Scene Builder in both design mode and Preview mode.
While everything else shows up properly when the app is executed, the image assigned to the ImageView does not display.
From the FXML file:
<ImageView fx:id="ivBRULogo" fitHeight="64.0" fitWidth="64.0" layoutX="14.0" layoutY="14.0" pickOnBounds="true" preserveRatio="true" AnchorPane.leftAnchor="14.0" AnchorPane.topAnchor="14.0">
<image>
<Image url="@BRU_PE_B_64.png" />
</image>
</ImageView>
What might be occurring between the compiled app and what Scene Builder generates?
I have i am trying to implement tooltip through javascript, like when we click on an image link tooltip should be displayed and it should have close button/ close image to close that tooltip.like the same way i will have multiple images on page, when ever i click on the images all tooltips should be displayed on the page when ever i want to close that then only it should close through close button on tooltip.can we do it through java script or will go for jquery.

Write a class named FileDisplay with the following methods:
1.) constructor: the class's constructor should take the name of a fil as an arugment.
2.) displayHead: This method should display only the first five lines of the file's contents
Here is the following code I have made so far
import java.io.*;

public FileDisplay(String Filename) throws IOException

First, in my constructor I have taken in an argument and used that argument to open up an output file. Meanwhile, I'm trying to work n the displayhead method to print out information and to read data to. I haven't opened up my input file yet, but I'm not understand how can I read a print data to an output file. in
public void displayHead()
{FileWriter file=new FileWriter(Filename)}
do I make create another instance of the filewriter class to output data?
In simple words, suppose to I want to display some messages on my output file in the displayhead function. Since I already have opened up the file in the constructor, how do I combine that in this method...
I am developing a product where the client needs to display the content of XML in a JSP page. This XML will be extracted from database and will be temporarily sotred in a String object and will then be flushed to JSP page for display. This was working fine unitl now. But now the customer wants display each tag with one color. attribute in another color and data in another color.
For ex: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
this should be displayed in one color. Then
<ichicsrmessageheader>Data</ichicsrmessageheader>
In the above one the tag should be displayed in one color and "Data" should be displayed in another color
<organisation operationtype="1">Data</organisation>
In the above sample tag should be in one color and attribute should be in one color ex: red and value of the attribute should be in another color ex: blue and "Data" should be in one color ex: green.
Here is the sample screen shot of how xml should is currently being displayed.
I have a package (JAR_A) for entity and controller definition, for example:
entity: Entity
controller: EntityController
Then I use this jar in other projects/applications that use the entity.
I want to use the same JAR_A with different persistence unit and different database (in particular, mysql and postgresql) but when I define two persistence unit that include the same class, I have an exception.
So, I comment the other PU and compile the project.
there is a smarter way for use same package with different PU ?
