I have written this program but I am seeing error when I compile this program ( javac TestArithmetic.java).
1)TestArithmetic.java:26 cannot find symbol
2)symbol: class Arithmetic
3)location: class TestArithmetic
4) Arithmetic ar = new Arithmetic(x1,x2,x3);

I am working in the field of validating data. I need to validate names and test scores and i keeping getting errors in my code. I keep tracing back all the errors and now I am stuck at a logic error. How can i write a java program that simulate a simple calculator that performs the basic arithmetic operations of JAVA. (JOption Pane and Repeat control structure)
Example : Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division.
The program will prompt to input two floating point numbers and a character that represents the operations presented above. In the event that the operator input is valid, prompt the user to input the operator again.
Sample Output :

The goal is as follows: Write a UDP 'CompressionServer' that will take input from the user until it sees a "magic string" at which time it will create a compressed and uncompressed version of the file in the file system.
So, I need to integrate the following "Zip" code in to my UDP server code (which already creates the uncompressed file)... That is where I am stuck at now. My first few attempts had the Zip code after I write to "fout" but that failed to create a ZIP file.
I guess the main point here is what are the key pieces of the ZIP code that I should include and what would be the best spot to place them in my server code...

I have written a java code to transfer files from one server to another using the concept of socket programming. I got the codes from another java forum that meet my requirements. The program is said to transfer large sized files (like .mkv , .mprg movies) from one machine to another and can be used to transfer files of all formats. But after running the codes I found that the program is not able to transfer large sized files such as movies and even pdf of sizes 80mb or 111mb. When i transfer small sized files, it gets transferred and the output shows that. You can run the codes and observe it. But when i try to transfer large sized files, the program goes on running for hours. The large sized files are not getting transferred. The program has used bytebuffer but still this error occurs. The codes are as follows (I got them from this site [URL] ....)

Also specify the source directory, destination directory and host address of the machine in which server is running in the ClientMain.java (as per your computer). Here we are not specifying source file, instead a source directory or folder is specifying. So the entire files of source directory will be transferred.

I am working on a program that simulates a bug moving along a horizontal line, My code works correctly when I test it in it's own class but when I tried testing my constructor and methods in a test class I received an error saying, "package stinkBug does not exist" on lines with my methods. However, stinkbug is not a package.

How do you test a default constructor in one class and then test it in a different class? This is the code for the Person class which has the default constructor. So in trying to create a circle class, and use the dimensions of that circle (radius, area, etc.) to prove it will equal pie and print (3.141592653589793). This is my code so far it and am getting an error in the last two classes. I know it has to do with Circle(Radius); in the 2nd class but whenever i call upon it, it is assigned to itself. How do i go about developing a simple arithmetic tester program which can be used to support young children improve their arithmetic skill. The program should accepts string data for the player's name and the number of questions they want to try, which will be entered by the user. The program should take in the following inputs from the user:
The name of the player, so that the game can refer to them by name in messages. The name must be between 2 and 20 characters inclusive.
The number of sums that the user wants to attempt. This number must be a whole number, and be between 2 and 50 inclusive.
The program must check that the values entered fall within the valid ranges. The program must also check that no empty strings are entered for names.
Once the player has entered their name and the number of questions they want to attempt, the game begins. The program must generate sums for the player.
The program should generate one question at a time and display the question for the user. The questions must involve two numbers and be either a multiplication, division, subtraction, or addition. For example, the following are all valid questions:
3 * 4 = ?
8 / 2 = ?
7 + 1 = ?
9 - 8 = ?
The first number, second number, and arithmetic operator (multiply, divide, add, subtract) should all be chosen randomly, the program should Generate a new random number for each of the three parts of each sum. this requires you to choose one of the four symbols based on which random number is returned.
A few checks must be carried out before a generated question is displayed to the user. If the question is an addition question, no checks are required. If the question is a multiplication question, no checks are required. However, checks are required for subtraction and division sums.
If the question is a subtraction question, the program must check that the second number is equal to or smaller than the first number. Whilst the second number is larger than the first number, new numbers should be generated.

I'm new to Java and I want to write a program that compute all the possible arithmetic operations of 4 integers.
For example, if the user enter 1, 2, 3, and 4 respectively, then I want the computer to print out the following results:
1 + 2 + 3 + 4
1 + 2 + 3 - 4
1 + 2 + 3 * 4
1 + 2 + 3 / 4
..
1 / 2 / 3 / 4
