How To Emulate Functionality In Java
Dec 3, 2014I'm trying to turn into an android app, but I have limited Java knowledge.It's not a super complex app so I figured I could figure it out on the fly with some tutorials and such. But I need to emulate this curl connection and I'm not sure how in Java.

Java EE SDK :: Can Use Filter For Maintaining Session Timeout Related Functionality
Dec 14, 2011I want to implement session timeout functionality ...so with web.xml file i can specify session timeout ..say 30 min.. Now with filter is it possible for me to redirect the request to login page after session is timeout say after 30 min... What are the other ways...??
Also i want to know whether timeout setting in web.xml will overweight the application server timeout ... I am using struts 1.0 and hibernate...
Validate IP Address With Java Regular Expression
Jan 23, 2015I am trying to implement an example (Book* : Java SE 7 ..By S G Ganesh) for validating an IP address but it fails to validate a valid IP addresses. I found another example on the internet(**) and it works super fine, no problem at all. I edited the code (the one I got from internet) into the exact format like book and it still works super but i don't understand why the books' example doesn't work though both look exactly the same now ,further more, how can i compare String x and y for equality?

My requirement is college data excel sheet with combination of all groups like mba,mca,and etc...then re ad the data and find the groups then
1. give entry in the UP_LOAD_DATA_HIST table with this excel data uploading with this user and this date,
2. find the group of the department and save data into CATAGIRY_TBL.
3. Finally save the All data into the students table.
Servlets :: Checkbox Not Working Right
Jan 22, 2014I am trying to finish this servlet that adds a new course to my courses display. im using a check box so the user can pick what the prerequisite are for the new course they want to add. so if they check cs201 , it will add cs201 as a prerequisite for that new course.
for some reason my checkbox will only add the first checkbox that is clicked. like if i add a subject , and click the check boxs for cs203 , cs202, and cs201. it will only grab cs201 and add it to my course display. it wont grab all 3. how can i grab the other info thats checked?

Apr 18, 2015my code is ignoring the checkbox option when Iterating in loop like this:

The output of value="${user.id}" is retrieved from a DB, it looks like this:

Then depending of which check box I selected then the row by the side should be selected by id and deleted.But what happens is that doesnt matter which check box I select, always the first row is deleted. I understand that at the first iteration of the loop it just take the first id, it doest attach the id I have choosen to the row it belongs to

Apr 21, 2014I want to validate username and password in JavaScript. I want to validate username and password with database values. If login failed i want to display alert message...ok. But problem is that i have index.jsp page. After clicking login button control goes to homepage.
jsp..okk.. in index.jsp I have taken dropdown to show designation. I select design then control goes to respective homepage... in homepage. I am checking username and password with database values. JSP :: Validate Form And Show Errors?
Jun 5, 2014I have a JSP which will let a user register for an account at my website. If the user submits wrong or illegal info into the JSP, then I want to return the same JSP with an appropriate error message next to/above each wrongly filled (form) fields.
If possible, highlight the wrongly filled form field - this feature is not necessary though.
I have given a sample below to show what I need. I understand that the sample must be using something like javascript, but I don't know all that client side scripting. I only want to use JSP to do it. As I said, I want to sort of return the JSP form to the user after marking all the mistakes and how to correct them.
How do I do this ?
