Creating Table Model For Data From Database

Sep 9, 2014

I'd like to create my own Table Model to handle data from an SQLite database using JSwing, but I'm having difficulty. How to confirm the following:

-- A table model is an object that contains methods for manipulating data in the table, right?

If that's the case, then how should I create a Table Model to handle data coming from a database. From what I understand...

My custom Table Model needs to subclass AbstractTableModelI then override 3 methods from AbstractTableModel (getRowCount(), getColumnCount(), getValueAt())

As it relates to drawing data from a database, how should I be thinking about this problem (i.e. creating a Table Model that can work with a database)?

Get All Access Table Names?

Jul 12, 2014

I'm using MS Access database. What I want to do, is to get all names of my tables in database.My SQL query :

SELECT TABLE_NAME FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.TABLES

is it correct? I found it in one example and didn't change anything.

I could of course execute this and check, but the problem is, that it returns ResultSet(I'm using Java), and I do not know how to manipulate this object in this situation.Cause usually ResultSet contains columns and rows, I think now I should get only bunch of String values.

Remove Item From Table?

I successfully created the map mechanism, but I have a problem on the list....

I add the rows in this way:

Object newItemId = container.addItem();
Item riga = container.getItem(newItemId);
riga.getItemProperty("Timestamp").setValue(fara);
riga.getItemProperty("Date").setValue(asa);
.
How can I delete a row in the list, when all I have in input is the "Timestamp" information, in a Long value?

Trace Table - Use Of Iterators?

Feb 20, 2014

I'm confused on how to provide a trace table with this problem.

int i = 0; int j = 1; int n = 2;
while (i < 10) {i++; n = n + i + j; j++; }

My professor wants us to use iterations as a way to solve it and this was the example given:

int i = 0; int j = 1; int n = 2;
while (i < j) { i ++; j --; n++; }
public static String r43a() {

// START CODE
String answer = "iteration1: i=" + 0 + ", j=" + 1 + ", n=" + 2 ;
answer += "
";
answer += "iteration2: i=" + 1 + ", j=" + 0 + ", n=" + 3 ;
return answer;
// STOP CODE
}

How To Make A Table That Prints Out Sin / Cos / Tan For Angles

Sep 30, 2014

I am stuck and having a problem trying to find what i believe is a simple fix but can't wrap my head around it. For class I needed to make a table that prints out Sin,Cos,Tan for angles in steps of 5 to 180. The problem is in my output with the first couple lines of the table. for angle 5.0 the Sin(.0872) Cos(.9962) and Tan (.0875) are being displayed on the angle line 10.0

public class TrigTable {
public static void main(String[] args) {
double angle = 0;
double sin =0;
double cos = 0;
double tan = 0;

System.out.println("Angle Sin Cos Tan"); // Table header for the values

[Code] ....

Here is the first couple lines of output:

Angle Sin Cos Tan
----- --- --- ---
0.0 0.0 1.0 0.0
5.0 0.0 1.0 0.0
10.0 0.0872 0.9962 0.0875
15.0 0.1736 0.9848 0.1763
20.0 0.2588 0.9659 0.2679

Java Football Table Program

I have been trying to make a football league table in java based on text input and output. I want to to know if i have done task 1 right if not could you

Task 1. Design and implement classes SportsClub (abstract class), FootballClub.Classes should include appropriate methods and hold information about name of the club,its location and various statistics about the club. FootballClub should include statistics such as how many wins, draws and defeats an instance of it has achieved in the season, the number of goals received and scored. The number of points that a club currently has, and number of matches played.

Task 2. Implement a class PremierLeagueManager which extends interface LeagueManager. PremierLeagueManager class maintains a number of football clubs which play in the premier league. The class should create a menu based on text input and give the user the choice of:

• Create a new football club and add it in the premier league.
• Delete (relegate) an existing football club from the premier league.

Truth Table For Logical Operators

Nov 11, 2014

I've created a truth table for logical operators. Now I'm supposed to alter the code so the table prints 1's and 0's instead of true or false. Here's a bit of the original code - just the header and the first line of the table.

System.out.println("p q AND OR XOR NOT");
System.out.println();
boolean p, q;
p = true; q = true;
System.out.print( p + " " + q + " " );
System.out.print( ( p & q) + " " + ( p | q) + " ");
System.out.println(( p ^ q ) + " " + ( !p) );

All of my ideas involve using an if-then statement, but that would be all kinds of inefficient and unwieldy, I think.
