View RepliesI am working on a project and for one step, I need to load an array (which in this case, students[]), with the records in another file.
So, should I used the try, catch method?? I am just not sure about the array. I know how to read from a file, but, I didn't get the idea of loading an array.
I've got a similar problem like here: URL...
private void btnAktualisierenActionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt) {
if(sql.conOK) {
tabelle.table.tableChanged(null);
tablePanel.remove(scrollPanel);
// The following fetches the new database data and adds the new jFrame
tableExists = false;
this.getTable();
tabelle.setOptions();
}
else
lblStatusCon.setText("Bitte zur Datenbank verbinden.");
}
this is what I've been doing. It shows only the new jTable when I resize the window.
Is there a way to reload the page after uploading the files with the command
<p:fileUpload value="#{excursion_type.main_photo}" mode="advanced" allowTypes="/(.|/)(gif|jpe?g|png)$/" auto="false"
fileUploadListener="#{excursion_type.uploadMultiple}" update="msg" />
Cause the user does not see the lattest photos after uploading need to do reload to see them cause ajax request.
When the application starts and the index page is initially loaded, dialog is not shown correctly (panel is not shown) and shows that selected==null. But in debugger prepareSelect seems working correctly and selected is initialised (not null). When I reload page, dialog is shown correctly.
Below are facelets for the page composition and backing bean code.
Register.xhtml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

Like the title says: I'm loading a local HTML file in a WebView which contains Javascript. The script works without any problem when the page is first loaded, but when I reload it or load another local page, Javascript simply stops working silently for no apparent reason and with no error or exception of any kind.
View Replies View RelatedI'm beginner with javaFX and i need to change language of the screen. but how to reload the screen when the language was changed. The application have a button where have the language available. I want just refresh screen when the user change language. Here is the start method to show the stage.
@Override
public void start(Stage stage) throws Exception
{
this.stage = stage;
Locale locale = Locale.getDefault();
ResourceBundle rb = ResourceBundle.getBundle("resources/Label",locale);
[Code] .....
Here is the function to change the language(in the same class with start function),the rb is the new ResourceBundle:
public void refresh(ResourceBundle rb)
{
//change the language here
}
1. I don't want to use the resourceBundle to get value in resource file and set label in scene one by one.like following:
this.btnLabel.setText(rb.getString(key.test));
...
2. I don't want to reload the scene,like following:
public void refresh(ResourceBundle rb)
{
try
{
loader = new FXMLLoader(getClass().getResource("FXMLDocument.fxml"),rb);
root = (Parent)loader.load();
[Code] .....
So do we have a solution to just set the resourceBundle and reload the scene easier?

View Replies View RelatedI need to make some operations with a file. I struggle to understand why Apache is throwing this error:
(The system cannot find the file specified)
My file is located in the root directory of the project.
And here is how I indicate the path to it:
String filePath = "default.jpg";
InputStream inputStream = new FileInputStream(new File(filePath));
If I put the file in the Eclipse folder, it works... But I need it to work if I put it in my project's root folder.
In my web application i want to upload file to drop-box. I am getting file name from browser.Is it possible to upload file to drop-box with only file name.
Below the drop-box upload code with java.
File inputFile = new File("New Text Document.txt");
System.out.println("inputFile.getAbsoluteFile(): " + inputFile);
FileInputStream inputStream = new FileInputStream(inputFile);
try {
DbxEntry.File uploadedFile = client.uploadFile("/magnum-opus.txt",
DbxWriteMode.add(), inputFile.length(), inputStream);
System.out.println("Uploaded: " + uploadedFile.toString());
} finally {
inputStream.close();
}
In the above code the place New Text Document.txt we have to provide total path of file.
I have a class with static ArrayLists to hold objects such as Members,Players etc.I want to save the class with the arrays so as to reload them again and hold onto the list of objects within those ArrayLists.
The ArrayClass
import java.io.Serializable;
import java.util.ArrayList;

The arrays within the ArrayClass are empty when i reload the application.I cant tell if the arrays are being properly saved or is it in the reloading from file???

A user can dislike/like a topic. However I have to submit buttons in my jsp file, the issue is that when a user presses like/dislike it should print out on the consile line. It does that perfectly but it prints out both when it should only print out either like or dislike.
My JSP code:
<form name = "ViewTripServlet" action="ViewTripServlet" method="post">
</br>
</br>
</br>
<input type="image" name = "like" value="submit" src=images/like.png onMouseOver="this.src='images/like.png'">

</br>
<input type="image" name = "dislike" value="submit" src=images/dislike.png onMouseOver="this.src='images/dislike.png'">
</form>
Servlet Code:
protected void doPost(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException {
ViewTri vT = new ViewTrip();
vT.user_like(request.getParameter("like"));
vT.user_dislike(request.getParameter("dislike"));

