my IDE doesn't seem to recognize that my program is a Swing app.I get the following error message when I run the app: "jtabledemo.JTableDemo class wasn't found in JTableDemo project."It compiles successfully though.Here is the code verbatim:
ActionPerformed and ActionListener on Netbeans...If I create a ComboBox on Netbeans using GUI design, then I right click over the Combobox I can find Events - Action - ActionPerformed... but I can't find ActionListener...
Are ActionPerformed and ActionListener the same?
or...
where is ActionListener on GUI Netbeans? Do I need to manualy write the ActionListener part?
I have dragged and dropped a jTextArea from netbeans palette onto my form. But when I right clicked for Event > action > actionPerformed for implementation, I realized such was not there, unlike the jTextField component. For example, I have tried this but it didn't work:
I would like a small box to be able to enter a contacts information and I started with building it thru netbeans. Now I am thinking I should start from scratch so I understand everything. What should I do? I am having trouble making the buttons at the bottom work. All I would like to be able to do is setFrameVisible(false); but I can't seem to be able to do that without loosing the whole project not just the frame I am working on.
The buttons I am referencing are the Cancel & Accept
public class pa4GUI extends javax.swing.JFrame { String ph; String ln; String fn; String em; String or;
When our applet loads on our HTTPS website, the JRE is rejecting the website certificate, saying it does not recognize the Certificate Authority (which is Thawte). Internet Explorer is happy with the certificate.
With tracing turned on, I can verify the JRE is checking the certificate authorities of IE, but for some reason rejects all of them. The trace shows this:
security: Certificate has failed the verification with the Internet Explorer ROOT certificates security: Invalid certificate from HTTPS server
We've tested several versions of JRE 7 and the latest version of JRE 8. All of them reject the certificate authority. This happens on various versions of Windows and Internet Explorer.
Please note that I'm not referring to the certificate used to sign the applet. The JRE is happy with that certificate.
I'm trying to use netbeans GUI creator to create a chessprogram. However, the default "freeflow" layout is very difficult to work with. However, when I switch the layout to gridbag or border layout, I can't figure out really how to do anything. I don't know how to resize or position elements. Any good set of tutorials for using netbeans GUI creator with non standard layouts?
(I originally used absolute layout, which I can easily add and position elements in, but which I abandoned because i want the chessboard squares to resize when the window changes size).
I am still learning how to perfectly use the netbeans palette. I just created a GUI and want to use jTable on it. I have also dragged and dropped jTable component on my GUI. What should I do thereafter? My aim is to allow user input figures into cells, sum up the figures and enter same into a database. I have not used jTable before in java.
I am developing a program in netbeans forms. I've got to a point where I will click a jButton to print the content of either JFrame or JPanel. I am using Netbeans forms to develop the project....
I want a list of all running application in my java code.I got list of all the running processes by my code but I dont want that. I want only main Application. Like if two application are running in my pc then I should get only those application's Name.
The total cost of your order is: $8.4 ---------------------------------------------------- Notice that the total should be $9.4, rather than $8.4. It is odd because I was able to add a surcharge to my coffee(50 cents), and it does in fact recognize it when calculating the price of the coffee. So why won't my totalPrice in the client class recognize it?
Here is my Client class:
public class CoffeeShop { public static void main(String[] args) //One coffee Coffee coffee = new Coffee(16,"mocha"); coffee.set_price_per_oz(coffee.size);
I am writing a ComputerBaseTest application with Netbeans. I have each question on a panel and I want the questions(panels) to be switched, viewing the previous and the next question on a single frame, but I do not know how.
I only understand frame switching if each questn is to be on a frame but each score on each question (frame) do not sum up to give the overall score at the end of the test. Using multi-frame shows a sign of bad programming.
I have 2 different apps, one of them is a java desktop app and the other one is a c# web app. which uses java applet in order to e-sign. The problem is desktop java app requires 1.5.0_14 and on the other hand web app. requires 1.7 and higher version of java.
I installed both java 1.5 and 1.7 versions on my PC. In order to run desktop java app., I go to C:Progra~2Javajre1.5.0_14in and run javacpl to disable 1.7 and enable 1.5. Then I make a shortcut to javaws 1.5.0_14 to my desktop and add the jnlp of this java app to the target of javaws shortcut. After those settings, the java desktop app. runs.
Now I need to also run the web app which requires 1.7 java. In order to run this app. properly Java 1.5 should be disabled, 1.7 enabled on the Java Control Panel settings. Problem is when you run this web app. the settings for 1.5.0_14 breaks down, I mean all of the java versions become enabled in javacpl under C:Progra~2Javajre1.5.0_14in directory. If I restart my PC, I need to reset the java versions. Is there a way to make this happen without a pain in the head?
By the way, I tried to use batch files etc. but not succeded.
