Generate Random Dice Rolls Using Get And Set Methods

The program is supposed to generate random dice rolls using the get and set methods. If the user doesn't specific how many sides the dice have, then it defaults at 6 with the constructor. The program runs but its generating 0's.

Not Counting Total Of Dice Rolls

I am currently trying to roll 5 dice 100,000 times and output the number of times each possible total (of dots/pips) occurs. It seems to output the incorrect thing and isnt counting the occurrences properly.

DiceStatistics - Represent Pair Of Dice And Totals Of Their Rolls

Create a class called DiceStatistics to represent a pair of dice and the totals of their rolls. It should have an array of two Dice as a private data member (these are the Dice from Problem 1). It should also have, as a data member, an array of integers to represent the possible totals of rolling two dice.

The class should also have the following methods:

initStats() to initialize all the totals to zero.
rollOnce() to roll each die once, and add one to the correct totals element
printStatistics() to print the number of times each total has come up over the number of runs.

Here is my code:

Java Random Road Cross - Generate Random Number Between One To Ten

The program I'm supposed to create generates a random number between one to ten. Then the program is to ask me if I wish to cross the road. If you choose to cross, the outcomes for 0-2 are "You crossed safely." For 3-5, 75% of the time it should say "RIP you got run over", and 35% of the time it should say "You crossed the street." For 6-8, 60% of the time it should say you made it.", and 40% of the time it should say "You died". For 9-10, it should say "RIP".

So far I have gotten the random number generation part working. I have up to here:

Generate Random Number From 0 - 2

How would I get java to generate a random number from 0-2? all I've been able to find on random numbers is math.random which gives you from .0 to .10. you can multiply this by 10 to get 1-10 or by 100 to get 1-100 but how to make it so java will simply let me tell it the rand of numbers I want or get a random number in a range that is not a multiple of 10. and I can't seem to find anything about it anywhere.

I am currently taking a class in the field. My assignment is to generate 6 unique random numbers using a "Do While" expression. I might be mistaken but doesnt the inner loop execute first and then it works its way out? With this logic I believe my code should work but then again its not.

How To Get Random Shapes To Generate Automatically

I am trying to get random shapes to generate automatically. I was able to get just three shapes to generate but nothing random. When I added the random code now only the frame shows up and no shapes. I also keep getting an error with frame.setVisible(true). It says identifier expected. Here is what I have so far:

Trying to generate random integers, based off user-input for amount of integers, and then sort them into an array. The problem is that the second method needs to be int[] but I cannot figure out what to make the return result. The instructions say it needs to be an int[] in the UML diagram, so I know it's not supposed to be void.

Then, the 3 numbers to the left and right of this location should be reset to the value 0. in my progrm there are three diff array of objects...namely garments..gadgets and home app...now one who buys from each of these sections will have to make a bill at last...when he choses to make the bill he will be shown the list of products he bought and their details (like price...brand...etc)...so i thought that while he orders each product(which is done in a previous method called purchase()...)....(each product is stored as an object in there diif arrays namely garments...gadgets ...appliances)....each of those object will be copied in a new array in a diif class...then that array print will give me the desired result...

is this approach correct...?and if its correct then how can i pull out a specific obj frm a stored array of object and then save it in a new array....?

Using Loops For Dice Probability

The instructions are to "write a program to simulate tossing a pair of 11-sided dice and determine the percentage of times each possible combination of the dice is rolled... then ask the user to enter the number of sides on a die" The code is all provided here, I just have to put it in the right spots. (Side note, I cannot use arrays.) Here's the original file I was given to work with:

I want to write a small Hi Lo Betting Dice program that satisfies these conditions :

A player places a bet on whether the sum of two dice will come up High (totalling 8 or higher), Low (totalling 6 or less) or Sevens (totalling exactly 7). If the player wins, he receives a payout based on the schedule given in the table below:

Choice Payout
High 1 x Wager
Low 1 x Wager
Sevens 4 x Wager

The player will start with $100 for wagering. If the player chooses to wager $0 or if he runs out of money, the program should end. Otherwise it should ask him whether he's wagering on High, Low or Sevens, display the results of the die rolls, and update his money total accordingly.

I manage to calculate the numberOfOutcomes correctly, but then get a nullPointerException. Also, is there a way that I can use getNumberOf Outcomes without making it static? The testing code that the teacher provided is using it in another class and if I make it static, then it doesn't work in that file.
