code is working fine, please check the red coloured lines in code above, here i want to send different value of res_pkey to my-offers according to the user selected row of the table, thats why i am using it in the anchor tag.previously i tried : <c:set> but it updates its value during loading of the page and set it to the last row's value.I want : when user select a row, only that perticular value should be given to tha my-offers
I have just taken it upon myself to attempt to develop an application using java that will implement several features for my aircraft maintenance unit. I've taken a few courses in Java and I am a computer science major, so I wanted to use this as a way to improve my coding skills while also improving the effectiveness of my unit.
Anyway my application needs to have these key features:
1. Access a recall roster that is in Excel format and read the names/phone numbers of up to 200 members. The application also needs to be able to update this information and save it.
2. The application also needs to be able to initiate a recall to some or all of the members on the recall roster via text message.
3. The application needs to be able to receive messages back and display them under each name from the recall roster.
My current plan is to set up a GUI that expands JButtons in a scrollable window as members are read in from the excel document. Upon clicking any of the buttons the person will be contacted individually via a custom message that can be typed in via a popup window after clicking it. Alternatively you can check a box next to any persons button to add them to the list of people to be contacted and then click a button that says "Contact those checked" or something along those lines. Finally there will be a button that just says initiate total recall and it will contact everyone.
As for the interface I want each button to be highlighted red until a response has been received from the person associated with that button, which will then be recorded under their contact information.
I'm creating a web applicaion. for that i want to create a registration page. and this registration details have to be stored in the database.
I'm getting the below error while trying to send the data ...
The requested resource (/cmd/InsertRegtodb) is not available.
Here cmd is project name and InsertRegtodb is servlet name.
Actually the servlet is present is the mentioned address. but it is not connecting to it
There is one more servlet in the same folder and which is accessible from another jsp. But this servlet is not accessible even though i have used same code as it is used for the servlet which worked for me previously...
public class DemoBlock{ public static void main(String[] args){ System.out.println("Demonstrating block scope"); int x = 1111; System.out.println("In first block x is " + x);
[code]....
this is the error I'm getting..reached end of file while parsing. I think this is referred to as either an extra curly brace or that I am missing a curly brace but I'm not 100% sure.
I have to read this CSV file into an arraylist. Arraylist i call weight. The data in the csv file has 200 double values which is the weight of all the 200 bananas. Since the csv file is a string i guess I cannot create an double arraylist from scratch, but i have to parse the csv file afterwards, right? Well this does not work and ill show you the code in a bit, just need to state all my issues.
My second issue is how to be able to print out the the weight items (in this case bananas) next to the weight of the bananas taken from the array? This has to be done by constructor i assume? I just dont know how constructors work with arraylists.
Id like it to look something like this in the output window.
Banana 34,55 Banana 43,55 Banana 23,74
and so on (200 times)
so these are my issues, how to parse and how to print the arraylist weights and the item banana in the output window with constructor. Here is the code.
I'm having some kind of weird problem reading input from a file. It says that my scanner object I'm using to hold an item of information isn't initialized, when I do try to initialize it, it says error variable already initialized. I'm using the scanner to read input from a file whose contents are this
import java.util.*; import java.io.*; public class QudratullahMommandi_3_07 { Toolkit_General toolKit = new Toolkit_General(); public static void main (String[]args)throws IOException
[Code] .....
This is the error message
QudratullahMommandi_3_07.java:34: error: variable holder2 might not have been initialized String holder2 = holder2.trim(); ^ 1 error
----jGRASP wedge2: exit code for process is 1. ----jGRASP: operation complete.
I am trying to merge two files together using the Apache Commons CSV library. I figured it was easier to use this than to write my own implementation.
The first problem is that the output contains the underlying class logic and as a results my output contains a bunch of un-needed data. How do I get rid of this? I just want the column and row data, nothing else.
The second problem is that I just want the row Headers from the first file, but the row headers from my second file are still being included in my output. I used withSkipHeaderRecord(true), but it didn't have the desired results.
I thought of processing line by line using scanner and then split each line in the ":" . But then i stuck, i only need the right part of the ":" so that i can save it to a class e.g. John Doe, 133456593, married etc.
Java Code: Name: John Doe TRN: 133456593 Status: Married Income: 22500 Receipts:
Receipt ID: 1 Date: 25/2/2014 Kind: Basic Amount: 2000 Company: Hand Made Clothes Country: UK City:London Street: Cambridge Number: 10
The problem I'm having right now is invoking the get method in my main. I get a "cannot find symbol - variable deposit" error message. I also am at a loss as to what to do for the first two classes as well as the interest class. What I had for the first two didn't work, so I scrapped itand don't remember what it was.