I have this very annoying issue with Eclipse (I have the latest version installed). For some reason, every time I use the "default" keyword in an interface, it gives me an error similar to "Syntax error on token default", I deleted the "default" keyword, the error is gone. The same thing happens with "Lambda expression as well", say I have this object like this :
Eclipse also displays the error message similar to "Method body expected after (), delete '->' ". I checked the Java version I have, it is the latest one also ....
I've used Netbeans IDE to create a simple Swing JFrame container, class NewJFrame.
NewJFrame calls another JFrame with dialog in it. Problem is there is an endless call made to it. Here's the issue relevant piece of code:
//Code for calling class package p; public class NewJFrame extends javax.swing.JFrame implements ActionListener { ......... public NewJFrame() { initComponents(); //IDE auto generated code for binding
[Code] ....
I searched but i cannot understand why run class is getting called multiple times. I have attached the screen prints for both the screens. 2nd screen print(of called class) is very shallow since screen was blinking unstopped due to multiple calls, but i have attached a faint image of it.
I'm deploying Java 8 update 40 to my users and want to know if there's a way to manage sites that prompt the user with warnings about untrusted and unsigned applets?
i'm using the exception.sites file to manage applicable prompts/warnings for our internal sites, but doesn't look like the exception list works for untrusted and unsigned.
is there a way to manage these from an all users level, particularly with a deployment (ie, SCCM)?
We can write JavaFX application in JavaScript using Nashorn Engine, but you have to run application with command line like:
> jjs app_all.js -fx
So I wont know how can I deploy application that let you click on and lunch application or make it self-contained application packaging using package tools of JDK 7 Update 6 or later.
Generally sessions in web applications expire after a stipulated max inactive interval. To my knowledge primarily the reason is if the session objects are not invalidated they keep exhausting the memory. So my question is
A. Is there any other reason other why web applications timeout the user session after an inactive interval?
B. Social sites never timeout the user session even if you just leave them for the entire day. How do they manage sessions? Don't the active sessions exhaust memory on their servers or JVM to be specific?
I am trying to execute a program from the command prompt. I type java -jar zuul.jar (zuul is the name of my project) and I get a message that java is not recognized as an internal or external command. What do I do wrong?
I am trying to create a program in NetBeans GUI builder and I am having trouble creating the 2D array. Here is what I have come up with so far:
private void enterButtonActionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt) { // TODO add your handling code here: double time = 0; try{ time = Double.parseDouble(timeText.getText());
[Code] ....
Right now it is printing what i need but I need to separate columns, not rows.
Currently the while near the end is not working in netbeans. It is saying illegal start of type. This whole section was working before when it was within the public static void method. I moved it to a separate class to try and clear up a, static variable problem. My question is can i fix it to keep it structured this way. Or do I have to put it back into the main method and try to work out the static variable problem a different way.
public class InventoryProgram { double[] dvdprice; // defines variables int[] dvdnum; int[] dvdstock; String[] dvdnames; int count; double total;
I'm working on a University project creating a simple game using Netbeans but I'm totally stuck. I've created a number of classes to perform various methods, such as throwing back formatted text but I can't get them to work from within a Swing GUI created in Netbeans.
The Main method simply creates an instance of another class called Game which then itself creates instances of a number of other classes (textEngine, timer) and also a Swing GUI Class. The GUI appears on screen ok and I've been able to get methods working inside the GUI such as changing pictures and text when clicking a button. But I CANT get the GUI class to recognise the instances of the other classes or access their methods. I've created an instance of the TextEngine class called tEng. So I type this code in the GUI class:
textField.setText(tEng.getPhrase(2));
getPhrase() returns a String based on the number passed in the argument. But Netbeans reports an error that tEng is not recognised as a symbol despit it being a member of the same package. Creating the instance of the class within the GUI class likewise fails:
This is a stopwatch program. Somehow, the run method in the displayUpdater does not get called. Overall, the program should have a start button and when the user clicks start, the button changes into a timer. My timer doesn't count here because the run method is not called.
import java.awt.event.ActionEvent; import javax.swing.SwingUtilities; public class StopWatchNew extends javax.swing.JFrame { /** * Creates new form StopWatchNew */ public StopWatchNew() { initComponents();
find a way to make all my clases in one single tab and not like this: URL....
because at the end of the exam, we have to paste the whole code (as one) in a specified web page, which instantly shows us the result. We need the whole code to be in just one page (like back in C++).
I want to connect netbeans to netlogo. I have a class: NetLogoConnection I want to call the class when I click on OK btn in my GUI. The codes are as following:
XML Code: import org.nlogo.app.App; public class NetLogoConnection { public static void main(String[] argv) { App.main(argv); try { java.awt.EventQueue.invokeAndWait( new Runnable() { public void run() {
I'm running Netbeans 8.0 and attempting to use Apache POI to read various .xlsx files.
Currently, I'm getting a java.io.FileNotFoundException.
I'm using a Mac. What is the correct way to list the file path for my files in Netbeans? Also, is it possible to add the files to my actual project and access them inside the project?
