Swing/AWT/SWT :: How To Make One Auto-increment MySQL Table Column Invisible
Dec 8, 2014
The problem is that I populate the table with autoincrement primary key. I don't want it to be visible. I have been googling for hours to find no solution. It seems that sql/mysql provides no solution by selecting all table columns except one. So I wonder, how I could overcome this problem. Here is some of my code:
public void tableChanged(TableModelEvent e) {
int row = e.getFirstRow();
int col = e.getColumn();
model = (MyTableModel) e.getSource();
String stulpPav = model.getColumnName(col);
Object data = model.getValueAt(row, col);
[Code] .....
The ID is used in
stmt.addBatch("update finance.fin set " + stulpPav + " = " + duom
+ " where ID = " + studId + ";");
I tried to omit ID from my SELECT statement, I tried to put Date as a first element in data[iEil][0] but neither options were successful. Data hasn't been changed in database. NOW, everything works fine, except I don't want ID column to be visible in my table.
So I just processed this rectangular array and made myself a table. I want to put a label for each column to identify what the values are. My attempt at this failed miserably, because it looks horrible. Here is the necessary code.
If you are to compile this yourself, you would see the horrible output at the end. I would like to know how to properly align each label with its corresponding column.
From what I can determine check boxes are applied in SWT to the first column only of a table.
final Table table_project = new Table(g3_tabfolder_projects, SWT.BORDER | SWT.CHECK);
However I require check boxes on all cells. I tried creating a table for each column (which gives me my check boxes) but as the number of enries are often numerous and thus require vertical scroll the tables become out of sync (and to the user that sync is important).
Before I knock up some code to try and synchronise the tables I just wanted to check any alternative approaches. The project is SWT based.
I have a jtextfield that I want to make invisible on start. I do not see an option for that in the design side under properties. I am a VB programmer and in VB there is an option under properties to make it visible or invisible.
I'm trying to make a button that will make a panel not visible and then will make another panel visible but i keep getting this error...
test.java:19: error: local variable panel is accessed from within inner class; needs to be declared final
panel.setVisible(false); ^ 1 error
Java Code:
import java.awt.*; import java.awt.event.*; import javax.swing.*; public class test{ public static void main(String[] args){ JFrame test = new JFrame("Test"); test.setSize(600,400);
How would you set a column in a JTable to make it unable to gain focus i.e. select the next column on the same row or ignore the command completely when selecting a column that should not be able to be gained focus on?
I have to write a resize method so that when my Bucket gets to a certain point, then it resizes the bucket when it is called. What is happening is, I am getting strange results when I run the method. My mean bucket length should be at 2.5 for the last insertion, but I am getting something like 0.1346. Here is my dictionary class
// The "Dictionary" class. // The Dictionary class implemented using hashing. Hash buckets are used. A dictionary contains a set of data elements with corresponding keys. Each element is inserted into the dictionary with a key. Later the key can be used to look up the element. Using the key, an element can be changed or it can be deleted from the dictionary. There is also an operation for checking to see if the dictionary is empty.
package dictionary; public class Dictionary { protected final static int MAX_BUCKETS = 1000; // number of buckets protected DictHashEntry[] buckets; // the bucket array private int collisionCount = 0;
I have a jtable. the fields are like Product_code,Product_name,Qty,Rate in my java program.. now i want to do is when i press a first letter in my jtable under Product_name like "P" it will display the reminding Product_name which will have the starting letter of "P" like pen, pencil, peper like this i want to populate in my jtable.
I have a combobox with this PopupMenuListener. All works fine, except that the popupMenuWillBecomeInvisible method does not capture the selection made and neither does it show the selection.
PopupMenuListener pmlMqMessagePurged = new PopupMenuListener() { @SuppressWarnings("unchecked") public void popupMenuWillBecomeVisible(PopupMenuEvent arg0) { try { JdbcSqlServerDataSource ds = new JdbcSqlServerDataSource( DbConnectionURL.UToolDbHostName, 0,
[Code] .....
The popupMenuWillBecomeInvisible does fire but the System.out.println() returns 'nul'l as answer to the value i have selected from the combobox.
1- Take information from distinct columns from two different tables - OK 2- Insert this information into a new table.
I have created a ArrayList and inserted all the information that I need but now I am trying to put this ArrayList into the new table and I am not sure how to do it. I have done research and tests but unsuccessfully.
I've 2 tables in my MySql DB,Employees and Assets & I want to pick 2 columns Employees and one column from Assets,then how would I display them into a JTable??
I m new to programming and am working on the college project. I have MySQL 5.6.20, Eclipse Kepler and Apache Tomcat 7.0.54. I m trying to retrieve the whole table from MySQL schema into a jsp. All the possible things i can do, i have already tried, but none of them are working.
The following attachment contains the whole project. I have my sql connection code in Sample.java file, which i want to get working in Fetch.jsp on the Submit button click. But it shows the tomcat error as localhost:8080/Sample HTTP Status 404-/Sample ; type Status report; message /Sample; Description The requested resource is not available.

