Swing/AWT/SWT :: Simple GUI Task - Draw Pie Chart With Different Colors
Jan 31, 2014
Simple gui task. it meant to draw pie chart with different colors. i can't seem to find a mistake in it. It works if i put in g2g.draw(arc) i know arcs overlaps a bit due int conversion, but that's ok.
I have a program I wrote long ago. I change colors of buttons at times. Here is the code:
for(int Player=0; Player < 8; Player++){ //make them all background dealerLabels[Player].setBackground(new java.awt.Color(212,208,200)); } //Now make the new dealer green dealerLabels[dl].setBackground(new java.awt.Color(51, 255, 0));
The color of the buttons has always changed under XP but when I run the program on Windows 8 only the edges of the buttons change.
I have in my application a button that when it is pressed, runs a long running task (usually takes a couple of seconds....).
My problem is that while the task runs, I want to stop the button from receiving clicks. Unfortunately this is something I have not achieved.
I have tried creating a new thread and calling the long running method, and using the Display.geCurrent().asyncExec...
Examples of what I have tried so far:
myButton.addSelectionListener(new SelectionAdapter() { @Override public void widgetSelected(SelectionEvent e) { if (myList.size() > 0) { myButton.setEnabled(false); myButton.setGrayed(true);
[Code] .....
In both cases, while the button is disabled and the cursor busy, if the user clicks the button, the long running method is ran several times - and this is what I want to avoid.
so i'm supposed to create a jframe with only 1 button. each time you push the button it is supposed to go from red to green to blue to gray and back to red starting over. i can get is the background to change on the first click, then the button is useless for eternity. here is my code:
import java.awt.*; import javax.swing.*; import java.awt.event.*; public class Exercise2_59 extends JFrame implements ActionListener { JButton change;
I have a jtable , a customtablemodel and a customcellrenderer with the NetBeans IDE. I want to have different colors for different rows. But anytime I run the application , the rows are not painted as expected. The code snippets are provided below.
public class CustomTableCellRenderer2 extends DefaultTableCellRenderer{ @Override public Component getTableCellRendererComponent (JTable table, Object obj, boolean isSelected, boolean hasFocus, int row, int column) { Component cell = super.getTableCellRendererComponent( table, obj, isSelected, hasFocus, row, column);
[Code]...
This is from the Table Model.
public class DuesTableModel extends AbstractTableModel implements TableModelListener { private List<List<Object>> dataList = new ArrayList<>(); private String[] header = { "ID"," PAYMENT YEAR" , "AMOUNT"}; // Payment year is a date datatype private int minRowCount = 5;
I currently have the code set up to iterate through objects and keep track of them but how do I do the same and draw the objects on the panel window? I'm confused on what to do and how to start it.
Here's the code I have so far, the 'Car' which I want to draw extends to another class which extends to GameObject. I currently have a 'draw()' method under the 'Car' class but nothing in the 'draw()' method yet. From what I understand i'm suppose to have a 'draw()' method under 'GameObjects' class also?
public class MapView extends JPanel implements IObserver, ActionListener{ JPanel myPanel; private Timer timer = new Timer(5, this); int x = 0; int moveX = 2; public MapView(){ super.setBorder(BorderFactory.createTitledBorder("Map:"));
[code]....
Mostly I don't understand how to go through the iterator again to paint the objects. Wouldn't I need to put another iterator under 'paintComponent()' or can it be done under 'update()' ?
how to get some shapes from the GameObjects onto my panel.
one of the java swing challenge I am facing. Problem statement: there are two JPanels panel 1 and panel 2 placed on a JFrame one below the other as panel 2 below panel 1. Now, I need to put a JButton in any one of the panels such that this JButton displays half in panel 1 and half in panel 2.
I'm trying to draw 3 triangles 'on top' of each other to give appearance of a tree. My code is below and struggling with how to set my x/y cords correctly.
Also I've drawn a rectangle under a new class and that should then be appearing in the south location of my border layout (south) - but it's not.
import javax.swing.*; import java.awt.*; public class Christmas1 extends JFrame { JPanel titlePanel; JLabel title;
I coded up a simple applet and some html with an applet tag and it tested out OK using the applet viewer. But it doesn't do anything (except draw a grey empty box 100x200) when executed from the application server. For the applicaton server test, I put the applet tag in the HTML Body of the JSP page i.e.