Here's the code and error message:
import java.text.NumberFormat; import java.util.Scanner; public class BankAccount { private double balance; private double name; private int BankAccount;
I am trying to create this program I am pretty sure it is easy but I am making it difficult lol, it keeps giving me a error, it is saying cannot find symbol - variable keyboard, I don't think I have keyboard as a variable but I may be wrong.
double distancel = keyboard.nextdouble(); that is the specific line ....
import javax.swing.JOptionPane; import java.io.File; import java.util.Scanner; //import java.util.totalInches; //instance variables public class Map{ public static void main(String[] args){
I'm trying to send a text file over a socket, from client to server, but I doesn't work. I will demonstrate a part of the code that isn't working.
The critical part of the server look like this:
while(true) { try { Socket socket = fileSocket.accept(); out = new BufferedWriter(new OutputStreamWriter(socket.getOutputStream())); in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(socket.getInputStream())); String s = in.readLine();
And the client like this:
Socket = new Socket(address, number); BufferedWriter out = new BufferedWriter(new OutputStreamWriter(Socket.getOutputStream())); BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(Socket.getInputStream())); BufferedReader fileIn = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(filename)); String s = fileIn.readLine(); out.write(s);
Now I want the s in the server to hold the same string as s in the client, but the server can't read the stream - nothing happens. I know that readLine() reads until a new line character, but it doesn't word to write and read a single character either.
I wrote a program to transfer a file using tcp connection, where I closed socket since the receiver need to detect the end-of--file. But now I like to extend it to multiple file for which i should not close the socket until all the files are send. I can't find a way for this. So how to resolve it.
There are a lot of variables in physics and it is easy to manipulate equations to find the unknown variable. Well, in my program I have the problem of determining which equation to solve for an unknown. You can see I have a timeF, timeI, time, distanceI, distanceF, distance...etc...variables. The way that I have written the code, it will scan for an empty() JTF and assign it as the unknown variable (not sure I can do it this way anymore). At that point, the value is passed into the correct calculation method to process the equation based on a series of case statements in each method...
I know the button arrays I have set up will process correctly in the checkJTF method...and I will need to account for that...but right now my focus is on getting the program to properly calculate the kinematics equations and display the result in the JPanel.
public class PhysicsFrame extends JFrame { //Kinematic variables private static float distanceI, distanceF, velocityI, velocityF, velocityAverage, acceleration, time, timeF, timeI, result; //Power variables
<%@ page import="javax.print.*"%> <%@ page import="javax.print.attribute.*"%> <%@ page import="java.io.*"%> <%out.println("Printing..."); String filename = "c:/20140505_3_40.txt";//this is the text file i want to send to printer // am using tomcat 8 PrintRequestAttributeSet pras = new HashPrintRequestAttributeSet();
Im running into some problems with the Java compiler. This is my code:
public class DoublyLinkedList<T> implements SimpleList<T> { protected Node dummy; protected int n; public DoublyLinkedList(){
dummy = new Node(); dummy.next = dummy; dummy.pre = dummy;
n = 0;
[Code] ....
I want to use a dummy node in my implementation of the Doubly Linked List, so it will be easier to code all the methods I need to write. I keep on getting a problem with line 14 and 15:
dummy.next = dummy;
dummy.pre = dummy;
// cannot find symbol variable next (compiler error)
I'm trying to do a program that send a single file from a client to a default directory of a Server. The program use the datagramSocket and datagramPacket for the transfer via UDP. The client sent the packet of the file correctly and the server start the receiving but every time the Server class crashes after it's receiving 4/5 packet (exactly 8192 byte)
Then i put the code of the 2 class and the 2 output.
OUTPUT CLIENT:
PROGRAM TRANSFER PACKAGES name of file is : Doc1.pdf his dimension: 11408 byte
PROGRAM TRANSFER PACKAGES START NEW CONNECTION Directory: C:prova Server waiting in port: 9876 Waiting Client... Name of file is : Doc1.pdf Dimension : 11408
[Code] ....
In this point the program go in loop and didn't anything. I don't understand how can i resolve it...
I am trying to run a simple program that connects to a mysql database and prints out some fields. I am using Eclipse.
THe problem I am having is on the following line of code.
Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver");
I get an error:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source) at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
[Code] ....
I have done some research and from what I have found is that I need to alter the class path to pick up the driver. When I downloaded the .msi I ran it and then the program closed. Where the files are ??? How to locate and import the file so I need to get my program to run?
I have included all the of the source code below.
package mySQLConnect; import java.sql.*; public class Connect { // JDBC Driver name and database URL static final String JDBC_DRIVER = "com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"; static final String BD_URL = "jdbc:mysql://localhost/sstbde";
