View Replies View RelatedI have a NetBeans web project on Tomcat 8.0.15, MySql (with Jconnector), Servlet/Jsp. I need a secure login!!! There is a login page. On successful login, if it is admin, servlet redirects to the admin page, if username is of a standardUser, the servlet redirects to the main page.
For now nothing works. The page is not redirected by servlet, on submit button press the error.html appears and shows response.getStatus() is 0!!! I tested(without login) servlet for username/password check against the DB and it works.

I'm trying to learn java by making a login page using java, servlet, javascript, html and mysql. I can login with username and password, I can get all the information from database in the edit page. However, when I edit and click on "Submit" in EditPage.jsp, it gives HTTP Status 404. Same screen appears when I click on "Sign Up" from first page (NewFile.jsp) and click on "Submit" button after filling up user information.

I'm a new Java user and I'm trying to code a simple login page. In first page (NewFile.jsp) users should enter their username and password and should click on "login", or click on "sign up".
1.) If user enters his username and password correctly, a login page (LoginPage.jsp) appears and says "welcome null" but it should show the name of that user instead of null.
2.) In that login page there is an edit button to edit profile information. When I clicked on it, every information is "null" and when I edit them and click on "Submit" button;

I created a mysql database called "loginpage" using xampp. In that database there is a table called "users" and it has un, pass, name, surname, email and degree attributes.

I have configured form based JAAS in my app. Basically, in web.xml I have declared security constraints on certain jsp page, declared specific roles, login and error pages. So, my login form is:

This works fine when some user tries to access some of the pages declared in <security-constraint> tag of web.xml.
Container automatically manages login process, redirects to login page and if login details are valid, gives access to secured page.
Now, how should I implement login system so that user can go to login page (possibly same login form) and log in from there?
I am getting datas from user and checking it with database (MS SQL ) if it fits it is sweatching to new window. In new window I need to use again my database so I need to add connecting datas again. I would like to get them from login window. How to do that? I know theory but when I am writting code nothing works. Here is working code for login panel :

I've got another project for a course and am stuck. I've debugged and tried to figure out where it is breaking, but I just can't find it. I've used this connection code block as well as the contstructors before, but this just won't work. I've got a tab that should send all of the information to a MySql database upon the click of 'Add Employee'. I've given my connection string, the addEmployee(); code, and if needed I can include the subclass code. I've got a superclass 'Employee' and a subclass 'Salaried' that uses four attributes from 'Employee'.

There is a Jlist(Jlist1) which is populated with the columnNames from MYSQL. Then There is another empty Jlist (Jlist2) which the user can add items from Jlist1. At this stage I want to know how I can select items of JList2 from MYSQL to show in Jtable. Because the columnnames(items) of Jlist2 is less than the Jlist1. Like Spss that when you select variables from available list then you can add some of variable to selected list and do analysis.

I tried to omit ID from my SELECT statement, I tried to put Date as a first element in data[iEil][0] but neither options were successful. Data hasn't been changed in database. NOW, everything works fine, except I don't want ID column to be visible in my table.

That's my codes but its wrong according to our prof. it should be in frame form. i don't know how to do it since i did not encountered framing since i was started in java.
I have a form containing several fields, 2 of which persist to different table in a database than the rest of the fields on the form. I have no problem persisting the data into both tables of the database, and after the form is submitted I reset the form to its default values. That all works fine.
But in the same session, when I open another form (a search form) and enter search criteria, which then displays a datatable containing the search results, those 2 values that are persisted to another table are not showing up, but the rest of the data is.
Here is the method that calls the persist methods:

The values do show up, but the problem is, when a subsequent form is opened in the same session (e.g. a search form) the field for that value shows the actual value, instead of the field being blank.'
I am not sure why the data from the one database ("parent") is showing up, yet the data from the other database ("child") is not.
Is it something I am doing wrong? I thought by setting the setter in the child controller class back to a new instance of the Entity class (PolicyPayment) that it would reset the form to default values, but at the same time retain (or save) the inputted values in the same session.
I have a button on UI which adds messages and when the user clicks on it the form gets submitted, meanwhile the user is clicking on refresh(F5) multiple times which is causing the same message to be displayed multiple times. To resolve this , I am converting the form from a synchronous submit to Asychronous but it is still not working. Below is the code:

If a user isn't logged into the application and they try to access one of the secured servlets, for example quotes.do, they are directed to the login page to enter their information.If they login successfully, they are then directed to quotes.do, rather than the default "welcome" page. Is there a setting in the web.xml or the post logon filter where I can force j_security_check to ALWAYS go to the default welcome page after a successful login?

i have build an login form with which a user can login to see next form ,login form is working perfectly but whenever a user enters a wrong userid and clicks on login then nothing happens,i want that there a popup will be called and say wrong userid...
However when a user enters correct userid and wrong password then the popup is working but not when the user id itself wrong...
