Usually, the code works very well. But sometimes, the download gets stalled indefinitely. Is there a way to set a time out period for the downloading of this file?
JFrame parentFrame = new JFrame(); JFileChooser fileChooser = new JFileChooser(); fileChooser.setDialogTitle(txtPushCode.getText()); int userSelection = fileChooser.showSaveDialog(parentFrame); if (userSelection == JFileChooser.APPROVE_OPTION) {
[Code] ....
But as you can see, it downloads only to "C:android empcoloricon.png". I want to download it to path where I chose in FileChooser with the name and extension I choose. In short, how can I use dynamic file path names in where ever I want in my applications?
InputStream inputStream = null; OutputStream outputStream = null; try { URL url = new URL(imgfm); inputStream = url.openStream(); outputStream = new FileOutputStream(imgto); byte[] buffer = new byte[2048]; int length;

I have several pic to download (e.g 30) however, the code work for some pic (workable for a random number of pic, sometimes workable for 10 pics but sometime can only download 1 pics).
I try to input several println code to found out the problem. finally i found that all the code stop (it's stop as when i use debug process in eclipse, it get no respond) and the final appear code under console is:
I need to write a java application which can download attachments from lotus notes. I have a mailbox configured which gets only attachment based mails.
I have a code which is like this ...

As I said i have a mail box configured.. What should I place in config_server, log_server, source_server?

I have been given a task to scan the contents of a websites source code, and use delimiters to extract all hyperlinks from the site and display them. We havent been told anything about how to do this so after some looking around online this is what I have so far:
So my program can extract each line from the source code of a website and display it, but realistically I want it to extract each WORD as such from the source code rather than every line. I've looked around online but I don't really know how it's done because I keep getting errors when I use input.read();
How to make it extract each word from the source code?
I am trying to display the files stored in server using jsp. I used the code below to display. But for pdf it is asking to download (No option for open). For XLS, XLSX, DOCX, PPT and PPTX it is showing zip file to download. For type doc it is showing junk data.
<% String fileName=(String)request.getAttribute("fileName"); int loc = fileName.lastIndexOf("."); String fileName1 = fileName.substring(0, loc); String fileName2 = fileName.substring(loc + 1, fileName.length());
String contentType = fi.getContentType(); gives text/plain when my file is.txt file and gives image/jpeg when my file is .jpeg file but when my file is .jar or .docx it will return application/octet-stream and application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document respictively so what to do to get exact mime type.
Is there a way to measure current download speed of a file being downloaded? I've searched all over google and the only thing i get is average download speed. This is basically how it is being done, the result is average download speed.
Java Code:
OutputStream out = null; URLConnection conn; InputStream in = null; long startup = System.currentTimeMillis(); try { URL url = new URL(adress); out = new BufferedOutputStream(

I can't find an handler or a listener to intercept the 'Save as' window that should pops up when i click on a download link in a webview embedded page.
This is probably more of a web-based question. I have a basic web crawler I wrote with Java (using JSoup) which crawls through our repositories and stuff to locate the paths to certain snapshots and whatnot. It crawls through using the file tree which gets exposed when you try to go to a directory in a URL.
The problem I am having is that some of the directories contain index files, which means the connection to the directory redirects from the file tree to the index file. Any way to prevent that redirection?
I have a class that do a soap request to a web service , the response is containing a base64 string repressing a file content , how can i send this string to a servlet (maybe any other way) to send it to the user as a downloaded file .

I need to convert the sample download.jsp to html so that i can parse

I am trying to write a java code for a homework problem in my intro java class but im having problems. This is the problem:
Write a program that open the MyFile.txt and read from a file with these criteria.
1)-The program should display the first five lines of the file’s contents only.
2)-If the file contains less than five lines, it should display the file’s entire content. You must check for end of file and less than 6 lines on the loop iterations.
3)- your program should use loop to read the line by line of the file MyFile.txt.
The serperate myfile.txt has this
I can still remember, at the end of that year, we sat for the last time in our circle together. She played us her favorite song, "like a bridge over troubled water" and quietly passed out a gift she had made for each of us.She had made each of us a pottery heart with our name and the date on it on the back each read "I believe in ME".We all cried including her. She told us she would always remember US. We believed she would.
and this is what the code is suppose to look like after you run it : Java33.png
And this is what i have so far : Java22.png
what needs to go next to complete the javascript to show the first 5 lines of the text files?
I have a EAR file which has a java class file and EAR file is deployed in weblogic.I have to call the java class of EAR file from a standalone java code which is present inside a JAR.While making the call to EAR i have to pass a parameter from JAR to one of the methods of class file which is present in EAR.
I tried working with XML today, since that's what my book teaches. First, I read some data about Product objects that are suppose to represent products with a code, description, and price. That worked fine. Then, I tried creating a writeProducts(ArrayList<Product> products) method, and man it did not go well.
How it works is that there is an ArrayList instance variable in the class that keeps track of all of my products after the readProducts method returns that ArrayList from the XML file. When I ran the method I had a lot of stack traces printed. I then checked the file on a web browser and an editor, and saw it was completely empty. Here's the code:
import java.util.ArrayList; import java.io.*; import javax.xml.stream.*; // StAX API public class XMLTesterApp { private static String productsFilename = "products.xml"; public static void main(String[] args) { System.out.println("Products list:");
I have two files - I can get the second one to populate with the first ones data and then delete the first one. I cannot get it to then rename itself to the name of the first file. It also only hits the 'rename' section of the code providing I place system.gc in otherwise it completely skips it.
