I am taking Python this semester. Our teacher wants us to convert Python to JavaScript without really explaining how or/and expecting us to be familiar with it already.Python Program I have is pretty simple - it prompts you to enter your first and last name and end your DNA string, "CAG" repeats are counted by another function and the result is passed to function that identified weather you may have huntington's decease or not.
<body>
<p>Enter First Name: <input type="text" size="25" id="firstname" value="">
<p>Enter Last Name: <input type="text" size="25" id="lastname" value="">
<p>Enter DNA: <input type="text" size="25" id="DNA" value="" >
<p><button onclick="alertt(f,l,d,c,p)" style="background-color:pink"><b>PRESS TO FIND OUT RESULT</b></button></p>
<script>
[code]...
When I run it there is an issue with countCAG and prediction functions :( I would run each one individually in JS console and I get Undefined, or InvalidString I read that I am supposed to use var in front of each variable, unlike in Python where you just assign variable a value without any add-ons in the front. But JS console seems to recognize both ways of assigning, however var smth=0 immediately evaluates to Undefined, and smth=0, gives me 0...
first row abc has width as 6 and FLof as 2 in file A, so it occupies position 2,3,4,5,6,7 accounting to 6 position so represented as abc_7_2 in file B
Now row three of file A has duplicate of abc so now the new offset will be previous offset plus one ie. position will start from 8 and it goes as follows 8,9,10,11 so represented as abc_11_8
This will create unique and informative names, the same goes with other rows :
The problem is that I often receive ArrayOutOfBound errors when I try to parse the byte array. I think that I'm reading from the socket in a wrong way..
I have a java application in which when starting it a map is opened and a screen is captured. The capturing is in certain time interval. I want to enable the user to change the interval for the automatic capturing the map. I placed a text box in a JPanel. I want to pass the value which was entered in it to the html page which opens a Google map. Since I am new in java programming, I found that I can do it by using applets. I made an applet, and tried to call it in the html file. But now instead of opening the map file in a browser, it opens very quickly only black window.
Here is my applet:
package cege.ui; import java.applet.Applet; import java.io.IOException; import cege.ui.GuiMain; public class AppletTInterval extends Applet { private int TimeInterval=0;
[Code] .....
And the code in the html file where I try to call the applet, i.e. to pass the value which is returned by the applet is:
<script src= <!--"https://www.java.com/js/deployJava.js"></script> <script> var attributes = { id:'AppletTInterval', code:'cege.ui.AppletTInterval', width:1, height:1} ; var parameters = { jnlp_href: 'AppletTInterval.jnlp'} ;
[Code] .....
Can I use this way to pass a value from the java class file (from the JTextField into the html file?
I am trying to run a sign up page. The page is working properly and takes me to the login page when completed as it should. But when a field is left blank it is supposed to show an error message and keep them on the signup page, and it is not doing that. Sign Up Action:
In my jsp, I have a table with some file paths with this I have to get the file and send it to server. I am able to read the file name, size and file as binary using files of javascript. But after that I need to send those files by storing in a byte array to servlet which I am not able to that. Is there any way I can send that. My requirement is I need to upload those files to server side.
I have a js code that finds out the timezone and then I am trying to "send" a value to a java backingbean. This code must be execute during the load of the xhtml page because in the process I use the "localTimeZone" bean.
I have a problem with a JavaScript application on Safari 6 and 7. The application updates a smartcard on a website, through a JAVA applet using JavaScript requests.
There is no problem with other browsers. On Safari , randomly (1 smartcard's update on 10), the javascript completely freezes in the middle of an update (on a random card).
After 5 minutes exactly, the javascript resumes, and 2 behaviors happens : the update wether continues or stops completely.
We investigated a lot about this problem , at network and memory level. We use a lot of "setTimeOut" function (approximately 1100 times), and read that setTimeOut could cause problems with memory management on Safari.
