Swing/AWT/SWT :: Procedure For Detecting A Unique Hardware ID Of Any Computer Using Java
Apr 8, 2014
I need to know the procedure for detecting a Unique Hardware ID of any computer using Java. All I want to do is once the software application is installed should not get installed using the same key...In short I want to do license for my application.
In the method mouseClicked(MouseEvent me) the co-ords of the click are obtained.
* if they are within the confines of the rectangle rect, console output System.out.println("inside box") is displayed * in either case the click co-ords are displayed in the console
I'm getting the co-ords of the mouse clicks but no message when the click is inside the box
import java.awt.*; import java.awt.event.MouseEvent; import java.awt.event.MouseListener; /* Experiment 04 was successful. So now (Experiment 05) I must try and see if I can identify mouse clicks that occur within the rectangle. */
public class AFrame extends Frame implements MouseListener { ARectangle rect; public AFrame(ARectangle rect) {
I know there are Java graphics classes, and how to use them to draw images in a window, but how do those classes interact with the screen to create the image? At the very base of it all, what is the code that is passing the computer the data to display on its screen? I'm asking because I've seen several ways to do Graphics/GUIS, a lot of them involve the Graphics class, but what is it inside all of that that that makes it work? Also, is everything else involving graphics (any other graphics libraries people write) pretty much "on top" of the Graphics class or is there something else within it more basic that is being used?
I want a completely unique GUI with unique buttons, like I could make it a giraffe if I wanted to! (not going to, but a giraffe seemed like a pretty irregular shape) ....
I am new to Java Stored Procedures. There is a PL/SQL package in our legacy application(Oracle 9i) which pulls data from Oracle 8i source database through a DB link. Now we have upgraded our databas to Oracle 11g R2 from 9i. So the DB lint to Oracle 8i will no longer work in 11g. Hence I have created a Java stored procedure that establishes JDBC thin connection to the source 8i database. I have loaded the java stored procedure in the database using loadjava and have created a call specifaction.
I have called this java stored procedure inside the PL/SQL package. Now while executing the PL/SQL package, it takes the default driver ojdbc6.jar to establish JDBC connection and fails to connect to the 8i database giving ArrayIndexOutOfBounds Exception. While running the code in the linux application server with classes12.jar the code succeeds. But when the same is called in the database it fails.
1. How can I make my PL/SQL call use classes12.jar while calling the Java Stored Procedure?
2. How can I load the jar file(which includes my classes and the classes12.jar) into the datase as one object? (When I tried to load the whole jar, in database the classes and dependent jar loaded separately)
3. Is there a way to use classpath while calling the Java Stored Procedure like how we do from Unix?
I have two separate java Program that run on the same computer : Program -1 & Program-2 .
Explain Program-1 :
Name of Program -1 is “InputFrame” that is a simple frame that contain a JTextField and a Button and a JTextArea .
Explain Program 2 : Name of Program-2 is “OutputFrame” that is a simple frame that contain a simple JTextArea that this JTextArea is a Instance object from a class with name of “DisplayFrame” .
This instance object from class of “DisplayFrame” added to frame of “OutputFrame”.Now I want run both Program 1 & 2 simultaneously in the same computer and when I enter a text in JTextField in Program-1 and after click on the Button “OK” that Text Entered in this JTextField In addition to JTextArea in Program-1 display In JTextArea in Program-2 .
I do not want use a share file between two Program-1 and -2 Or DataBase .I want if Program-1 run but Program-2 is not running and i enter a text in JTextFeild in Program-1 , after running Program-2 that Entered Text Displaye in JTextArea in Frame of Program-2 .(Offline Message) .Both Source code of Program-1 and Program-2 is Attached .
I am unable to open Pogo Poker with out receiving an error message saying "Oops, Java is not detected on your computer" (or something similar). I have reinstalled it several times and get the same results.
I'm new to Java. I need to run a SQL server stored procedure(that creates a unique job number) from Oracle SQL Developer (JDBC) in Java. The same Java code will be used in Applescript to run the SP. I found a code snippet online with the similar requirement. How to embed my SP in below code snippet? Below is the Stored Procedure and Code Snippet:
SP
EXEC Int.dbo.GetNewJobNumber '6852', 'Test Job', 'Manual SQL Query' 6852- CustomerCode, Test Job - Job Title, Manual SQL query - Shows how new job number was created.
I have a problem about this numeric or value error on my java class. Whenever I am calling for the procedure in callable statement it says that error. I don't know what is the problem with my sql code because I;ve tried running it on database alone and it runs perfectly. The results that I need came out fine. But when I'm already calling it in java that error appears. But I tried on finding the line that the said error is coming from and here is the code...
create or replace PROCEDURE RENTING (P_NNAME IN VARCHAR2, P_ADD IN VARCHAR2, P_PHONE IN NUMBER,
I am looking for a program to generate a unique alphanumerical identifier that is not too long; for example would start out with 6 digits like a licence plate or a postal code ex: AAA001 and use up all the possible combinations until 999ZZZ (just an example) and then when the possibilities are exhausted a 7th digit is added and so on. It matters not if they are sequential, the identifier just needs to be unique and not be too hard to remember (also i don't want to use ip adress or any personal identification). How I can accomplish this using java.
I want to get current Computer CPU usage of my computer and display it in Console View of Eclipse? How can I achieve this?
My template code is:
Java Code: public class GetCPUUsage{ public static void main(String[] args){ System.out.println("CPU USAGE IS: ??????"); } } mh_sh_highlight_all('java');
I added ??? as placeholder for CPU usage because I do not know how to retrieve RAM usage by Java.
Is it a good idea to use the date and time with the first or last few values of the session ID. Or should I just use the complete session ID value for my "unique id"?
