I am trying to write a program that read from a csv file called matches.csv ... A single football match can end with a win or a draw: in first case the winner team get 3 points and the loser none, in the second case of draw each of the two teams get 1 point.
In the file it contains the following data.
17/08/2013 Arsenal Aston Villa 1 3
24/08/2013 Aston Villa Liverpool 0 1
This means that a match has been played on the 17/08/2013 where Arsenal scored 1 goal while Aston Villa 3 goals: thus Arsenal got 0 points while Aston Villa 3 points.

I have a unix program that simulates an accident evolving as a function of time and produces two files. I will focus on the first file before getting to the second. This first file has five output variables/vectors (velocity vs time, pressure vs time, etc), which are selected as part of the simulation input. These are the variables I have to put into Excel if I want to view the transient graphically. Where it gets tedious is that, if I want to view a different set of five variables, I have to rerun, extract, put these in Excel to plot. There can be lots of variables needed to properly characterize the accident.
The second file produced is a really large binary file. This file contains all the information that I'd need, precluding the need to rerun to view a different set of output variables. This is the file that seems tailor-made for a Java or something to be able to extract the information. That is, it seems like Java could be used to do this work: extract variable information from the large binary file. Eventually, I would like to plot it too and I know I could use Java there.
I think my steps are:
1) understand the format of my binary file
2) reconfigure the binary file for use with java (is this demuxing?)
3) learn java programming for this application: extracting information to produce something like a .csv file with time on the leftmost column and variable information populating the rest of the columns.

Now the thing is, after execution I am returned the login-page again instead of the inbox, which leads me to believe that login did not take place at all.Also the response to the post method in the browser has two cookies "cdata"; "sessionid" populated with values however I get them as empty. I'm trying to play an encrypted HLS video using MediaView and MediaPlayer is throwing a "can't create player" exception. Searching for a solution all I found was this post from january last year, saying it is not supported and to add a feature request. I looked in the JDK bug system for HLS/live streaming and didn't saw anything related. Is this still not working on the latest JavaFX?

I need to implement a URL which looks something like below one. The Notable thing is that its only one parameter i need to access and the value that's supposed to be held by the parameter is encrypted which may contains characters like & and =.
Example 1.

The parameter v in above url contains value qww78agd=.
Supposing the encryption turns out the following way.
Example 2.

Then servlet will take v and f as two separate parameters, whereas i want to obatain qww7&f==iuy68= from parameter.I thought of taking up all key value pairs from request HashMap and concatenating the joints via & and =. But the problem is that two consecutive = signs as in second case of example 2, its treated as only one equal to in request key,value map. Hence, my other = sign(s) are lost.Is there any way such that i can get query string part as it is on my servlet and parse it using string processing on my own?

I've written most of the code (along with another classmate) to get this to work, but I can't seem to return the encrypted value. I'm also trying to figure out how to separate the digits (or if I'm supposed to) to make the numbers encrypted. The main kicker is that we have to be using methods to return the final values. I am working on a project that requires me to build a database with random access file, representing products, the base product contains a name (about 30 characters), a price (double), and a quantity (integer). I have worked on this project for probably 15+ hours and have tried so many things and feel like I've barley made any progress...
The part i am really struggling with is taking the data from the text file and creating an object array with it using the product class. Once ive accomplished that, i have to use that data to create a random access file with the data.
