Writing a program to take input from user. This input must be done with numbers only. If the input is a string I would like the program to loop and ask for input again.

So i'm just toying around with making a simple inventory system, and when i'm trying to get the user's input (first the ID number, then the item name, then the item price) it will take the ID number, output asking for the name (but not take any input for it) and then ask for the item's price. I'm really not sure why it's never happened to me before when getting user input.
This is the input part of my code:

So I'm attempting to have this program take the users input of integers, pressing enter in between each one. If they enter a negative number it lets them know that its invalid. At the end of the program it takes all of the valid integers entered and must add them and average them. I've put the final println in there as a placeholder. If the user types in "6" then presses enter and types in "3" , the output is:

The sum of the valid numbers was --- and the average was ---.
There were 0 invalid numbers entered.
It then continues on allowing the user to enter more values. Here is the example output for correct code"

I am having trouble with my if statements. I don't know how to link the number 1 & 2 keys to deposit and withdrawal actions. My question is this: Is there any way to move from inputting integers to printing them, without entering a non-integer (for example, hitting enter)? I looked at the API for the Vector class, and either I'm not thinking about the problem the right way to be able to find an answer, or it's just not there.
I am writing a short quiz program, and when the user inputs their answer they hit the enter key (the are int). But the last question on my quiz is asking the user to they want to repeat the quiz, but when I run the program, it won't allow me to input any information. Ok so I have my program working for the most part. In this program I am supposed to take input from the user until they enter a negative number and that works, the problem is that it doesn't work if I enter a negative number on the first prompt. For example if I enter a 100 it would prompt me again and if I enter a negative number it would quit and give me the average, but if I enter a negative number the first time I am prompted the program just gives me an error. I have been assigned to write a program that has a user input random numbers then the program is to sort them in different ways. I have the coding for the different sorts but, I have an error saying that I am missing a return statement in the "Bubble" method. I am trying to return "arr[i]" in the "for loop" which gives me this error, and when I try to take the "return arr[i]" outside of the "for()" loop the error reads the it cannot locate variable "i".

I am writing a program in Java where a user adds 1 stamp on a letter for every five sheets of paper in it (or fraction thereof)For example, I if I have 11 sheets of paper, I add 3 stamps. If the total number of stamps is more than 3, they don't send it.

I'm writing a program to dynamically update an xml file to add, delete, and edit entries in the file. I've run into an issue with the add method because when I write into the file, a random letter is added before the line. EX:

I'm in the process of writing a program that determines if a number is a Palindrome or not. I'm not allowed to use strings and am required to use the getSize method shown below. I believe my issue that I'm having is that the "num" is not being called in the getSize method, and therefore not running the while loop, or at least that is what I believe is the issue.

It was quite recently that Data Structures was introduced to me, so I started out writing some iterative programs recursively.I found some strange output which shouldn't have come out but if you take a look at these three codes

These are three versions of the code, achieving the same objective of obtaining a given number and returning the factorial, but in spite of the changes made to the code, they produce the same result. I needed a reason as to why it is so? I tried to dry run all the codes but at some point or the other I got confused, and had to start all over again and couldn't come up with a proper result.
User-defined classes. The concept of getters and setters goes right over my head. Right now we're to write a program to test the Person class below. We have to create 2 instances of the class to test each constructor, and test each method.