I wrote a Chess game that uses socket to connect to another computer, and allow player vs player and player vs computer game sessions.
However, there is a problem which I noticed.
When you get the IP address of the computer in which the program is running, you are not getting the computer's actual IP, you are getting the Router's IP.
Is there a way to get around this.
So the problem is that when I go to another computer, located in a different house or lets say from my school, the program cannot connect back to my home IP, because it uses the router's ip, not the computer's ip I am running the server program.
Is there a way to get the Computer's IP, not the router's ip when summoning or invoking the get IP address method from the socket class?
When I say that the socket class is acquiring the router's ip, well that's done without my interfering...I don't know why it does that, it is somehow recognizing the router and not the computer.
The thing is that the server program is written that any client program is able to connect to the home server.
But when I run the program from a different location other than the current home, the sockets don't connect because it is somehow recognizing the router's ip not the computer's ip.
I have a .csv file ,and I have written a jsp code which uploads csv file to a local folder . Now I want to upload that csv file to database using stored procedure. Below I have included the code which uploads the csv to database.
I am trying to create a class to read data from the JOptionPane. I am trying to create a general procedure and then be able to overload it using the rest. Basically I just want to call the procedure readString with options and without options while verifying that the user entered the correct information.
Java Code: public class BankIO { public static final Object[] mainMenu = {"1. Create Account", "2. Delete Account", "3. Update Account", "4. Display Information", "5. Quit"}; public static final String APPLICATION_NAME = "Banking Pro";
I am attempting to count the unique strings (a.k.a flowers) in the array along with a count of any duplicates. An example is embedded in my code below. I've only pasted the part of the program I am having trouble with. I can't figure out what I am doing incorrectly.
private void displayFlowers(String flowerPack[]) { // TODO: Display only the unique flowers along with a count of any duplicates /* * For example it should say
I'm planning to make a unique news app for android (maybe iOS later) and I am fairly experienced in Java. Im thinking to most likely use RSS feeds, but am unaware how to implement them into JAVA.
Say I have a class called ClassA which I want to hold my data. Now inside ClassA want to hold instances of a class lets call ClassB. So far we are here.
import blah.B public class A { private B myB; (Getters setters etc) public String getBString() { B.getString(); } }
However I want to have multiple extensions of ClassB which have UNIQUE static variables.
public class B-1 extends B { private static String mString; private static int mInt; }
The problem I have run into is I can't have subclasses with their own static variables. I need the A class to hold any type of B class. How can I manage this?meant
for my class we have to make a rock paper scissors game using GUI boxes. Everything is working fine I'm just having trouble displaying what the computer chose. In other words, after the user selects Rock, paper or scissors, the scoreboard just pops up displaying the score. Here's the last working program before I started tinkering with it.
// your code goes here import java.awt.event.ActionEvent; import java.awt.event.ActionListener; import javax.swing.Icon;
question: A stored procedure to insert records into deliveries table HINT create stored procedure with parameters for each field in the deliveries table for ex customer address, phone, email and receivers’s address etc this is my answer, this store procedure right or wrong. if wrong, can you share with me
create or replace PROCEDURE ADD_ORIENT ( EXCUSTOMER_NAME IN VARCHAR2 , EXCUSTOMER_PHONE IN VARCHAR2 , EXCUSTOMER_EMAIL IN VARCHAR2 , EXCUSTOMERRECEIVERADDRESS IN VARCHAR2 ) AS BEGIN NULL; END ADD_ORIENT;
I have a very complex oracle stored procedure that searches and retrieves some data. The procedure returns an output parameter - an oracle cursor. I execute the procedure by JDBC:
The problem is, the queries can sometimes take quite long (few minutes) and i would like user to be able to cancel the query anytime by clicking button. I have reference to stmt object, but unfortunatelly calling stmt.cancel() (from other thread) has NO EFFECT.
On the other hand when i change the CallableStatement sql to some query like:
CallableStatement stmt = conn.prepareCall("select * from all_objects");
I get "java.sql.SQLTimeoutException: ORA-01013: user requested cancel of current operation" after calling stmt.cancel()
- so thats the right reaction.
Does that mean than i cannot cancel stored procedure call via jdbc, but only simple select statements? I guess i could cancel the query by oracle kill session, but i use connection pooling (jboss) and i have plenty of sessions for the same user existing.
Database Product Version is Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.4.0 - 64bit Production JDBC Driver Version is 11.2.0.4.0
I found out what my next java class project is, and i am trying to get a head start on it. It is a simple address book. it needs to have 4 choices that get cycled through until quit is chosen:
1. add business contact 2. add personal contact 3. display contacts 4. quit
I have made an abstract contact class with a personal subclass and business subclass(all 3 are required). they have all been made, with set/get methods(the wonders of encapsulation and polymorphism have finally hit home!). The main program needs to add a new subclass object when chosen, and it needs to accept and store contacts by type
So, i am figuring 2 object arraylists for business/personal.
My question is: how do you create an object without having a name for it already programmed? Does it even need to have a unique name, since it would be stored in a seperate index and/or arraylist?
I have a class called Sprite which extends its several subclasses. Therefore, there are a lot of different Sprite classes, the thing is however, most of those subclasses have unique types of variables which I want to only be included in those particular subclasses, not anywhere else. For instance, I might have a variable measuring distance in one subclass, and in another subclass there might be a height variable inherent. I don't want the first subclass to have both variables, neither the second or the main class. Because before I initialize my subclasses, I need to create the constructors of those subclasses in the main Sprite class first because it doesn't have the unique variables which those classes consist of. How do I prevent that? Now I have to create the unique constructors and variables for every subclass, when I only want them in their associated classes.
