Not Getting Output From Array But Debug Shows Data Is There
Jul 1, 2014
I am working on a simple JAVA tutorial, not homework, where employee data is taken from an array and displayed on the console. The data is divided by department, age, name and for the Accounting and Information Systems departments, they are displayed in ascending order by employee age. Everything works except I am not getting the output to the console other than the titles. As I step through the debug, the data clearly is populating the array.
package SimpleJavaAssignment;
import java.math.*;
public class PrimeAgeChecker {
public boolean PrimeAgeChecker(int age) {
BigInteger bi = new BigInteger(String.valueOf(age));
boolean prime = bi.isProbablePrime(10);
return prime;
}
}
I am working on a program that accept input file from user and then from the input file, it count the occurrence for each words then put those result into the output. However, after I run this program, nothing shows up in the output file. It is totally empty...It seems nothing wrong with my code... Here is my code
import java.util.*; import java.io.*; public class occurance { public static void main(String[] args){ String inputFileName=""; String outputFileName=""; if(args.length == 0){
For my jsp file, the code editor shows no error, but the projects window shows an error. I built my project again, cleaned the project, restart eclipse twice and summoned cthulhu. But my project still shows an error. How do I find the cause.

I'm very new to java code I'm currently learning about loops I've tried to write this for a statement in the program I'm making but its not working. I keep getting this message
LoanQualifier.java:26: error: illegal start of expression if (salary >0||<=250000) ^ LoanQualifier.java:28: error: illegal start of type if (yearsOnJob >0||<50)
I need to debug the equals method implementation of a class I've made, but I cannot for the life of me get Netbeans' debugger to step into it. I can step into other methods from the class (most of which implement the methods in an interface) that are called in the main method (just like the equals method). I've tried...
-Disabling all the step filters -Clearing the Netbeans cache -Moving the call to the equals method out of the if statement it's in and just calling it as its own statement -placing breakpoints within the equals method as well as on the call to the method -placing a method breakpoint on the overridden equals method in addition to the other locations -Using the shift-F7 version of the step into command
I'm using Netbeans 8.0.1 (I don't know if this is the latest version, but the last time I tried to update everything died and I had to completely remove NB and reinstall it) and JDK 8u05 (I think).
Is it possible to use Java to input data to website, and then get the output? For example, can you use java to input a word to dictionary.com and then get the data from the resulting webpage? I've noticed there are sometimes android applications where users of a website create an app version of the website, so presumably they are working on a similar principal of using java (for android applications) to inputting information (such as when you log into the website through the app) etc. and getting the same output information you would get if you inputted that information into the actual website itself.
The real problem is:
I'm not sure if I'm correct in assuming that this is all just java doing this or if there is some other programming language being implemented to achieve this resultI don't know what terminology I should be using, as I'm not getting any results when I search on the web for how to do this.
I am just learning arrays or rather teaching myself about them and I am not to sure how they work and why. I understand that in order to set one up you do
int[] example1; example1 = new int[]{01, 02, 03, 04};
But I don't really understand is why if you only need 3 data integers, why put the 4th one in?
Also with outputting data, I understand .print() and .println() but I am not to sure what .printf() does and then the formatting after that.
System.out.printf("%3d%11") // and then what you want to print
I have written a program (DOM Parser) that parses data from a XMl File. I would like to create an individual file with the corresponding name for each set of data parsed from the xml document. If the parsed output is Single, Double, Triple, I would like to create an individual xml file (Single.xml, Double.xml, Triple.xml)with those corresponding names. How do I create the xml files and give each file the name of my parsed data output?

Why is it not showing those months updated balance? I feel like I'm pretty close. I guess I should specify that this is supposed to calculate monthly interest for one account and quarterly interest for the other. This is what the output should look like.
I'm trying to make this code's output display like a sentence, since right now it displays downward and doesn' look right.
public class ReverseOrder { public static void main(String[] args) { String phrase = "The rain in Spain falls mainly on the Plain"; char[] phraseArray; phraseArray = phrase.toCharArray(); for(int i = phraseArray.length - 1; i >= 0; i--){ System.out.println(phraseArray[i]); } } // end main } // end ReverseOrder class
I've to read in an array of 1000 random numbers, and then my program sorts them depending on whether the user chooses bubblesort, selectionsort, etc...My code all works fine, my problem is with the actually output display. I have method that displays the content of the array that I call for the unsorted array, and for the sorted array. So at the moment the output to the user looks like:This program sorts an array of numbers by your choosing.
Array before sorting: 148 626 817 4 312 652 643 134 etc... for 1000 numbers
Write a program to create an integer array of size 20. Then, the program should generate and insert random integers between 1 and 5, inclusive into the array. Next, the program should print the array as output.
A tremor is defined as a point of movement to and fro. To simulate it, the program will generate a random number between 0 and 19, which represents the location in the array (i.e. index number). Then, the 3 numbers to the left and right of this location should be reset to the value 0. If there isn't 3 numbers to the left and right you may assume a lesser number depending on the boundaries of the array.
Then, the final array should be printed as output. There is no user input for this program.Your program must include, at least, the following methods:
-insertNumbers, which will take as input one integer array and store the random numbers in it. -createTremor, which will generate the random number as the location and return it.
My code is running via javaw on Windows 7 and XP. It sits in the background waiting for a barcode to be swiped, and then wakes up and asks a question. The trouble is that sometimes (definitely not always), it shows like this:
The code is:
public static void Question(String sTitle,String sLabel) { JFrame window = new JFrame(); // Create a modal dialog d = new JDialog(window, sTitle, true); d.setLayout( new BoxLayout(d.getContentPane(),BoxLayout.Y_AXIS) ); JPanel p1 = new JPanel();
[Code]...
Initially I though it might because I had another thread running which occasionally put up announcement messages in JFrames. But I have taken this out and the problem still persists.
When I open applications specially high graphics applications, the screen flashes with whole black display with a number of horizontal white lines then after 2 or 3 flashes it opens the desired program. What is the cause, is it low graphics memory, physically damaged screen or ?
I am trying to sum up the elements of an array. When I test my code the sum is always off by one. For example if I input: 20, 40,30 it gives me 89 instead of 90.
This is what I have so far:
public static void main(String[args]){ int size = kbd.nextInt(); int [] myArray = new int [size] //user inputs the elements of array for(int i =0; i<myArray.length; i++){ myArray[i]= kbd.nextInt(); } int total = sumNum(myArray,0, myArray.length-1) System.out.println("The sum is"+ total); }
I need comparing two array lists. For this program i am comparing 2 array lists. The list is integers entered by the user the second is random generated numbers. So far in my program i am able to compare the 2 arrays together and output if they are equal or not however i need the program to output even if atleast one if the integers match,
EXAMPLE list one: 1, 2 ,3 ,4, 5. LIST TWO: 1, 3, 3, 3, 3.
Since the first number matches i want it to out put there is one match, so on and so forth with if there are 3 or 4 matching integers. here is my code so far.
public static void main(String[] args) { final int NbrsEntered = 5; //Number of guessed numbers entered final int LOTTOnbr = 5; int[] numbers = new int[NbrsEntered]; int[] randomNum = new int[LOTTOnbr]; //int[] TestArrayOne = { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 }; //int[] TestArrayTwo = { 1, 2, 3, 3, 5 }; boolean arraysEqual = true; int index = 0;
Write a program that shows a square frame filled with 100 buttons labeled 1 to 100. Nothing needs to happen when you press any of the buttons. I keep getting errors i am a beginner.
