Print Writer Won't Fill Output File / Blank Every Time

I am trying to write to an output file that the user names. I have flushed and closed the printwriter, so now I am at a loss. The console output works fine with the formatting, and the file is created, but I cannot get the file to populate. I have the following:

I am completing a USACO online problem and am trying to create a print writer to write to my file(ride.out). I did this:
PrintWriter out = new PrintWriter(new BufferedReader(new FileWriter("ride.out")));
However, a load of undefined constructor errors come up for PrintWriter(BufferedWriter) and BufferedWriter(FileWriter). I have imported java.io.* so I don't know what the issue is. This has worked before.
In the program below I'm trying to read the contents of several .txt files in the same diretory and create a new .txt file containing all of the data from each file. My output is generated in the console however my .text file is blank.

I'm having trouble filling in the blank squares on a Minesweeper game. What I am trying to is, if a user clicks a square and that square(s) does not have a bomb in it, or adjacent to it, should be set to an empty square.
Here's my recursive method below:

I am traversing around the square that the user clicks on with the use of two for-loops. Getting the square at that location and then applying an empty square image. On that square.
The function should then recurse itself and go onto the next square, if the next square does not have a bomb or does not have an adjacent bomb.
I have printed the result of my program into an output file.
For some reason I can't figure out how to get the file output.txt to actually print.
I've tried printing it like I would normally print a file but it's not working.

I am aware that the default value of char is 0. But in this program I am getting some unexpected output

Output: ch: ia[ch]:0
If you see the above output ch is printed as a blank space instead of 0, while the array default value is correctly printed by taking the char default value as index. Why is ch printed as blank space?

I've been working on a saving system for a game I'm working on using java IO writer and reader. When I tried exporting it (as a executable jar) to test I couldn't get it to work, when it worked before. If I had to guess it's the file location not being able to find the file. Which it just looks like :

I don't exactly know how to set it up to read the file. I'd tried giving it a look up but I don't know how to exactly word my problem.

I don't have any errors so far, I am more stuck on how to begin a method that returns the hour, minute, etc.. (the third bullet).
the below program is to read the time intervals (HH:MM) and to compare system time if the system time between your time intervals print correct time and exit else try again to repeat the same thing. By using StringToknizer class. and i have written like this

I've to read in an array of 1000 random numbers, and then my program sorts them depending on whether the user chooses bubblesort, selectionsort, etc...My code all works fine, my problem is with the actually output display. I have method that displays the content of the array that I call for the unsorted array, and for the sorted array. So at the moment the output to the user looks like:This program sorts an array of numbers by your choosing.

I created a random number generator for my course and it works perfectly. I now need to print only the top 15 highest numbers of occurrence from the RNG output. How i can do this?

Well my code is supposed to ask for an input file and then (ex: input.txt), read the input file and create an output.txt file with the anagram for the words in the file. Also it should be displayed on the screen. However my code doesn't display the anagram on screen or the output file!

New to programming. Am supposed to create a program that reads a text file (of integers) and computes a series of computations on these integers. I don't have the code for the integers in my code yet, (i know how to do those), but am struggling getting the array to simply print in the print writer. I have the user select a text file, read the file with a scanner, and then save the computations done from my code into another file. specifically, the problem is as follows: Write a program that uses a file chooser dialog to select a file containing some integers. The file contains an integer N followed by N integers. The program then uses a file chooser dialog to let the user specify the name and location of an output file to write results to.The data written to the output file will be as follows
