I am not very comfortable with Strings in Java. The problem I am facing is, taking a string that contains a sentence and reversing the words. Example would be, "Hi I am Bob" and changing it to "Bob am I Hi". Then returning the String.
My initial thoughts were to change the string into a character array and then manually doing the work with loops and tedious comparison statements. I quickly realized that there must be a better way but I am not very familiar with strings in Java to know what a more sufficient way would be.
Basically the requirements are to take a sentence (string of text) and check to see how many times specific words come up and then add to the counter depending on the word.
But I can not seem to get it to add the instances of the goodwords and badwords.

I am currently taking a computer science class in high school, and its my first time programming (2 weeks since i started). I have currently finished my program however there were a few details that bothered me. I was supposed to create a program which can calculate average of individual marks and then calculate all of the average marks previously entered by user. However I noticed something that bothered me, which was the fact that if i were to enter a number when asked to enter a name, it would assume that number is a name. Also when I asked for the 5 marks the program would run fine until an error occurs if i accidentally type in a letter or word. So I have to design a program that takes a word and reverses the order of it. The exact directions are:Write a recursive method void reverse() that reverses a sentence. For example:

I've got a very simple java program (J.java, see below) on my application server that successfully connects to an Oracle 11.2 database on a database server (both servers are Linux CentOS) using JDBC thin driver from Oracle.
As you can see from the setURL command in the Java code below, I've configured the application and database servers to sit next to each other, and they're on the same network (cross-cable connected to each other), so there's no network traffic on these (development) boxes except my code.
The problem is the execution time varies a lot. If I run it 5 times, it (seemingly randomly) could take 0.01 seconds, or 10 seconds, or 50 seconds, or over a minute to execute. If it takes over a minute (roughly), the program doesn't complete, but the error shown below is returned instead.

I made a tiny app that saves notes to a folder within the classes directory where I created the .jar file.Let's say I wanted to add this to Java Web Start. Would I be able to transfer the jar file within a folder(s) or would I have to change the program so that It creates a new folder to save texts In automatically ?