I am a JSP/Servlet newbie currently adding the first servlets to a web site that had been static all along. My local instance worked great but the servlets did not respond on the test instance. Apparently, my hosting service provider requires me to use an invoker servlet mapping.
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>invoker</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/servlet/*</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
Adding this to local web.xml broke the application but the servlets respond on test instance (when their calls are not preceded by another servlet call). A Servlet fails when it is called immediately after another servlet has been called.
What I saw happening on test is URL for first call is of the form:
xxx.org/<app-name>/servlet/<servlet-name>?Id=1
And URL for the second call became:
xxx.org/<app-name>/servlet/servlet/<servlet-name>?Id=1
The servlets are invoked using "href=servlet/<servlet-name>?Id="
How can I avoid the inclusion of 'servlet' in the URL and reset the URL to the JSP page it navigates to after processing of the servlet?
P.S.: I am also trying to enable the Invoker servlet on local so I can troubleshoot easier. I went through the changes to Tomcat's web.xml and context.xml. However, my local servlets did not respond even after calling them using "href=<servlet-name>?Id=". Is there a way I can check if my invoker is active?
I have the file in my project sitemap.xml, which i am trying to write via XMLStreamWriter. My code gets successfully executed as i can see the logs. But my sitemap.xml file keeps blank. Why nothing is getting write in my sitemap.xml file. Below is my servlet code.
@Override
protected void doGet(SlingHttpServletRequest request, SlingHttpServletResponse response)
throws ServletException, IOException {
logger.info("request.getResponseContentType() ::: " + request.getResponseContentType());
logger.info("root path is :: " + rootPath);
if (request.getResponseContentType() == null) {

I can see "END Document" and "Location is " under my log file.
I have a webform on JSP page which has several parameters(strings and integers) values and a file to be uploaded to the server through a servlet. I have a class that do a soap request to a web service , the response is containing a base64 string repressing a file content , how can i send this string to a servlet (maybe any other way) to send it to the user as a downloaded file .
View Replies View RelatedI need to built a file upload service which should be memory effective. I should avoid loading the entire file into memory,Since I may have multiple http request which will pile up the Heap memory. Any effective way to upload a large file(For ex:1GB file) using http Streaming. I need to do the file upload on a single http call. Let's consider a scenario where 1 GB file to be uploaded using 512MB Heap memory. Not Sure If practically I can achieve this or not.
View Replies View RelatedI am stuck with my application. I have jsp, servlet application with jasper report server. When I run the application through eclipse, everything works perfectly. But When I try to run it in Tomcat (without eclipse) it gives me the "Unable to resolve the class file " error. View Replies View RelatedI need to get the html in string when i hit the hit the jsp in servlets basically i need to put the output of jsp in pdf file when i hit one link i need to download that data in pdf file. I am using itextpdf.

I need to convert the sample download.jsp to html so that i can parse

How to upload file to google drive using java. my java code is.
HttpTransport httpTransport = new NetHttpTransport();
JsonFactory jsonFactory = new JacksonFactory();
GoogleAuthorizationCodeFlow flow = new GoogleAuthorizationCodeFlow.Builder(
httpTransport, jsonFactory, CLIENT_ID, CLIENT_SECRET, Arrays.asList(DriveScopes.DRIVE))

.setApprovalPrompt("auto").build();

So in that file object(java.io.File fileContent = new java.io.File("document.txt");) asking complete file path. But in file upload we can get only file name not path.
I made a web app to test the ServletContextListener in tomcat according to the book head first servlets and jsps and used the code
out.println("test context attributes set by listener<br>");
Dog dog = (Dog) getServletContext().getAttribute("dog");
out.println("Dog's breed is: "+dog.getBreed());
in the listener class.But the output is showing the first line only and the second println() is not showing any output whereas my Dog class compiled successfully and I didn't see any NullPointerException as expected in the book but somehow it seems like the problem is in the 2nd line of code only but I don't know what.
I also tried to add a 4th line at the end with println() only but with a simple text even that is not running but when I put that same line after the 1st line, the output is shown.I am unable to see what has gone wrong in the 2nd line of code.
This issue is regarding response from the servlet
I have written a code to download .csv file with records from DB.
To download records i am uploading a .CSV file containing telephone number.
After downloading the .CSV file page is not getting refreshed.
Below is the code snippet i am using,where i am setting response content type as test/csv.
ServletOutputStream op = resp.getOutputStream();
// Set content type of output
resp.setContentType("text/csv");
resp.setHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename="test"");
op.flush();
op.close();
How that page will get refreshed after csv file download or after response.
I have a requirement where a large file (100 -200MB) is uploaded from the client to a content management system. I am using a servlet with Apache Commons File Upload API. Apache FileUpload has 2 ways of handling files,
1) Non-Streaming
2) Streaming
Currently I use the Non-Streaming approach where the servlet stores the file in a temp location and upload the same into the content management system - This is taking lot of time so I am trying to implement Streaming API.
Content Management API supports streaming in 2 methods,
a) SetContent - Takes the file's ByteArrayOutputStream as input -> This gives OutOfMemoryException because the file being large
b) AppendContent - Takes the file's ByteArrayOutputStream as input -> This method can be called multiple times to upload the large file but I dont know how to do this. The Apache File Upload gives InputStream of the file and I need to split that into chuncks and append into the content management system.
How to convert InputStream to 4KB ByteArrayOutputStream so that I can use the AppendContent method in content management API?