I am trying to load a CSS file from a mySql DB table (each row represent a customer that use the application, and each one can set his own CSS file).
How can I convert the Stream / String that I loaded from the Clob column to something that I can use here XXXX
scene().getStylesheets().add( XXXX );
I found alot of examples, but they all talking about files from filesystem, or URLs. My CSS file is in the application memory. I want to prevent the option to write my string as a new file and then read it again. I have no problem with loading the CSS file from database, this part is O.K.
How do i make the 'date' column show only the date and 'timeIn' and 'timeOut' column only show the time. In my database table my 'date' column is a date type and 'timeIn' and 'timeOut' column is time.
I have a database table containing two columns A and B. They both contain integers. I'd like to know if it's possible, when displaying them in a JTable, to be combined in one column X. I still need, however, to be able to distinguish them from each other when selecting a row from the JTable. E.g. to store each of the values in a a separate variable. Maybe I can combine them when reading from the ResultSet and use some sort of delimiter ? But how?
How to catch the event when table view's column are re-positioned. Basically when the column is re-positioned from 1 position to 5 position , i want to do update the db.
I am working on a project named as "Auto Click and Populate". This is link is like online feedback form / surveys which we program. I have a link with me which is mentioned below and there will be a counter box which will hit the link that much number of times.
Inputs:
-A text box having this link. -A numeric box having counter number i.e. the number of times the link should be processed. -A button named as process which will INITIATE the process.
Now say if I input 10 into the numeric box; the attached file contain link should be processed 10 times and the question which is coming on the link should be answered randomly out of the options which are present. For ex: When you will hit a link; the first question will be gender in that 3 options are present "Male", "Female" and "Prefer not to answer"; either of 1 out of 3 should be punched automatically and proceed automatically ahead. The punch(es) will be stored in database which is maintained at my end.I have done research and till now found the code for auto click only and not for auto process.
I have swing UI designed and I want the components to resize when the frame is manually resized. The design is as shown in the fig Project UI.jpg
The panel 4 and panel 5 will change their contents according to the list item clicked. Panel 4 just has text area but panel 5 a panel with numerous components as label, combo box, text field,check box will be present.Now if the frame resizes, I won't all the components to resize according to the frame size.
I have a requirement where in my primefaces datatable ,the filterMatchMode attribute(like any part of field,whole field) needs to be selected by the user by select menu .
To achieve this i have declared a variable in my viewscoped managed bean as filterCriteria and set the filterMatchMode attribute as filterMatchMode="#{beanName.filterCriteria}".The bean variable is getting set in the managed bean on submit but the filtering is not happening,i am getting empty message.
Also when i remove the keyed in value from filter box the data table is not restored which otherwise must be restored in normal situations. I have used and modified the example code given in primefaces showcase here.The code snippet is as below
<h:form id="tblFrm"> <h:selectOneMenu id="filterOptions" value="#{dtFilterView.filterOption}" required="true" requiredMessage="You must select an option!"> <f:selectItem id="hd1" itemLabel="Select" itemValue="#{null}" />
I have a swing application that gets football scores from a website using Jsoup.
When the "Get Scores" button is pressed, the scores are printed to a JTextArea with a JScrollPane.
I have also used a SwingWorker to update the scores every couple of seconds.
My problem is that every time the JTextArea updates, the JScrollPane scrolls back to the top of the text area. I wan the scroll bar to stay where the user left it.
Here is my code (The update is currently set to update every 1 second so you can see what the scroll bar is like).
import java.awt.*; import java.awt.event.*; import javax.swing.*; import org.jsoup.Jsoup; import org.jsoup.nodes.Document; import org.jsoup.select.Elements; public class frame extends JFrame {
I am stuck and having a problem trying to find what i believe is a simple fix but can't wrap my head around it. For class I needed to make a table that prints out Sin,Cos,Tan for angles in steps of 5 to 180. The problem is in my output with the first couple lines of the table. for angle 5.0 the Sin(.0872) Cos(.9962) and Tan (.0875) are being displayed on the angle line 10.0
public class TrigTable { public static void main(String[] args) { double angle = 0; double sin =0; double cos = 0; double tan = 0;
System.out.println("Angle Sin Cos Tan"); // Table header for the values
[Code] ....
Here is the first couple lines of output:
Angle Sin Cos Tan ----- --- --- --- 0.0 0.0 1.0 0.0 5.0 0.0 1.0 0.0 10.0 0.0872 0.9962 0.0875 15.0 0.1736 0.9848 0.1763 20.0 0.2588 0.9659 0.2679
I've got another project for a course and am stuck. I've debugged and tried to figure out where it is breaking, but I just can't find it. I've used this connection code block as well as the contstructors before, but this just won't work. I've got a tab that should send all of the information to a MySql database upon the click of 'Add Employee'. I've given my connection string, the addEmployee(); code, and if needed I can include the subclass code. I've got a superclass 'Employee' and a subclass 'Salaried' that uses four attributes from 'Employee'.
private void btnAddActionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt) { addEmployee(); } public void addEmployee() { int socialSecurity = 0; boolean error = false;
