Using JAVA Scanner Class - Manipulate And Generate Data Dictionary Add Cards For Each

I have a string of variable tags (tag) filled with variables, and using a Scanner (scan) to manipulate and generate data dictionary add cards for each. The variables are delimited with new line character, and the variables are structured such that the actual name of the variable contains info as to its data type, size, etc. What I need to do is move the scanner to a particular point into the string then use .nextInt() or similar. I don't want to do this to the whole variable, just where I start it from. How can I do this?

I'm also having trouble creating the method to deal out five cards that also tells how many cards are left in the deck and I believe I need a toString method but I honestly do not know how to go about that.

Make sure to write the appropriate constructors, getters, setters, toString and other methods as required for both classes.

I am currently concentrating on Java programming skills. Right now developing a Energy usecase in Java with Spring framework. Have business requirement to generate data along with outliers. For example, have two parameters called as min and max (centigrates). Generate a file between min and max and store in a file. Atleast need to generate 10 outliers in each 100 records. I need to read a csv file from the disk and manipulate the data inside. My problem is that if the csv (excel format) contains "" in any of it's values the whole string line gets saved/displayed incorrectly . For example for the line in the csv file :
I have to create a dictionary in java using search trees. I have problems with the methods put() and remove(). Working properly, ie correctly adds a new element and eliminates correctly. But I should improve a few things.
As you can see from the interface, both methods must return an element of type V, that is:
- case put(): returns the previous value associated with key (or null if the key was not associated with any value) - case remove(): returns the value associated with the key (or null if the key was not present in the dictionary)
I do not understand how come my put method always returns null even though in reality I make him return node.getElement().
Instead, the remove() method does not know how to modify it to make sure it returns the value associated with the key. If I change the helper method return value in V (instead of Node<K, V>) method does not work anymore...
How can I then edit these two methods?

I need to generate a bar chart given the data that is in main. The relative performance of each sorting algorithm with respect to time, number of comparisons, and number of swaps for each data set (e.g., 50,000 –400,000 random integers). Each algorithm will have 5 bars corresponding to the 5 data sets. The height of these bars will depend on the performance of the algorithm for that data set.
I know how to write a bar with normal values like integers but for this I'm not sure because the values for instance comparisons and swaps are not given they are calculated. I have two threads, one generates data based on some decision process (A) and another use the data to plot it (B). The problem occurs when there is no data to plot. What is the best way to synchronize these two threads? Using sleep, or wait/notify?

The test class works fine up until the point when the user wants to (M)odify an employee that he/she built with the loadEmployee method. What happens is I need to enter multiple "M" inputs before anything pops up, and when something pops up, it's the displayMenu instead of modifyEmployee method. I redid my entire code to use array-lists instead of just arrays my professor finally got back to me and said he doesn't want us to use lists. The assignment is to create a CardGame driver class, then create a "card" in a card class, then a "deck of cards" in a DeckOfCards class, shuffle, and deal 5 random cards and "deal a card and report the number of cards left in the deck". That last line in quotes is what I do not know how to do.
Also, I renamed a lot of variables via some suggestions and the assignments states "Make sure to write the appropriate constructors, getters, setters, toString and other methods as required for both classes." I think they're appropriate. Should I change some of he methods to better getters and setters identifiers?

The instructions also say to "print each card as it is dealt" does that mean 5 cards one at a time? Anyways, I was thinking that in the driver class I could add a for loop to the for loop and as it deals a card it could run through the second for loop and print how many cards are left in the deck.

My Query is: input.nextLine() does not wait for user input. Instead it continues execution from next line. But if I move up input.nextLine(); before both input.nextInt(); and input.nextFloat() in the above code, the execution works fine, input.nextLine(); waits for user input. edited code and output are as follows.

There is a problem that I am facing while using the Scanner class for taking inputs from the user. Suppose if I need to take an integer and a String input from the user, and I take the integer input first then the place where the user has to input the String skips and the variable shows a "" nothing on printing it. I need to know why this happens and how should I avoid it. I've seen that taking the String input first solves the issue but while taking the input in a loop to populate a database the program only lets the user enter the first statement and the following statements are skipped.
My code runs and populates an arraylist. However my break statement, while stopping the loop ends up being added to the arraylist. And I'm not sure how to fix this error.