I'm just starting to learn Java GUI. I'm trying to make a simple GUI that will update dynamically but having trouble ending the loop correctly.The Currently I've got the GUI updating and stopping, but the Test class method loop does not terminate correctly, it continues to count.
import java.awt.*; // Using AWT container and component classes import java.awt.event.*; // Using AWT event classes and listener interfaces import java.util.Timer; import java.util.TimerTask;
I am a beginner with Java. I have never used SWING before but I have to use it now and I am clueless. I don't know if what I am doing is right.I need to create a simple calculator. My problem is getting the buttons the user clicks to appear in a text field. I know I haven't added the =/*- buttons yet.
I have left actionPerformed practically blank, what to put in ?
import javax.swing.*; import java.awt.*; import java.awt.event.*; /** * Created by IntelliJ IDEA. * Date: 11/12/2014 * Changing Face Program. */ public class Calc extends JFrame implements ActionListener
I am trying to use a JComboBox with a simple ListCellRenderer
public class EntscheidendeBehoerdeListRenderer extends JLabel implements ListCellRenderer<EntscheidendeBehoerde> { private static final Color HIGHLIGHT_COLOR = new Color(0, 0, 128); private static final long serialVersionUID = -4719965772580952993L; public Component getListCellRendererComponent( JList<? extends EntscheidendeBehoerde> list, EntscheidendeBehoerde value, int index, boolean isSelected, boolean cellHasFocus) {
[code].....
The JCombox shows and odd behavior, when I point to an item it moves up or down and an empty line appears under the cursor.
I am fairly new to Java. I am trying to learn some image manipulation basics. I have searched the web endlessly and made numerous attempts but I cannot seem to get a darn image to display. This code is my latest attempt in Eclipse. The file I am using is chairangle.jpg which is is the src folder of the package I am working in in Eclipse. I am on Windows 8.
import java.awt.*; import javax.swing.*; import javax.swing.ImageIcon; public class otherimg extends JFrame { public static void main(String args[]){ JFrame f = new JFrame(); ImageIcon image = new ImageIcon("image/chairangle.jpg"); JLabel label = new JLabel("", image, JLabel.CENTER); JPanel panel = new JPanel(new BorderLayout()); panel.add( label, BorderLayout.CENTER ); f.pack(); f.setVisible(true); } }
I installed Windowsbuilder in Eclipse as described in this video:URL....
To get starated I now want to create a simple JFrame application that works in the following way. On the opening screen I want to present 4 buttons. Based on the selection I want the JFrame to change layout and components so that the same JFrame behind the scenes contains 5 layouts but only one visible at any time. What is the best way to accomplish this? Or should I do this in another way using multiple JFrames or similar?
Since musicians are supposed to use ALL free services available to them in order to promote themselves, every time we book a show I have to: update facebook, update reverbnation, update bandcamp, etc.
So I was trying to find a way to automate this task, and I found a way to output my facebook page's events to an ical file (which I can port into Google Calendars if I wish). ReverbNation and Bandcamp unfortunately don't offer any integration with anything at all period... So this is what I wanted to write some code to do (see flowchart thing).
I want to create a Web page which can monitor and display the status of Schedule Tasks setup on different remote machine. This Dashboard should also has the capability to re-run the schedule task.
I know that I can achieve this via Runtime class by running schtasks /Query and get all the details. But I just wanted to know if we have any other better way to do this.
I want to create a TASK MANAGER for windows OS using java. Of course i am not expecting any code snippets, that is, what are the classes to be included and moreover HOW to do it.
I want to develop a Java EE application for the following scenario.
Webapp takes a file from a user and analyze the file. This analysis could take hours. User should be able to check if the analysis is finished via AJAX. When the analysis is finished user should be able to view the analysis report that has been generated by the analyzer.
I checked what are the possibles ways I could achieve this but couldn't get a clear idea. I heard about JMS, Work Manager API and servlet asynchronous processing. But still not sure what to use and how to use.I'm not very much familiar with EJB.
I have a database of 100,000 research articles, all as full text. From a GUI I'm building ( w. Scene Builder and NetBeans) I would like to enter a journal name and have some of the articles read into memory, in a background thread. Then I would analyze them, also in a background thread. Then I would write various results, e.g., lists of authors or titles, wordlists, to the GUI for examination by a user.
How to create background threads from my model that will read from and write to a GUI using Tasks and/or Services.
