I set out to make a Tic-tac-toe (Cross and Noughts) game to test my learning so far. While things have gone pretty well so far, I am absolutely stumped by my current issue. When I compile and run the code, the Grid of buttons that I generate do not appear. However, if I mouse over the window, they seem to then get refreshed/repainted. I cannot for the life of me figure out why this is happening. From Googling the issue, it seems this is either an issue with the layout manager or related to a thread conflict with the GUI? View Replies View RelatedI need to implement an editable JComboBox. It should display a list of rivers from a database. However since the number of rivers is very large, the entries must be dynamically filled after the user has typed in three or more letters.
I have tried to solve this using a KeyAdapter. Everythings works. However after the user has typed in three characters, these three characters are selected in the Combobox. Of course when the user continues to type these chars will be replaced. I have so far not found a solution to deselect the characters and place the cursor at the end.

I have built a binary tree, from a file. In each node, I am storing each word as a string, and an int frequency for each time the word occurs. For the assignment, I need to find how many words occur only once in the file. I wrote the program, but for some reason I am getting a number different from what my professor is expecting.

I am looking for java codes to generate a word document based on a word template, basically, I have a word template created and in my local path, the template has a proper format with some fields which will be filled in after java codes ran. The java codes will fetch one record from a table, and open the word template and then fill the fields in the word template, and created a new word document and save it in another folder.

I am using infrared for monitoring performance of j2ee web application(using hibernate and spring),deploying on tomcat 7.0.23 and jdk 1.6.17.here infrared shows only http layer not sql and jsp layer.
