What I am trying to do is save the the content drawn to my screen as an image. The following code is my render method and although I know how to use it, I don't fully understand the classes and how they work with is making this difficult.

What do I need to add, or where can I find information on how to add an image? Can I add an image using Graphics? I will import any utils, swings or awts needed. But I don't want to change my code too much.
I get a Base64Encoded image string (GIF format) from an external system. While reading the byte array and saving the image to file, the image gets saved in landscape orientation. The code snippet is below.
So I have scale, and you can change it, like I print out a bufferedimage read by imageio from a file, can I enlarge it by 2x, because my tiles are too small eventhough they're 16x16, should I decided to decrease my tile grid from 40 to 20, but instead change the scale by 2. Can I enlarge the image as it is put on the screen?
Sir, I'am new to Swing Programming. I have to create an application where an image is displayed on one Label. The same image has to be split in parts and stored in database pert wise. Later the user has to retrieve the entire image by viewing a small part of the image. I have already displayed the full image on the Label, now i don't know how to split the image and store it part wise in the database.
I stored an image into MySQL database using swings and hibernate but I am struggling to retrieve that image from MySQL database and display same image in the jTable cell and same as on jLabel whatever I retrieve from the database using swings and hibernate .
I've already tested with disabled="false", too, but only the Session attribute is saved as NULL, though it appears in the form field. The other fields are saved properly.

recently I was playing a lot in Eclipse, testing util classes, randomisation etc. But always when I wanted to keep something for future reference, I had to either comment it out or start a whole new class, copy all the code and change just that little thing I was testing.I was wondering if it's possible to actually save just the 'current state' of the code. The idea came back from my days when I was working with 3ds max and I saved the scene periodically so I could revert back anytime I messed up something.
I was looking into Object Serialisation and JUnit testing for this purpose, but that's just too complicated. Is there a way in Java (Eclipse) to accomplish such thing?

I am attempting to create a n-body simulation using orbital dynamics and Java in school.
I am only in high-school, but I have some programming experience. The logic of this program comes quite easily. My problem is the graphical part, so I was just looking for quick methods to implement graphics.
What I am looking to do, is display objects onto the screen and manipulate their respective x and y coordinates as time pass. I have tried to use BufferedImages and an array of every pixel on the screen, but it quickly becomes extremely hard to draw circles etc. I have also tried the Graphics class and using g.fillOval() etc, but this can also get tedious.
Are there any more efficient methods, libraries etc? And also, how should I use the time variable, a variable that updates everytime the program updates?

I have a simple project to save data to the database. I have successfully mapped the java class with the database table. The code displays no error, it runs very well but it does not save to database, instead it catches an exception and prints out "saving failed". The database is a mysql database.