I've a simple logic Code to increment a variable from javascript and Send it back to jsp. I just writing simple code to explain the logic. My code will have scritplets. I know usage of scriptlets is inside jsp is oldest but for the sake of logic.
<!--Jsp Page --> <% int i=0; <input type="button" onclick="fun()"/> %> <!-- Script as Follows--> <script> function fun(){ <%i++;5> } </script>
But My value of i is not incrementing its showing that function is undefined
I'm creating a SOAP Client with JS, this is my first time with webServices and I must have several mistakes in my code.
The poit is, with my code, I cant take acces to the WebService, but I don't know how to access to the methods inside. So the webservice gives me the following response:
<h1>Version</h1> <p>Hi there, this is an AXIS service!</p> <i>Perhaps there will be a form for invoking the service here...</i>
Instead of the correct XML for the method I'm calling.
This is the code of my SOAP client:
<html> <script type="text/javascript"> function run(){ var objXMLHttpRequest = new XMLHttpRequest(); objXMLHttpRequest.open("GET", "http://localhost:8080/CrunchifyWS/services/Version?wdsl/", true); objXMLHttpRequest.onreadystatechange = function () { //alert(objXMLHttpRequest.readyState+" "+ objXMLHttpRequest.status);
[code]....
I think that te mistake should be in the XML part, but, as I said, this is my first time and I don't know what I'm doing.
When I try to do POST instead of GET I have this reposnse:
I have just started to work on Java EE and I am not able to put the refrence of css and javascript in jsp page.
My senario is below: I have created script file inside myJavaScript Folder like Web Container-> myJavaScript ->Home.js. Similarlly for css:Web Container-> myCss ->Home.css.
My Jsp page palced inside Like: Web Container-> Home ->Home.jsp.
How to give the reference of js and css file in my Home.jsp page.
I've got a banner that displays on the web page and users can close it out by clicking an "X" button in its corner. Once it's closed, we track for that session that it remains closed, so a cookie gets set. I'd like subsequent requests to the server to be aware of this cookie so that the banner code is just not included in subsequent responses. (Sidebar: earlier I was just detecting the cookie after page load and then hiding the banner but it creates a lag where the banner is visible then suddenly pops away, making for poor user experience.)
I expect that even though Javascript set the cookie it would then show up in HttpServletRequest.getCookies() call, but there's actually a lot of cookies visible in Chrome Developer Tools on the client of my page that don't show up in .getCookies(). Does the HttpServletResponse.addCookie need called at some point first for the cookie to be passed back and forth to server?
I am trying to find a way to make a URL that is used during a background AJAX call to log a user out more flexible. Currently, I have it as a static value, as below:
var logoutURLTest = "https://test.myorg.com/cas/logout"; ...AJAX stuff that uses the logoutURLTtest variable...
However, if that URL was to change for any reason, I would have to modify one or more JSPs if they were affected, instead of just changing it at a single point in the Spring environment context. It would be more desirable to expose the value using a property placeholder; however, the Spring documentation isn't exactly clear on whether this is possible.
Like the title says: I'm loading a local HTML file in a WebView which contains Javascript. The script works without any problem when the page is first loaded, but when I reload it or load another local page, Javascript simply stops working silently for no apparent reason and with no error or exception of any kind.
I have an arraylist in my servlet which i need to pass to jsp as a response for a javascript call. This is an arraylist of DTOs. There are 24 DTO objects in the list. The DTO has an int variable and a HashMap. And i need to pass this into the javascript code in my jsp page. Do i use json? Do i send the entire list as a json object or should i iterate through the arraylist (from servlet) and serialize all the DTOs and pass that to the jsp?
I need to check in my java class the status of the javascript (whether it's enabled or disabled) and based on that few validations will be performed at server side.
If have to use noscript, then any small example for xhtml. My project works on Spring web flow.
i don't need ordinary javascript alert box. so i was use the jquery modal alert box for different action like success, error etc.but i have problem to call the alert box within servlet.
