I am very Java illiterate and I need to know how would i set all the variables in the first class to null or 0 to make a new method to clear everything.
import java.util.Arrays; import java.util.Scanner; public class studentMethods { private double totalScore; private int count;
My issues is at the bottom, I can't get the clear button to clear, well it clears but it also show the JOptionPane. I couldn't find the edit button on the page
I've got a CDI bean which is a facade for a JPA entity. Such entity has got a many to one relationship with itself and I've got the following method:
public Set<Account> getChildren() { return this.children; }
which is called in a JSF/Facelets page:
<h:commandLink action="#{accountController.destroy}" value="#{bundle.ListAccountDestroyLink}" rendered="#{item.children.size() == 0}"/>I then decided to return an unmodifiable set and changed getChildren() accordingly: public Set<Account> getChildren() { return Collections.unmodifiableSet(children); }
The page now reports this error:
java.lang.IllegalAccessException: Class javax.el.BeanELResolver can not access a member of class java.util.Collections$UnmodifiableCollection with modifiers "public" at sun.reflect.Reflection.ensureMemberAccess(Reflection.java:65) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:588)
[Code] ....
javax.el.BeanELResolver is incorrectly failing because it's trying to invoke the size() method using reflection without correctly taking into account the method visibility (which is indeed invokable programmatically). I'm running NetBeans 6.8, Glassfish 3.0 and jdk1.6.0_17.
I want to work on a project in which I have a GUI where I can choose certain variables from drop down menus. I want to use these variables to modify a few configuration files. I have looked upon internet for a few methods which can be used for the same. However, I am not sure about the method I should use. The files I want to modify consist of 10 -15 lines.
What I want to happen is to add 2+ contacts by entering "a" from the menu. Then I want to enter "c" and have it display those contacts. But it doesn't seem to remember that I changed the arrayList masterList.
Java Code:
public class ContactListApp2 { public static void main(String[] args) { boolean quit = false; while (quit == false) { System.out.println("Main Menu:");
With my code the menu runs. But when the user has typed in the name of a fruit (to reserve it) I'd like it to say 'Reserved' when the user then presses 'V' (to go and view all fruit)I have read Oracle Java Collections Arraylist and from my understanding I either have to code using the get method or equals method but I'm not too sure how to (I did try though)
import java.util.ArrayList; import java.util.Scanner; public class FruitApril { public static void main(String[] args) {
public class Person { private SimpleStringProperty name; public SimpleStringProperty nameProperty(){ if(this.name==null){ this.name=new SimpleStringProperty();
[Code] .....
I have this:
lista = FXCollections.<Person>observableArrayList(); lista.addAll(new Person("uno"),new Person("due"),new Person("tre")); myListView.setItems(lista);
The problem is if I add /remove an item all is fine, the listView refreshes correctly:
Person p = new Person(tfld_textAdd.getText()); lista.add(0, p);
But if I change a value on an item into the observable list it doesn't:
lista.get(0).setName("new value");
I also have a table linked in the same way and the table workd correctly after I updated my Java version...
I have a code that clear old text then add new text to text file afterthat download the file but the problem my code dose not add new text
FileInputStream fileToDownload ; private static final int BYTES_DOWNLOAD = 1024; response.setContentType("text/plain"); String name = request.getParameter("n"); String text = new String(request.getParameter("text").getBytes("iso-8859-1"), "UTF-8");
[Code] ....
How to clear old text then add new text to text file
import javax.swing.*; import java.awt.MenuBar; import java.awt.event.ActionEvent; import java.awt.event.ActionListener; public class NewCalculator implements ActionListener { //assign button clicked number and answer onto variables.
[Code] .....
Also what is the code I need to use to do the percentage and square root calculation in the calculation. Cos I am not sure about the sign I am required to use to do the calculation.
The if statement is where the code to make the clear button (C and CE) work.
Follow the //? FIRST and SECOND notes, then I understood that Java has GOTO as Keyword for future versions and that usually one can avoid GOTO using break inside the cycles, but I need a jump( salto) in the code.
import java.util.Scanner; public class ArrayOrdinati { public static void main (String[] args){ int[] Array = {5,3,1}; int e=Array.length; int b;
I have 5 radio buttons in my gui, I have a reset button which I have resetting everything else but now I am looking to remove the dot from the selected RB when you press the reset.
why CLEAR button not sweeping text(I tried t1.setText(null);, but it not working. And second, in SAVE button is same problem, it is not working. I want it to saved text go to SAVED frame. What i need to write.
public class panabut { public static void main(String[] args) { JFrame f = new JFrame("Buttons"); f.setSize(400, 400); f.setLocationRelativeTo(null); f.setDefaultCloseOperation(f.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); f.setVisible(true); JPanel p = new JPanel(); f.add(p); JButton b = new JButton("Register");
I've got my clear button to work on most of the stuff I want, however I cant figure out how to fix the price to stop adding up. e.g. hit a button image with a price of 599.99, hit the clear button to empty, select price of 599.99 again then it display 1199.98.
I am trying to clear all graphical objects of a certain type(all trees in particular). I have never had any issues doing so, and this method normally works well along with these variables:
Java Code:
public static ArrayList<GRect> historyT; public static ArrayList<GOval> historyL; public static GRect trunk; public static GOval leave; public void deleteTrees() { //clears all tree trunks and leaves
[Code]...
That is this normally worked until I started added more trees to the screen after they had all been erased. What happens is that it won't clear all of them unless the max has been reached, that is 6. It will remove all trees up till the last one if the max has not been reached. In other words here is my screen before the clear all if the max has not been reached(* is a tree, _ is erased): ****
Here is it after: _ _ _ _ *
So my question is, is why aren't all the trees deleted? Why does it leave one left behind?
I'm back with a question about the Black Jack assignment. I've created a working game that works for one round, as well as a reset button that's able to clear the board of the old hand. However the runGame() loop, which checks whether a player has played his hand seems to freeze the program the second time around
private void initNewGame(){ dealer.addCard(); for(int i = 0; i < numberofplayers; i++){ players[i].addCard(); //draws card, adds score and paints card to the board players[i].setStatus(false); //makes the buttons usable in the players[] class
[Code] .....
I know it's probably not optimal having an while loop constantly running to check the status, but I can't seem to figure out why it freezes.
I have small project to be implemented in Java, which, expected the management of a parking.
The project has a class abstract Vehicle, whence derive three classes: Car, Motorcycle, Heavy Vehicles; the cost estimated time for the 3 types of vehicles are: 2€ for Cars, 1€ for Motorcycle and 5€ for H.V.
In addition, in class Ticket will be stored the arrival time of the customer and the characteristics of his vehicle.
Finally, in the class Parking(which provides 80 places available), here it should be added the various types of vehicles.
Now, I though of using an Collection, as Set.. So that they can not, two Vheicle with same license plate.
I am using mysql database and I have downloaded the library also I have managed to get the database connection and query working. I need to know if I need to create separate classes to add/remove/edit items and view items? Do I need to put my database connection script in every class that I create or should I create methods for both the connection and the queries that will be called in the additional classes or methods that I have?
Below is what I have written so far and it is working, I will change the database and query soon to reflect the task I need to do because I have followed a tutorial.
Java Code:
/** * cdCollection.java */ package org.com.mm00422_prototype; //Import for the SQL package import java.sql.*;
//Registering the JDBC driver //Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver");
