Swing/AWT/SWT :: JTable Not Able To Render Rows In Different Colors
Aug 24, 2014I have a jtable , a customtablemodel and a customcellrenderer with the NetBeans IDE. I want to have different colors for different rows. But anytime I run the application , the rows are not painted as expected. The code snippets are provided below.
This code is from the jtable :

When the user clicks import button, it will retrieve inventories under PRODUCTS table which contains product title, SRP and Sold by (input field) under his account. Average possible returned rows will be around 1k-5k. If the 'Sold By' has value, it will show as read only. But if not, it will be editable.
Then the user has a list of product IDS printed on a paper that was sold by his employees and he has to scan each product id and put the name of his employee under Sold By and the price sold. This is a manual procedure..
Then after he finishes encoding, he has to click save button to save changes in the db.
what is the best way to implement this? Is it efficient to use js functions such as datatables?

Oct 9, 2014Im building a program that tracks overtime for employees. Basically there will be a list of employees. Number will be dynamic as different departments will have different amounts of employees.A user could pick the department from a JCombobox. E.g Quality Control. A Jtable will be populated with the employees from Quality Control.
The problem is this.
The way it will work is the list will be in a specific order. Whoever is at the top of the list will be asked if they want to do overtime. Then they will be moved to the back of the queue. If they do the work or not doesnt matter.How would i go about planning a system like this? Specifically creating a dynamic list that people can be moved up and down and stored persistently. URL...

Auto Updating JTable From Database
Feb 10, 2015I'm doing an application which needs a JTable with data from an existing database. I need the table to periodically (I plan to use a Timer) reflect the changes made to the DB (inserting new rows, deleting or updating existing rows) without making the dirty approach of clearing the whole JTable and refilling it again, which is not nice. I need to just add/modify/delete the needed rows, not the whole table.

Feb 7, 2014i have a problem, im trying to get some values from a jtable (tabla) and insert them in a mysql database, so i scan the table for some values to know which of the rows i must insert ("s" or "n").
I'm able to insert few rows, but when the last row with "s" or "n" is inserted it launch me a NullPointerException and I dont know why.

Feb 13, 2014I am working through a text and I am supposed to complete the following tasks.
Your ReadFiles.java class requires the following methods:
Method: check to see if the file exists
Method: find number of rows in csv file
Method: Converts the csv file to a mutli-dimensional array
Method: PrintArray
Method: Return array using a get method
Create a file DataAnalyzer.java. This file will be used to call the methods in ReadFiles.java. Be sure to demonstrate that all of your methods work through DataAnalyzer.java.
The problem is that it does not really provide any information on how to go about reading a file into an array. I am stuck at the third task of converting the file to an array and I have tried several ways to do this unsuccessfully. I thought that I would at least try to get things to print out (line 87) to see if I could get that to work, but all that prints in null over and over again.
