How To Make Panels Visibility Go False / True With Actionlistener

I'm trying to create a program that has two labels... one in the top left and one in the top right... so far when i run it only the one in the top right (label2) shows... also In the program there will be multiple button and when I click a button it will show a different panel and then i can go back to the first panel to select other panels... so far i haven't figured out how to make panels visibility go false/true with actionlistener. last thing... when i have more then one panel added to the frame none of them show up.

I have the code and it works very well, but my professor wants us to use Junit testing to test our code. I've never used JUnit before, how it works. Is it possible to have a boolean value (true or false) randomly set?

Truth Table - Display 1s And 0s Instead Of True False

I'm supposed to take this truth table and alter it so it displays 1's and 0's instead of true false. I'm assumed to do this I would just need to change the variable type and replace true and false with 1 and 0 but every way I try this does not work.

Dynamic Enum - How To Make DIME(10) False

I wrote a simple enum and a test class. The enum represents us coins and my test class uses the enum to calculate the change with the least number of coins. For example, I pass in 95 cents, I get back 3 quarters, 2 dimes. It all works just fine, easy to implement and I see why I should use an enum. Then I thought, what if the person is out of dimes. How could I tell the enum to skip dimes in it's switch statements? How would I make DIME(10) false?

Variables Declaration And Visibility

Let's say within a class I create a method that takes care of creating a java swing layout with labels, buttons etc.. then attach an action listener (inner class) for each button to change a respective label text. All I would need is that the action listener method can access and modify the label as needed.

Have read about static, protected, private, getters and setters but honestly bit confused about which structure should be adopted as a best practice. Global static protected variables for the labels along with private inner classes implementing ActionListeners believe will do the trick and will be able to access the labels but not convinced this is good practice.

I'm trying to implement a functionality which will control the visibility of three outputText. I'm using a selectOneMenu, which has three options. Each option will enable visibility of one outputText, and rest will be invisible.

Swing/AWT/SWT :: Can't Change Visibility Of Two JPanels When Calling Method From Button Event In Another Class

I have two classes involved in this portion. CheckIn_Search

(class #1) is my main UI and I am collecting search information from the user in a jPanel form. When they click "Search" it passes the search criteria to a method that contacts a web service and gets the results. These results are passed to coSearchResults

(class #2) that opens a jFrame and jTable (in modal format, over the main window created by CheckIn_Search.

The user selects a row in the table and that selection data is passed back to coSearchResults to populate a new jPanel form. When the data is passed from coSearchResults, I want to close its window, hide the first jPanel in CheckIn_Search and make the second jPanel visible. To accomplish this, I created a method in CheckIn_Search that simply hides/shows the panels (it will do more later).

I instantiate and call the method in CoSearchResults as part of the button click event. The problem is, it doesn't work. The panels are unaffected and there are no errors. I've put in break-points and it goes into the method.. Here is the coSearch_Results code.

Here is am retrieving the jtable row id and using the first value in the row to get the data from the table model as there is more data than what is displayed in the table. I'm sending that whole row of data to the method that changes visibility.

Swing/AWT/SWT :: JFrame Using Layered Panels With MigLayout

The question is when I hit the maximize button on the JFrame my panel instantly goes to the top left corner of the JFrame. Is it possible to center the panel inside the JFrame, when the maximize button is pushed? I am familiar with push and grow that MigLayout uses but this isn't exactly what I need. I don't want several textFields to span the screen. Instead I would rather have the panel centered.

This is just a sample project to test out the MigLayout API

I'm having trouble with this program. In my textbook it says "Write an application that displays a frame containing two panels. Each panel should contain two images (use four unique images - your choice). Fix the size of the first panel so that both of its images remain side by side. Allow the other panel to change size as needed. Experiment with the size of the window to see the images change orientation. Make sure you understand why the application behaves as it does". I successfully imported the images, but I can't find out anywhere how to allow the second panel to change size with the window.

I am writing a ComputerBaseTest application with Netbeans. I have each question on a panel and I want the questions(panels) to be switched, viewing the previous and the next question on a single frame, but I do not know how.

I only understand frame switching if each questn is to be on a frame but each score on each question (frame) do not sum up to give the overall score at the end of the test. Using multi-frame shows a sign of bad programming.

As below i m creating cookie .

I am trying to read that cookie in javascript as below.

I can see the cookie in the browser. However the read is not happening I tried to set httponly to false

myCookie.setHttpOnly(false);

However it is throwing compilation error as my servlet version is 2.5

Is there any way to get the cookie in javascript?

SetVisible Not Working When Starting On False (AWT Label)

I'm trying to create a Label using AWT (not swing) that is invisible on startup but shows up when pressung a button. Here's the relevant code:

Label:

updated = makeConfirmedLabel("Updated!");
updated.setVisible(false);

Button:

update = new Button("Update");
update.addActionListener(new ActionListener() {
@Override
public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent evt) {
MainComponent.updateComponents();
System.out.println(updated.isVisible());
updated.setVisible(true);
System.out.println(updated.isVisible());
}
});

When I press the button I get the following output in console:
false
true

If I start with setVisible(true) and use updated.setVisible(!updated.isVisible()) it works fine. Why can't I start with it hidden??

I tried to use updated.revalidate() after setting it visible. That made it work but it makes the whole UI flicker when pushing the button which isnt desired.

Determine If There Is Path From One Vertex To Another - Why Is This Returning False

This method pretty much determines if there is a path from one vertex to another. When I check to see if there is a path from 5 to 2 (which there is) it return false. However, when I create a driver method, it return true (which it should). Why? It should never reach outside of the else because the condition is met, right???

Here is the graph:

Path: 5 points to 1 and 3 (1 does not have a path to anything). 3 points to only 0. 0 points to 1 and 2. Thus there is a path from 5 to 2.
