View Replies View RelatedI have a program which consist of several classes. The program reads a pom file and parses the data and then writes the data to a static table. The issue I'm having is with writing my LIB file data to my table. In the HtmlDataTable Class Im trying to write the files that are read in the lib directory to the table. My table currently consist of 3 columns (missing jar files,Lib Directory files, and POM file data) currently Im only able to write the missing jar files data to my table. In the HtmlDataTable class there is a for statement where I write the missing jar file data to my table. Im also trying to write the contents of the Lib directory within this statement as well. This is where I'm having my issue. My other classes consist of a SAX parser which parses the xml file, a class that creates my static table and a class that compares the jar files in my lib directory to the jar files in my pom file. . Theres a lot of code so I included the parts I felt were useful. If needed I can include the other classes as well.

How can I Cache the data I'm reading from a collection of text files in a directory using a TreeMap? Currently my program reads the data from several text files in a directory and the saves that information in a text file called output.txt. I would like to cache this data in order to use it later. How can I do this using the TreeMap Class? These are the keys,values: TreeMap The data I'd like to Cache is (date from the file, time of the file, current time).

I would like to create an ArrayList from data types stored in a text file.The ArrayList would be multidimensional with two data types; int, String.
Example text file could be:
4 cahiers grand format
3 stylots bic bleu
5 gommes
I find it very difficult for multiple data types i don't see how its possible.
I am relatively new to JSF. I am trying to display data into a web page sorta like a jTextArea or at least onto a panel that is on the webpage, something similar to that. I can display the data in a particular format but it won't appear onto a panel in a specific location or the panel being a particular size.
View Replies View RelatedI am working on a project named as "Auto Click and Populate". This is link is like online feedback form / surveys which we program. I have a link with me which is mentioned below and there will be a counter box which will hit the link that much number of times.
Inputs:
-A text box having this link.
-A numeric box having counter number i.e. the number of times the link should be processed.
-A button named as process which will INITIATE the process.
Now say if I input 10 into the numeric box; the attached file contain link should be processed 10 times and the question which is coming on the link should be answered randomly out of the options which are present. For ex: When you will hit a link; the first question will be gender in that 3 options are present "Male", "Female" and "Prefer not to answer"; either of 1 out of 3 should be punched automatically and proceed automatically ahead. The punch(es) will be stored in database which is maintained at my end.I have done research and till now found the code for auto click only and not for auto process.
I am currently working on a project where I have a dataTable, containing some of the information for a specific database table, with commandLinks at the side which I need to bring me to a new page(another jsf file that I have to display the relevant information there) and display only the row of data selected. I've been racking my brain about this and have been unable to figure out a way to do it.

I am new to JSP . I am Using Jdeveloper UDI to create JSP Pages.
My main idea in creating JSP to display data from one or more tables.
I created 2 pages called Serverpage.jsp and Messagecount.jsp and it is working fine as expected,
Now i want to create home page and it should also have left navigation menu and it should contain MessageCount and MessageStatus.
When i click on Messagecount or MessageStatus my home page should refresh and have to display new JSP page (MessageCount.jsp or Serverpage.jsp)

I am seen that ASP.NET apps have a handy feature called URL Routing. How will one implement this in Java without the use of heavy frameworks like Spring MVC ? How do you even begin writing a URL Router if there isn't anything available?

View Replies View RelatedIf I have a web page with a lot of data to show, say a lot of tables and graphics, would using non JSP based frameworks result in a lot more individual AJAX requests? For example if the page have 5 tables, with JSP the whole page will be returned to the browser with data for all 5 tables already. But if this is a pure HTML / Javascript based view, then we need to have each of the 5 tables to make individual AJAX requests in order to render the page. Is this indeed the down side for not using JSP?
The reason I'm asking is because I'm considering moving away from JSP to a template based framework such as Thymeleaf or Freemarker.
I have to implement a system where I have to do almost same processing on a jsp page. The slight differences on the present page is based on whether the current page came from page 1 or page 2. So how can I do this?
