How To Merge Two SQL Table Columns Into One JTable Column
Sep 5, 2013I have a database table containing two columns A and B. They both contain integers. I'd like to know if it's possible, when displaying them in a JTable, to be combined in one column X. I still need, however, to be able to distinguish them from each other when selecting a row from the JTable. E.g. to store each of the values in a a separate variable. Maybe I can combine them when reading from the ResultSet and use some sort of delimiter ? But how?

Feb 16, 2015I have a NetBeans web project on Tomcat 8.0.15, MySql (with Jconnector), Servlet/Jsp. I need a secure login!!! There is a login page. On successful login, if it is admin, servlet redirects to the admin page, if username is of a standardUser, the servlet redirects to the main page.
For now nothing works. The page is not redirected by servlet, on submit button press the error.html appears and shows response.getStatus() is 0!!! I tested(without login) servlet for username/password check against the DB and it works.

Nov 5, 2014I m new to programming and am working on the college project. I have MySQL 5.6.20, Eclipse Kepler and Apache Tomcat 7.0.54. I m trying to retrieve the whole table from MySQL schema into a jsp. All the possible things i can do, i have already tried, but none of them are working.
The following attachment contains the whole project. I have my sql connection code in Sample.java file, which i want to get working in Fetch.jsp on the Submit button click. Jan 29, 2015I am trying to load a CSS file from a mySql DB table (each row represent a customer that use the application, and each one can set his own CSS file).
How can I convert the Stream / String that I loaded from the Clob column to something that I can use here XXXX

I found alot of examples, but they all talking about files from filesystem, or URLs. My CSS file is in the application memory. I want to prevent the option to write my string as a new file and then read it again. I have no problem with loading the CSS file from database, this part is O.K.
Unable To Get Values From JTable And Insert Them In MySQL Database
Feb 7, 2014i have a problem, im trying to get some values from a jtable (tabla) and insert them in a mysql database, so i scan the table for some values to know which of the rows i must insert ("s" or "n").
I'm able to insert few rows, but when the last row with "s" or "n" is inserted it launch me a NullPointerException and I dont know why.

Like Spss that when you select variables from available list then you can add some of variable to selected list and do analysis.

I tried to omit ID from my SELECT statement, I tried to put Date as a first element in data[iEil][0] but neither options were successful. Data hasn't been changed in database. NOW, everything works fine, except I don't want ID column to be visible in my table.

JTable - Button In Table To Delete Row
Feb 16, 2014My programms is working perfectly except for one little detail that annoys me. I have a JTable with a button on the first column that allows to delete this row from the table. Its working well except when I try to delete the last row of the table, the button stay there and then the table freeze and i can't delete any rows because i receive a "Out of bound Exception" . But, when I use the command table.getRowCount());
Before and after the removal of the line, the table "knows" that a line was removed but as i said, the button stay there. The screenshots in thumbnails show the situation before and after clicking the button next to the "Year" cell.
It's good to add that i'm adding rows in the table from a button outside the table.

1) Once JTable is displayed, each cell display only [0] .

Nov 27, 2014I am building a little application for personal use where I can track my finance. Now, what I would like to get is an always visible JTable "footer" OR horizontal space field attached to the bottom of the window. The idea is that scrolling down/up wouldn't affect it's visibility(like JTable header). Might a picture tell a thousand words: see attachment.
I am wondering, maybe JTable OR TableModel class has a property to solve this problem(I haven't found any)? Or shall I make another ScrollPane/JPanel? Which path of search shall I pursue?

Apr 25, 2014So I have two related tables - Country (Master) Projects (Detail). Country has a OneToMany relationship with Projects. I put a link on my AllProjects.xhtml page. When tyhe link is clicked it uses a data model class to to display the current (clicked) project record (projectRecord object). After editing all the details, the UPDATE button calls a merge method in the DAO class. On the first attempt to update, nothing happens and the record is returned as it is with no errors. If I try updating again, I get:
